Abstract

Every child has the fundamental right to protection, which includes having a guardian. If the child's parents are still alive, they are automatically considered the guardians. But in certain cases where this is not possible, a court will assign another person or a governmental institution to act as the child's guardian. The laws and regulations surrounding guardianship in Indonesia are often inconsistent. This study aims to clarify the age requirements for children in need of a guardian, the procedures for appointing a guardian, as well as the duties and responsibilities of guardians according to Indonesian laws. The research also highlights areas for improvement. To achieve this, a statutory approach is adopted, with legal regulations in Indonesia on children and guardianship as the primary source of data. The findings reveal that the age requirements for children to have a guardian range from 16 to 19 years. Additionally, a court order is required for the appointment of a guardian to ensure legal validity. Additionally, the selection of a guardian needs to go through a court ruling in order to ensure legal clarity. The regulations differ from one to another, and in the process, there have been no affirmative efforts taken to expedite the process of appointing a guardian, which has the impact of children not being protected from the start. Affirmation efforts can be carried out through the involvement of village government officials and the subdistrict Religious Affairs Office for those who are Muslim. Then, regarding the duties and responsibilities of guardians, there are still differences either the guardian’s obligation to fulfil a child’s physical and spiritual needs or maintain the child’s assets. These provisions need to be combined to provide comprehensive protection for children from various aspects

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between parents' economic status and the learning achievement of TPQ Al-Huda students in Banda Aceh City. This study uses quantitative methods that are correlational, looking at the relationship between variable X and variable Y. The instrument used for variable X is a questionnaire and the instrument for variable Y is a report card value. The research sample used was 20 respondents. The research data were analyzed statistically descriptively (frequency and average) and inferentially using the Product Moment correlation test (r-test). The results showed that the economic status of the parents of students was in the low category, the learning achievement of students was high /very good, and there was no relationship/correlation between the economic status of parents and the learning achievement of students, where the correlation efficiency in the category was very low. The implication of the research is that not always the economic status of parents is a determining factor for children's learning success and many other factors that can influence it

Abstract

Abstract

Orangutans are a key species in biodiversity that is vital for ecosystem balance. However, the Sumatran Orangutan (Pongo abelii) population is declining due to habitat loss and the reduction of important food trees. This study aims to identify the types of food trees and tree parts consumed by Sumatran Orangutans based on height. Conducted at Ketambe Research Station, the results of the study are presented in the form of posters and teaching materials for reference. Exploratory survey method using line transects at three altitude strata (300-600 masl, 600-900 masl, and 900-1100 masl) with purposive sampling based on the presence of food trees and slope conditions. Data were collected through observation sheets and analyzed descriptively. The findings showed 50 species of food trees at 300-600 masl (60.24%), 34 species at 600-900 masl (40.96%), and 38 species at 900-1100 masl (45.78%). Tree parts consumed include fruits (81.9%), seeds (7.2%), young leaves (1.2%), flowers (1.2%), and various combinations of tree parts. This study is expected to broaden the understanding of Sumatran orangutan food tree species at various altitudes and provide important data for the management of Ketambe Research Station.
