Abstract

Several factors influence boiler efficiency, including boiler pressure, feedwater temperature, the amount of steam generated, fuel consumption, and the calorific value of the fuel. The objective of this final project report is to determine the relationship between boiler pressure variation and steam generation, the relationship between boiler pressure variation and boiler efficiency, the relationship between feedwater variation and boiler efficiency, the relationship between the amount of steam produced and boiler efficiency, the relationship between processing capacity and boiler efficiency, as well as to analyze the calorific value of fuel consisting of 82.6% fiber and 17.4% shell, and to evaluate overall boiler efficiency. The analysis shows that an increase in boiler pressure results in a higher amount of steam produced, although the increase is not significant. The relationship between steam enthalpy and boiler efficiency demonstrates a positive trend. For instance, when the steam enthalpy reached 669.4 Kcal/kg, the boiler efficiency was 68%, while at 669.5 Kcal/kg, the efficiency increased to 69%. This finding indicates that boiler pressure significantly affects efficiency performance, as higher pressure generally enhances boiler efficiency. Furthermore, processing capacity strongly influences boiler efficiency. A higher processing capacity leads to higher efficiency, as it increases the availability of fuel for combustion, thereby enabling more complete combustion.

Abstract

Palm oil is a leading agricultural commodity in Indonesia, producing CPO and PKO from the processing of fresh fruit bunches. As palm oil production increases, the volume of solid waste also increases. Solid waste from this industry, such as empty fruit bunches, shells, and fibers, contains high levels of organic matter that can pollute the environment if not managed properly. Briquettes are an alternative energy source that can be produced from this waste. This research aims to utilize palm oil shell waste into high-quality briquettes by developing an efficient charcoal briquette-making machine. The focus of the research is on developing a semi-automatic machine using a pneumatic system and a three-phase motor. Theoretical screw speed was approximately 44 rpm, while direct measurement on the machine showed 43 rpm. Furthermore, the theoretical results obtained a motor power requirement of 667.3 Watts.

Abstract

Aesthetically, the aim of this research is to reveal the musical taste and musical standards of tuo talempong in alignment talempong tradition “ mangkoan sound. By ontology and epistemology; form music talempong in life public Already Lots revealed by the researchers previously. However there are one component important that hasn't been touched by researchers, which is related to draft alignment talempong tradition in Luhak Nan Tigo Minangkabau. Principle base alignment talempong related with the musical taste and musical standards of the tuo (elders) of talempong in Luhak Nan Tigo Minangkabau. Based on qualitative research principles; The researcher becomes the main instrument in collecting research data,includinginitial study and problem analysis, primary data collection through participant observers “ ethnography, in-depth interviews “ free and structured, documentation, and data analysis.The analysis was carried out on musical taste and musical standards that were found in the field. Research results show that ' mangkoan the sound ' is A draft alignment talempong tradition in Luhak Nan Tigo Minangkabau. hrough musical sensitivity, tuo talempong in Luhak Nan Tigo Minangkabau created the concept of mangkoan sounds (tala - tuning system) to identify the high and low sounds of jantan-batino talempong.
