Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the effect of application of the PQ4R model to the student activity and material understanding of characteristic of organism by student of SMPN 5 Bandar Lampung. This research is quasi experimental with pretest-postest group design non equivalent. The samples of the research are students of class VII, VII that choosen from the population by cluster random sampling technique. The data of the research is qualitative and quantitative. The quantitative data were obtained from the average value pretest dan post test analyzed statistically using t-test and the qualitative data from learning activities of student analyzed descriptively. The result of this research indicate that application of the model PQ4R significant gave effect to the increase of activity, in which the activity of the experiment class was higher 7,25%. The learning model PQ4R gave significant effect to the increasing material understanding in which the N-gain in the experimental class 52,06%, while the control class N-gain 47,83%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model PQ4R terhadap aktivitas siswa dan penguasaan materi ciri-ciri makhluk hidup oleh siswa SMPN 5 Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini merupakan kuasi eksperimental dengan desain pretes-postes kelompok non ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIE dan VIIF yang dipilih dari populasi secara teknik cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis secara statistik menggunakan uji-t dan data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model PQ4R berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan aktivitas dimana aktivitas siswa kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi 7,25% dibandingkan kelas kontrol. Model pembelajaran PQ4R berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan penguasaan materi dimana N-gain pada kelas eksperimen 52,06%, sedangkan kelas kontrol N-gain 47,83%.Kata kunci : aktivitas siswa, ciri-ciri makhluk hidup, penguasaan materi, PQ4R

Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out the influence of PBL model to activity and students learning outcomes on management of environment subject matter. The samples were class VII A and VII C SMP Negeri 1 Rebang Tangkas which were chosen by purposive sampling technique. The design of this research were pretest-postest non equivalent. Quantitative data were obtained from student learning outcomes which were analized by t-test and u-test with signification level of 5%. Qualitative data were learning activity which were analyzed descriptively. The result showed the percentage of student learning outcomes average in experiment class which was 82,69 was higher than control class that was 71,15. the learning outcomes which were obtained from N-Gain score in experiment class was 51,16 that was higher than control class that was 38,87. Based on the research it could be conduded that PBL model gave influence to activity and student learning outcomes.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap aktivitas danhasil belajar siswa pada materi pengelolaan lingkungan. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelasVII A dan VII C SMP Negeri 1 Rebang Tangkas yang dipilih dengan teknik Purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini pretest-postest non equivalen. Data kuantatif diperoleh dari hasil belajar siswa yang di analisis menggunakan uji-t dan U pada taraf signifikasi 5%. Data kualitatif berupa aktivitas belajar yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi aktivitas siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan persentase rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa kelas eksperimen (82,69) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (71,15), Hasil belajar yang diperoleh dari nilai N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen (51,16) juga lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas control (38, 87). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model PBL berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar siswa, hasil belajar siswa, problem based learning

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to find out the influence of guided inquiry model to learning outcomes and students generic science skill on ecosystem subject matter. The samples were students of X3 and X7 SMAN 1 Seputih Banyak by Purposive Sampling technique. Design of this research was control group non equivalent. The learning outcomes data and generic skill were analyzed using t-test and U-test. The qualitative data consist of generic skill observation and student responses that were analyzed descriptively. Generic science skill average of experiment (67,83) class was higher than control class (47,89). The increasing of generic science skill in indicator of observation, formed the concept and simbolic language was followed by learning outcomes with N-gain average of experiment class was 66,70 and control class was 45,55. Based on this research ,it can be concluded that guided inquiry model gave significant influence to the improvment of learning outcomes and students generic science skill of ecosystem subject matter.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap hasil belajar dan keterampilan generik sains (KGS) siswa materi pokok Ekosistem. Sampel adalah kelas X3 dan X7 di SMAN 1 Seputih Banyak dengan teknik Purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini kelompok kontrol non-ekuivalen. Data hasil belajar dan KGS siswa dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Data kualitatif berupa data hasil observasi KGS dan tanggapan siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Rata-rata KGS siswa kelas eksperimen (67,83) lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol (47,89). Meningkatnya KGS pada indikator pengamatan langsung, membangun konsep dan bahasa simbolik diikuti dengan meningkatnya hasil belajar dengan rata-rata N-gain kelas eksperimen 66,70 dan kelas kontrol 45,55. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar dan KGS siswa materi Ekosistem.Kata kunci: ekosistem, hasil belajar , inkuiri terbimbing, keterampilan generik sains

Abstract

The aims of this study were to describe the profile and pattern of students' cooperative ability in science learning at SD Negeri 02 Rajabasa Jaya Bandar Lampung. This research was descriptive research. The sampling used saturated sampling technique, that was all students of class IV and V. The data were in the form of description on students' which were gained from the observation. The data were obtained from questionnaire given to students. The results showed that the ability of student cooperative in science learning in general has been classified as good with the percentage of 52.5% seen from the observation sheet and the questionnaires about the ability of students cooperative in general have been classified high with percentage of 69%. The pattern of cooperative formed at school was contractual cooperation.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil dan pola kemampuan kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA di SD Negeri 02 Rajabasa Jaya Bandar Lampung. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh, yaitu seluruh siswa kelas IV dan V. Data berupa deskripsi tentang kerjasama siswa yang diperoleh dari lembar observasi. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dari angket yang diberikan kepada siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan kerjasama siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA secara umum sudah tergolong baik dengan persentase 52,5% dilihat dari lembar observasi. Dilihat dari angket kemampuan kerjasama siswa secara umum sudah tergolong tinggi dengan persentase 69%. Pola kerjasama yang terbentuk pada sekolah yaitu pola kerjasama kontrak.Kata kunci: profil kemampuan kerjasama, pola kerjasama, pembelajaran IPA

Abstract

The aim of this research is to reveal the characteristics of the items of Science subject in national examination for Junior High School in the 2016/2017 academic year.This research is qualitative using documentation study. The subjects of this research is the questions of national examination. Data collection techniques through documentation study by analy-zing national examinations questions and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). The design of this research is  descriptive. The data in this study were also analyzed by using qualitative descriptive. The results of the study show that the national examination questions with the most stimulus are in the form of medium categories (52,5%). Furthermore, the most important indicator of critical thinking ability is determining the conclusions which is in the least category (22,5%). Moreover, the indicator of the most problem solving skills is identifying problems which is belong to the least category (22,5%). In addition, the national examination has the suitability of the items with the high achievement competency indicators (98%).Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan karateristik butir soal mata pelajaran IPA pada ujian nasional tingkat SMP tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif menggunakan studi dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian yaitu, soal ujian nasional. Instrumen peneli-tian menggunakan lembar penilaian dan rubrik penilaian. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi dokumentasi dengan menganalisis soal Nasional dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Data pada penelitian ini juga dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan soal ujian nasional dengan stimulus paling banyak adalah dalam bentuk gambar yang berkategori sedang (52,5%). Indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis paling banyak adalah menentukan kesimpulan yang berkategori sedikit (22,5%). Indikator keterampilan pemecahan paling banyak adalah mengidentifikasi masalah yang berkategori sedikit (22,5%). Ujian nasional memiliki kesesuaian butir soal dengan indikator pencapaian kompetensi yang berkategori tinggi sekali (98%).Kata kunci: analisis soal, kesesuaian, ujian nasional

Abstract

This study was aim to determine the effect of the picture cards through STAD learning model in improving students' mastery of the material and activities. The study design was a pretest-posttest equivalent group. The samples were VIIC and VIIB classes selected by purposive sampling. This research data were qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were the activities and students' questionnaire responses. Quantitative data was the average test scores were analyzed using t-test and U test. The results showed that the activity of working together, present their views, ask questions, listen to the discussion, and present the results of the discussion has increased. Mastery of students also increased, with the average value of N-gain of 60,43. So, the picture cards through STAD model was given  influence in increasing the activity and material mastery of students. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan kartu bergambar melalui model pembelajaran STAD dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan materi siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes kelompok ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIC dan VIIB  yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas bekerjasama, mengajukan pendapat, mengajukan pertanyaan, mendengarkan diskusi dan mempresentasikan hasil diskusi mengalami peningkatan. Penguasaan materi siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 60,43. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan kartu bergambar melalui model pembelajaran STAD berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan materi siswa. Kata kunci: aktivitas, kartu bergambar, model pembelajaran STAD, penguasaan materi.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of slide power point media learning on students learning outcomes. The design was pretest-posttest non-equivalent group. Cluster random sampling was used choosing class X1 and X2 as subjects. The quantitative data were obtained from pretest and posttest values that analyzed by gain comparison, while the qualitative data was obtained from student learning activity that were analyzed descriptively. The results show that the using of slide power point was effective to increase students learning outcomes (gain 0,61), average of students ability from each indicator that was observed had increased with high criteria. Whereas average of student learning activity in all aspects had medium criteria (74,71). Thus, it can be concluded that slide power point media can increased students learning outcomes and student learning activities on vertebrata subject matter.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas media slide power point pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian adalah desain pretes-postes kelompok non equivalen. Teknik claster random sampling digunakan dalam memilih kelas X1 dan X2 sebagai subjek. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari nilai pretes dan postes yang dianalisis dengan perbandingan gain, sedangkan data kualitatif berupa data aktivitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media slide power point efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa (gain 0,61), kemampuan siswa dari tiap indikator hasil belajar yang diamati memilki rata-rata peningkatan dengan kriteria tinggi (75,5). Sedangkan rata-rata aktivitas belajar siswa di setiap aspek memiliki kriteria sedang (74,71). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media slide power point dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan aktivitas belajar siswa pada sub materi vertebrata.Kata kunci : efektivitas pembelajaran, hasil belajar, mediaslide power point, vertebrata

Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the correlation between students’ interest and learning motivation toward biology learning product on the subject at SMAN 1 Way Tuba. The subjects of the research were the students of grade X that were chosen based on purposive sampling technique. The interest and learning motivation data were taken from questionnaire, while the learning product data was taken from block test. The data was analyzed using simple correlation (bivariate pearson) and double correlation. The result showed that there was a correlation between interest and learning product with the correlation grade 0.628 that categorized as strong, there was a correlation between learning motivation and learning product with the correlation grade 0.716 that categorized as strong, there was a correlation between interest and learning motivation  0.817 that categorized as strong. So, the interest and learning motivation have correlation with learning product, as good as the interest and motivation students, the learning product would be good.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara minat dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar biologi siswa SMA N 1 Way Tuba. Subyek pada penelitian ini siswa kelas X yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling. Data minat dan motivasi belajar diambil dari angket, sedangkan data hasil belajar diambil dari tes uji blok. Data dianalisis menggunakan korelasi sederhana (bivariate pearson) dan korelasi ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada hubungan antara minat dengan hasil belajar dengan angka korelasi 0,628 berkategori kuat, ada hubungan antara motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar dengan angka korelasi 0,716, berkategori kuat, ada hubungan antara minat dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar dengan korelasi 0,817 berkategori kuat. Jadi, minat belajar dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar memiliki hubungan, semakin baik minat dan motivasi belajar siswa maka semakin baik hasil belajar yang diperoleh siswa.Kata kunci :  biologi, hasil belajar, minat, motivasi belajar

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation and problems of practicum in junior high school in Kemiling Regency. The design used exploratory research design. The samples selection used purposive sampling technique. The research conducted implementation and problems associated laboratory that were work obtained from survey, interview, and observation and taken to technique triangulation instruments, then analyzed descriptively using Milles and Huberman model. The researchs result showed that the implementation of life organization subject practicum has good criteria, worksheet practicum which has good enough criteria, and practicum phases which have good criteria. Problems that occur in the implementation of practicum are theres no ideal laboratory space, limited equipment laboratory as the microscope, razor, and pipette drops, limited material like specimens preserved, theres no laboratory, lack of readiness of student learning and also readiness of teachers in terms of the availability of the design of learning tools.Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pelaksanaan dan permasalahan praktikum di SMP se-Kecamatan Kemiling. Desain yang digunakan adalah desain riset eksploratori. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian berupa data pelaksanaan dan permasalahan praktikum yang diperoleh dengan angket, wawancara, dan observasi serta diambil dengan teknik triangulasi instrumen, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif menggunakan model Milles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan praktikum materi organisasi kehidupan berkriteria baik, penyusunan LKS-praktikum berkriteria cukup baik, dan tahapan pelaksanaan praktikum berkriteria baik. Permasalahan yang terjadi dalam pelaksanaan praktikum yaitu tidak adanya ruang laboratorium ideal, keterbatasan alat seperti mikroskop, silet, dan pipet tetes, keterbatasan bahan seperti preparat awetan, tidak adanya laboran, kurangnya kesiapan belajar siswa dan juga kesiapan guru dalam hal tersedianya rancangan perangkat pembelajaran.Kata kunci: guru IPA, LKS-praktikum, organisasi kehidupan, pelaksanaan praktikum, permasalahan praktikum

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between the way of learning to students science conceptual matery in Bandar Lampung Middle School in the academic year 2017/2018. Samples were 104 students that were obtained using purposive sampling technique. The research design used ex post facto. The data were collected using questionnaire containing 22 statement items. The questionnaire score result was analyzed using Pearson product moment and  interpreted into percentage descriptive criteria. The result showed that the way of learning had a weak correlation to the mastery of the concept with rhit 0.215 rtab 0.193. The way of learning contribute 5% to the mastery of science concept.  Penelitian ini bertujuan menentukan keeratan korelasi antara cara belajar dengan penguasaan materi IPA peserta didik SMP Xaverius 3 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Sampel berjumlah 104 peserta didik yang diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah ex post facto design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang berisikan 22 item pernyataan, hasil skor angket dianalisis dengan uji korelasi pearson product moment dan diinterpretasikan ke dalam kriteria deskriptif persentase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan cara belajar memiliki korelasi yang lemah dengan penguasaan materi rhit 0.215 dari rtab 0.193. Cara belajar berkontribusi sebesar 5% terhadap penguasaan materi IPA.Kata kunci: cara belajar, IPA, penguasaan materi IPA
