Abstract

The goal of e-learning in fuzzy logic courses is to assist students in the learning process, create menu structures and simple operation techniques, and create prototypes for e-learning in fuzzy logic courses. The difficulty of students in implementing what they have learned stems from the fact that the advent of e-learning can make it simpler for students to access material that they do not comprehend. In this study, an analytic learning prototype was used as the research approach. The outcomes of e-learning products based on online apps in this fuzzy logic course can be used as learning material. The menu structure developed in this e-learning is a home page with an introduction to e-learning, a site page with participants, calendars, and notes. Pages that can be used to grow the network and courses are the most significant aspects of e-learning. E-learning includes material, discussion, forums, quizzes, and other activities. The findings of the validation by media specialists on this e-learning application are pretty good, indicating that it is suitable for use. According to the results of material expert validation, the material used is excellent, suggesting that it is ideal for use in fuzzy logic courses. The limited test results for Informatics study program students were in the very good category, indicating that this e-learning tool was simple to use.

Abstract

ISPA disease can be detected by analyzing the regional distribution map of the disease. Early detection of ARI is very important for effective prevention. The study conducted in Bireuen Regency used data from 2019 to 2021, sourced from dr. Fauziah Bireuen Hospital, revealed that there was an increase in ARI cases from an average of 13.18 to 59.24 per year. The aims of the study were to identify ARI clusters, analyze disease patterns using Spatial Pattern Analysis and Flexible Shaped Spatial Scanning Statistics. The methodology involves collecting patient data for each ARI case and processing it using DBSCAN to obtain cluster points on the map. Spatial Pattern Analysis is used to analyze these clusters and identify hotspot points on the map. The analysis resulted in four clusters: Cluster 1 (6 subdistrict), Cluster 2 (4 subdistrict), Cluster 3 (1 subdistrict), and Cluster 4 (6 subdistrict). The study identified 6 hotspots in 2019, 5 hotspots in 2020, and 6 hotspots in 2021. Each ARI disease clustering map shows the distribution of ARI cases and identifies areas prone to the disease. These findings provide valuable insights for targeted interventions and preventive actions in identified high-risk areas of ISPA.

Abstract

In the realm of university scholarship programs, the process of selecting deserving recipients presents a complex decision-making challenge. This study explores the integration of Fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) into the modeling of a Decision Support System (DSS) aimed at facilitating the determination of scholarship awardees. The utilization of Fuzzy AHP enables a more comprehensive and nuanced evaluation of candidates by accommodating uncertainties and imprecisions inherent in the decision-making process. This research investigates the application of Fuzzy AHP within the specific context of university scholarship recipient selection. The proposed DSS framework not only enhances the objectivity and transparency of the decision-making process but also contributes to the optimization of resource allocation and the identification of candidates best aligned with the scholarship's objectives. By employing Fuzzy AHP in this decision-support context, universities can effectively address the intricate considerations involved in awarding scholarships, thereby promoting fairness and increasing the likelihood of rewarding the most deserving individuals.

Abstract

Improving public services and efficiency in archiving are important aspects of optimizing governance at the subdistrict level. In an increasingly advanced era of information technology, the digitization of subdistricts offers a promising solution to enhance the quality of public services and the effectiveness of archiving. This paper aims to describe the implementation of subdistrict digitization in enhancing technology-based public services and archiving in the Balikpapan District. This research utilizes a descriptive method by collecting data through literature review, observation, and interviews with relevant parties in the Balikpapan subdistrict. The research findings indicate that subdistrict digitization has successfully provided significant positive impacts in improving public services and archiving efficiency in the Balikpapan District. In terms of public services, subdistrict digitization enables easier and faster access for the community to obtain information and services from the subdistrict government. The utilization of technology-based applications such as public service portals and mobile applications allows the public to submit administrative requests, access essential information, and provide feedback online. This accelerates the service process and reduces excessive bureaucracy. Furthermore, subdistrict digitization also contributes to archiving effectiveness. By adopting a technology-based archiving system, important documents can be stored electronically and well-organized. The use of database technology enables more efficient document search and management, reducing the risk of document loss or damage, and improving the speed of information access. Although there are several challenges in implementing subdistrict digitization, such as limited resources and resistance to change, the efforts made by the Balikpapan subdistrict have proven the positive benefits of adopting this technology. Subdistrict digitization has made a significant contribution to enhancing public services and archiving in the Balikpapan District and can serve as an example for other subdistricts in optimizing technology-based governance.

Abstract

Decision-making in choosing the appropriate sound system involves numerous considerations to achieve acceptable outcomes or quality. There are many critical factors influencing the selection of speaker models, such as the required program features, brand, design, power, and price. In this study, we introduce the Complex Proportional Assessment (COPRAS) method as a solution for making effective and high-quality decisions when selecting the best alternatives based on predefined criteria. The COPRAS method is employed to analyze various different alternatives and estimate their utility values. The case study presented in this research involves identifying the best alternatives according to the criteria within the context of sound systems. The COPRAS method aids in evaluating alternatives by taking into account the relative weights of each relevant attribute. Consequently, the use of the COPRAS method in selecting the best sound system has proven to be effective and beneficial. This method assists in addressing complexity, enhancing objectivity, and yielding more informative and accurate decisions.

Abstract

Wildlife videography is an essential data collection method for conducting. The video recording process of an animal like the Chelonia mydas sea turtles in its habitat requires setting up special camera or by performing complex camera movement whilst the camera operator maneuvers over its complicated habitat. The result is hours of footage that contains only some good data that can be used for further animal research but still requires human input in filtering it out This presents a problem that artificial intelligence models can assist, especially to automate extracting any good data. This paper proposes usage of machine learning models to crop images of endangered Chelonia mydas turtles to help prune through hundreds and thousands of frames from several video footages. By human supervision, we extracted and curated a dataset of 1,426 good data from our video dataset and used it to perform transfer learning on a you only look once (YOLO)v7 pre-trained model. Our paper shows that the retrained YOLOv7 model when run through our remaining video dataset with various confidence scores can crop images in the field video recordings of Chelonia mydas turtles with up to 99.89% of output correctly cropped thus automating the data extraction process.

Abstract

This study leverages machine learning (ML) techniques to predict financial default risks using smartphone data, providing a novel approach to financial risk assessment. Data were collected from 1,000 individuals who had taken personal loans, focusing on key behavioral parameters such as app usage frequency, GPS location data, and communication patterns over a six-month period prior to loan application. The analysis employed Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, and Random Forest models to determine correlations between these parameters and default risks. The Random Forest model demonstrated superior performance, achieving 85% accuracy. Key findings show that high usage of financial apps was associated with lower default risks, while irregular communication patterns and erratic mobility were significant indicators of higher risk. These results suggest that smartphone-derived behavioral data can significantly enhance traditional credit scoring methods. The study not only contributes to predictive analytics in financial risk management but also raises ethical considerations around privacy and data security.

Abstract

Dalam era digital saat ini, keterampilan literasi digital menjadi kebutuhan utama bagi generasi muda, terutama siswa di tingkat Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Literasi digital tidak hanya mencakup kemampuan teknis dalam menggunakan perangkat teknologi, tetapi juga kemampuan untuk memahami, mengevaluasi, dan menggunakan informasi secara kritis dan etis. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran media literasi digital sebagai bagian dari pojok baca di SMK, yang dapat menjadi sarana efektif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan literasi digital siswa. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif, artikel ini menjelaskan bagaimana pojok baca digital dapat diintegrasikan dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di SMK, serta bagaimana media digital dapat mendukung pengembangan literasi informasi, peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan pemanfaatan teknologi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hasil dari kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa pojok baca digital di SMK dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai literasi digital, yang pada gilirannya membantu mereka dalam mengakses dan mengelola informasi secara efektif.

Abstract

Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi, pemanfaatan aplikasi berbasis cloud menjadi solusi yang efektif untuk menyimpan dan mengelola dokumen di lingkungan kantor. Namun, masih banyak pekerja di berbagai instansi yang belum mengoptimalkan penggunaan teknologi ini, sehingga berisiko menghadapi kesulitan dalam pengelolaan data dan dokumen secara efisien. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan dan memberikan pelatihan kepada staf kantor mengenai penggunaan aplikasi cloud untuk penyimpanan dokumen secara digital. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan melalui serangkaian sesi pelatihan yang mencakup pengenalan aplikasi cloud, cara mendaftar, mengelola file, serta mengakses dokumen secara aman dari berbagai perangkat. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah ceramah, demonstrasi langsung, dan praktek mandiri. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam menggunakan aplikasi cloud, yang terbukti dapat meningkatkan efisiensi dalam penyimpanan dan akses dokumen kantor. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah pentingnya pelatihan berkelanjutan untuk mendukung adopsi teknologi baru di lingkungan kerja, serta manfaat signifikan yang diperoleh melalui penggunaan aplikasi cloud dalam pengelolaan dokumen secara lebih efektif dan aman.
