Abstract

Various factors influence the growth rate of long beans. One of the external factors that determines the growth rate of long beans is the availability of nutrients on agricultural land. The nutrient content of the planting medium can be increased by applying fertilizer. Research has been conducted on the effectiveness of bokashi and NPK fertilizer on the growth of long beans. The study aimed to determine the effectiveness of giving bokashi on the growth of long beans. Effectiveness of NPK fertilizer application on long bean growth. Effectiveness of the interaction of bokashi and NPK fertilizer on long bean growth. The research was designed in 2 factors, and data analysis used analysis of variance. Data analysis showed that giving bokahi effectively increased the number of leaves, plant height, and length but did not increase leaf width. The application of NPK fertilizer was effective in improving all measured parameters.

Abstract

Pembelajaran genetika dan biologi sel masih dilaksanakan secara teoritis oleh guru-guru biologi di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Konsep yang disampaiak guru pada kedua materi tersebut belum ditunjang praktikum berbasis kromosom. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah memberikan pelatihan mikroteknik preparasi sediaan (preparat) kromosom mitosis dan teknik pengamatannya dibawah mikroskop. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Praya pada tanggal 21 Juli 2023. Peserta pelatihan adalah guru mitra yang tergabung dalam MPMP Biologi Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah praktikum dan pendampingan, yang dikombinasikan dengan ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Kegiatan praktikum yang dilakukan, yaitu (1) pembuatan sediaan squash ujung akar, (2) observasi fase-fase mitosis kromosom, (3) observasi bentuk kromosom anafase, dan (4) dokumentasi fase-fase mitosis dan bentuk kromosom anafase dibawah mikroskop. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa guru mitra yang tergabung dalam MGMP Biologi Kabupaten Lombok Tengah sangat antusias mengikuti praktikum pada pelatihan ini yang ditandai dengan keterlibatan dan ketekunan mereka dalam membuat sediaan squash ujung akar, pengamatan fase mitosis, dan pengamatan bentuk kromosom. Melalui kegiatan pelatihan ini transfer ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan mikroteknik pembuatan sediaan mitosis ujung akar dari tim pengabdian kepada guru biologi berjalan dengan baik berkat minat dan motivasi yang tinggi semua peserta pelatihan. Produk pelatihan sediaan kromosom yang dihasilkan dapat dijadikan bahan praktikum untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran sel dan genetika di sekolah.

Abstract

Philosophy and science are human efforts to understand the concepts and methods of a scientific discipline. Changing times and developments have ushered in a philosophy of configuration by showing how the "tree of knowledge" thrives and branches out from the respective disciplines. This study aims to examine philosophy and science and their relevance in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. This research method uses the hermeneutic method in explaining the reality that occurs with elements of interpretation and description. The results of the research can be described that the study of the relationship between philosophy and science has developed so rapidly. Philosophy and science are indispensable in the development of science and technology which is marked by sharpening of scientific specialization, because by studying philosophy scientists are expected to be aware of its limitations so as not to get caught up in intellectual arrogance. It is impossible to fight against the discourse on the development of science and technology, but rather to reduce the negative impact of technology itself. In the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Society 5.0, community groups are heterogeneous, so that very complex problems arise related to technological developments and can change the mindset of human life to patterns of life that are more sophisticated with the power of technology. like robots and the internet. Thus, science which is used as an axiological milestone in directing and controlling the development of science and technology in a positive way for the benefit of humanity and its environment is philosophy and science.

Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan melalui fungsi ekologis, ekonomi, dan sosial, termasuk kemampuannya dalam mereduksi pencemaran dan melindungi garis pantai. Pemantauan kondisi mangrove menjadi langkah strategis untuk menjaga keberlanjutan ekosistem tersebut. Salah satu inovasi yang dapat diterapkan adalah penggunaan teknologi drone atau kendaraan udara tak berawak yang mampu memetakan area luas secara efisien dan akurat. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat Desa Tanjung Luar, Lombok Timur, dalam menggunakan drone untuk pemantauan kondisi ekosistem mangrove. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu (1) briefing pra-penerbangan, (2) praktik penerbangan, dan (3) evaluasi hasil pemantauan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu mengoperasikan drone secara mandiri dalam melakukan pemetaan kondisi mangrove. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, 75% peserta menilai kualitas materi pelatihan sangat baik, sedangkan 25% menyatakan baik. Selain itu, 81% peserta menilai pengelolaan pelatihan sangat baik dan 19% menyatakan baik. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan keterampilan masyarakat dalam melakukan pemantauan berbasis teknologi serta mendukung upaya konservasi ekosistem mangrove secara berkelanjutan

Abstract

Kemampuan guru dalam menganalisis kromosom profase I meiosis melalui pengamatan mikroskopis dan simulasi dapat sangat membantu dalam meningkatkan indikator pencapaian kompetensi belajar genetika di sekolah. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah melatih keterampilan guru-guru mitra yang tergabung dalam MGMP Biologi Lombok Tengah untuk melakukan (1) pengamatan kromosom profase I meiosis dibawah mikroskop, (2) analisis crossing over kromosom profase I meiosis dibawah mikroskop, dan (3) simulasi proses crossing over dan pembentukan gamet. Pengabdian ini telah dilaksanakan di SMAN 1 Praya. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, praktikum, dan simulasi. Sebelum kegiatan dimulai dilakukan pre-test dan pada akhir kegiatan dilakukan post-test. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru mitra (1) dapat membedakan leptoten, zigoten, pakiten, diploten, dan diakinensis dalam profase I meiosis, (2) dapat membuat visualisasi secara skematis subfase diploten dan menunjukkan lokasi kiasmata dengan benar, dan (3) dapat membuat simulasi proses crossing over subfase diploten dengan media plastisin. Kemampuan kognitif guru mitra meningkat signifikan dari 55,50 (pretes) menjadi 91,98 (postes).

Abstract

Indonesia is recognized as a country rich in biodiversity, boasting an extensive variety of plants and animals. Lombok Island, one of Indonesia's islands, showcases a significant level of biodiversity. This island is home to the Mount Rinjani National Park. Within the TNGR region, Aik Berik Village serves as the designated hiking route for Mount Rinjani National Park, featuring a remarkable variety of plant life, such as orchids and ferns. Nonetheless, studies exploring the orchids and ferns along the Aik Berik hiking path remain scarce, and no one has examined them across different elevations, making this research essential. This study aims to determine the types of orchids and ferns and their distribution on the Aik Berik hiking trail of Mount Rinjani National Park. The method used in this study is the cruise method. The findings of this research identified 14 genera and 24 species of orchids, which include 17 epiphytic orchids and 7 terrestrial orchids, totaling 940 individuals. The orchid with the broadest distribution is Pinalia multiflora, located at altitudes between 1,000 and 2,500 meters above sea level, with a count of 100 individuals. Conversely, the least common species is Dendrobium rindjaniense, which exists at heights of 2,000 to 2,500 meters above sea level, totaling only 5 individuals. The study also discovered 15 families, 22 genera, and 31 species of ferns, comprising 25 terrestrial ferns and 6 epiphytic ferns, amounting to 8,165 individuals in total. The fern species that is distributed the most is Macrothelypteris torresiana, found at altitudes of 1,000 to 2,500 meters above sea level, with 1,150 individuals recorded. In contrast, the species with the least distribution is Huperzia selago, which appears at altitudes between 1,000 and 2,000 meters above sea level, with just 20 individuals present.
