This qualitative research was done to describe the leadership characteristic of PT Energi Sejahtera Mas Dumai. We used interview and documentation to collect the data. The interview was done with the two ESM officers. The documentation was done to record the interview. The results obtained indicate that the leader of ESM had the following characters: charismatics, respect to people, discipline, wisdom, sincere, empowering unity, developing officersâ€™ responsibility, encouragingi, and emphaty. Currently, happened the competition of universities both state (PTN) and private (PTS) in Indonesia for gaining students. This study aimed at analyzing the promotional strategies, effectiveness, and inhibiting factors of promotion by using mixed method. Subjects in this study consisted of promotion team and prospective new students in PGRI University of Palembang as many as 53 people. Data were collected through interview and questionnaire, then analyzed by using data triangulation technique and regression test technique. The results showed that the promotion strategy undertaken by PGRI University of Palembang was Advertising, Personal Selling, Publicity, and Word of Mouth. Partial advertisement is the most influential variable (34,4%) whereas the least influence variable was Publicity (19,3%). Advertising Variables, Personal Selling, Publicity, and Word of Mouth simultaneously have a significant effect on the increase of the students by 65.6% while the remaining 34.4% was influenced by other variables. The inhibiting factors of promotional activities were insufficient promotional funds, lack of human resources in the field of communication science, as well as interpersonal communication that is less harmonic among employees.Â Keywords: Promotional Strategies; the Increase of the Students, PGRI Univerity of Palembang

Indonesia is currently in a multidimensional crisis, the moral shift of teenagers is very significant, if it is not immediately anticipated, it will have an impact on the destruction of a State. In order to overcome it, itÂ is very necessary that the values of the characters are implemented on learners early, so that they have a life prinsiple in building and continuing the journey of this country. One of the most credible concepts of education as a solution of primodialism is character education. SMP Negeri 1 Teluk Gelam has conducted character education to minimize the perimodialism attitude. Because the generation that is prepared now is a generation that will continue the establishment of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia. The research used qualitative research method of ethnography by describing character education conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Teluk Gelam namely (1) Aperception which is associated with religious values by every subject teacher 5 minutes before learning begins; (2) Applying discipline; (3) Implementation; (4) Habituation activities; (5) cooperation with Tanjung Lubuk Polsekta in guiding the students; (6) Active communication with parents.

This study aimed at finding out how much the influence of education and training on the productivity of production employees at PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk Palembang; in a manner partially and simultaneously. The research method used was descriptive quantitative. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. The sample designation technique was carried out by purposive sampling. The conclusions of this study are (1) Education Variables have no significant effect on the work productivity of production section employees. (2) Training variables proved to have a positive effect on Employee productivity at PT. Semen Baturaja (Persero) Tbk Palembang. (3) If the two variables are tested simultaneously education and training have a significant influence on employee work productivity. (4) The results show that education and training affect work productivity by 22.1%, and the remaining 77.9% is influenced by other variables. Based on the results of the calculation shows the multiple linear regression equation, namely: Y = 2.281 + 0.247 + 0.478. The regression coefficient is positive, so it can be said that the direction of influence of education and training is a positive influence.

This study determined the effect of Full Day School and Teacher Certification on Teacher Performance. Data in this study were collected through distributing questionnaires to respondents. The results of filling out the questionnaire were analyzed by multiple regression analysis through t test, F test, and the coefficient of determination test. The population of the study was junior high school teachers in Sukarami Subdistrict from 4 schools totaling 109 people. The sample is based on calculations using the Slovin formula. 86 teachers were obtained as a sample. The results of this study (1) There is an effect of Full Day School on the Performance of Junior High School Teachers in Sukarami District; (2) There is an effect of teacher certification on teacher performance; (3) There is the influence of Full Day School and Teacher Certification together on the performance of junior high school teachers in Sukarami District. Based on the test results of the coefficient of determination, the teacher performance variable is influenced by the full day school variable and teacher certification. Besides that it is influenced by other factors outside the research variables.

This study aimed at determining the management for improring the quality of Student in SMK PGRI Tanjung Raja. This research is qualitative case study was done by the data triangulation observations, interviews and documentation. The informant as a data source that use in this research is the reseach of internal, 1) the Principal; 2) five head teachers of vocational programs; 3) Students; 4) assistant principal of students affair while external data sources 1) Parents of students; 2) The community is closely related to the management of improving the quality of students in SMK PGRI Tanjung Raja, Ogan Ilir Regency. The results of the study showed that students in SMK PGRI Tanjung Raja first took the test because in SMK had to choose the vocational training to grow their knowledge competencies, and their students' competency skills based on their interests, talents or abilities in vocational expertise. The strategy of principalâ€™s for implementing the improvement of the quality of students is to establish a standardization of management to improve the quality of students in five programs. To improve quality, it demands continuous improvement and can also improve achievement in each department. The way to maintain academic and non-academic achievements can be done by studying and practicing hard. One process of improving the quality of education can be done with school accreditation, namely B (Good) with a value of 86.

This study determined the effect of headmaster management and teacher professionalism on teacherâ€™s performance. This research used quantitative methods with correlational type of research. The population of this study were 309 teachers Tanjung Raja Public Elementary School. The research sample was 76 people. Data collection techniques using documents and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using correlation analysis and multiple regression techniques. The results of the study show that (1) school principal management influences the performance of teachers; (2) teacher professionalism does not affect the performance of teachers; (3) school management and teacher professionalism do not affect the performance of teachers.

Managerial ability and work motivation of school principals are important for a leader to have so that the implementation of school-based management can be implemented well. This study was conducted with the aim to determine the effect of the principal's managerial ability on the quality of school-based management implementation, work motivation of principals on the quality of school-based management implementation and the influence of managerial ability and work motivation of principals together on the quality of school-based management implementation in high school all Makarti Jaya Districts. This research method is quantitative descriptive. The research sample used the Slovin formula and was taken by simple random sampling technique. The results of the research conducted are managerial ability has a positive and significant impact on the quality of the application of school based management.

This research aims to determine the influence of work discipline and organizational culture on employee performance, with work motivation as an intervening variable at the OKU Housing and Settlement Area Service in Baturaja. This type of research is associative. The variables researchers use are work discipline, organizational culture, work motivation, and performance. The sample in this research was 125 employees of the OKU Regency Housing and Settlement Area Service in Baturaja who were selected using cluster sampling. The data used in this research is primary data collected through a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is Structural Modeling Equation (SEM) with the Lisrel Program Application. The results of this research show that (1) work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (2) organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (3) work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee work motivation, (4) organizational culture has an insignificant effect on employee work motivation, (5) work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the OKU Regency Housing and Settlement Area Service in Baturaja

This study was to determine Adiwiyata-Based School Management in SMP Negeri 5 Prabumulih. Data were collected using observation, documentation, and interviews. While the method used is descriptive qualitative method. The results of the research indicate that (1) the implementation of the Adiwiyata Program has successfully contained a vision, mission, goals and targets which include environmental protection and management policies, (2) The Adiwiyata School Program has included the 2013 Curriculum which is carried out thematically and integrated with all environmental-based subjects, (3) participatory-based environmental activities in the Adiwiyata Program have been carried out well by all school residents in order to maintain and maintain the school building and environment, (4) the school has managed well supporting facilities that are environmentally friendly and child-friendly. The headmaster of Prabumulih 5 Middle School in the Adiwiyata School Program has been running successfully, as evidenced by the award as the 2019 Adiwiyata National School from the Ministry of the Environment.
