Since the last two decades in the 20th century, the European Union (EU) has presented itself as a leader in climate change issues. The leadership manifested in the formation of the European Union Emission Trading Scheme (EU ETS) as an effort to fulfill the commitments of the Kyoto Protocol to reduce emissions in the region. But the existence of the EU ETS has been challenged by the emergence of carbon credits hacking case in some national registration systems in the EU ETS. This study discusses the implementation of cyber security in the European Union which has not been able to prevent the occurrence of carbon credits hacking in 2010-2013. This study uses the collective identity and role identity concepts of constructivism. Collective identity explains the implementation of cyber security in the EU, while the role identity explains the effect of EU leadership on the issue of climate change. The results show that the collective identity of cyber security in the European Union has a systemic and strategic issue namely the lack of homogeneity of the implementation of the policies and the lack of perception of the cyber-attacks as a common threat. The EU itself tends to focus on achieving the emissions reduction commitments through the market mechanism in the EU ETS.

The vast growth of the environmentalist and animal rights movement during the 20thcentury has posed radicalization within it. Being labeled as the most active radical animalrights group in the United States, Animal Liberation Front (ALF) has emerged as the mostserious domestic terrorist threat in the country. In 1990, ALF created a series of attackscalled “Operation Bite Backâ€, through which it imposed threats and showed how this actof eco-terrorism is perpetrated. The purpose of this research is to give explanatory answerto why ALF chose the method of eco-terrorism in Operation Bite Back. By using ResourceMobilization theory, the result of this research is that the ALF’s cell-formedorganizational structure and its leaderless resistance strategy give its members chances tobecome the key players and conduct their own attacks. In this case, Rod Coronado becamethe main variable of the eco-terrorist attacks. The analysis of this case has proven therationaliy of the actor in deciding the method and how internal and external factors areinterconnected and mobilized, making it highly significant to the formation of movements.

This study aims to find out how the Government of Indonesia implements itsderadicalization programme, more specifically to know to what extent its implementationis. This study is based on concerns about the fate of deradicalization programme ascountries’ few options to combat the terrorism in a soft way. Whereas, the officialauthorized’s of the more-advanced-countries than Indonesia claim succedd on it, at the endthey fail to give any proof of their achievement. Whilst Indonesia, who is still new to joinalso claim succedd just like any other country else, it is later known in this study thatIndonesia still has not succeded in achieveing its goal in doing deradicalization. Instead, the study suggests that what is thought to be the success of deradicalization is actually thedisengagement of violence. The study’s suggestion itself is obtained after having doneintervies with various parties who are considered to be representative and have it analyzedwith process-tracing technique.

In July 2016, South Korea agreed with US to install the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) in its territory. This agreement rejectedby China which considered the instrument would disrupt its sovereignty and is only US's way to instill its influence in East Asia Region. China's resistance has led to boycotts of South Korean cultural industry cluster. The issue surrounding THAAD was ended after South Korean Foreign Minister stated her position on China's concern. South Korea issued a statement about Three NOs, namely: 1) no additional THAAD deployment; 2) no participation in US‟s missile defense network; and 3) no establishment of a trilateral military alliance with US and Japan. A day later, China issued a statement regarding the normalization of relations with South Korea. This study aims to determine the cause of South Korea agreed on Three NOs in normalizing relations with China. This study uses theory of interdependencewith linkage strategy. The method used is qualitative with explanatory type. As a result, Three NOs is a form of exchange of issues so that boycotts can be stopped. This was motivated by South Korea's interdependence on its cultural industry cluster and China. South Korea‟s strategy is said to be successful because it provides a win-win solution for two countries.
