Abstract

Karkas Ayam yang merupakan salah satu produk kelolaan perusahaan PT ABC yang terkenal dengan kualitasnya yang baik. Hal ini ditunjang dengan penerapan SOP di perusahaan yang dilakukan secara berkesinambungan. SOP sendiri adalah salah satu alat untuk mengendalikan kualitas produk karkas ayam yang baik. Akan tetapi, terkadang masih ditemukan karkas ayam yang belum memenuhi standar. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dilakukan analisis dalam hal pengendalian kualitas produk karkas ayam. Tujuan dari pengendalian kualitas pada karkas ayam adalah untuk mengetahui terjadinya kecacatan pada karkas ayam yang mungkin sudah terbuka atau cukup lama dalam kemasan (kadaluarsa) sehingga menjadikan karkas ayam berubah warna dan tidak layak untuk dikonsumsi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi kasus dengan analisisis data menggunakan diagram Ishikawa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di PT.ABC, yang terletak di Kabupaten Tanah Laut, Kalimantan Selatan. Waktu Pelaksanaan dimulai dari Oktober 2023 sampai Januari 2024. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang didapat yaitu masalah yang terjadi pada karkas ayam di perusahaan, terbagi menjadi beberapa kategori berdasarkan faktor–faktornya yaitu manusia, lingkungan, metode dan material. Dari berbagai masalah di atas maka pengendalian kualitas harus ditingkatkan dimulai dari kategori manusia yaitu meningkatkan kepedulian terhadap mutu produk dan ketelitian pada pengangkutan karkas ayam agar mengurangi terjadinya sobek pada kemasan yang dapat mengakibatkan kemasan terbuka. Penyimpanan frozen food di dalam Cold storage harus tetap dijaga dan dirapikan. Penerapan kualitas pada produk frozen dimulai dari lingkungannya yang terjaga dan pekerjanya yang teliti dalam menjaga suhu ruang dan kebersihan Cold storage.

Abstract

Peternak membutuhkan alat bantu yang dapat memaksimalkan efisiensi dalam proses pencacahan rumput, sehingga dapat menghemat waktu dan tenaga yang dikeluarkan. Dengan demikian, proses pencacahan rumput dapat dilakukan dalam waktu yang lebih singkat. Oleh karena itu, alat pencacah rumput menjadi kebutuhan penting bagi para peternak. Secara umum, mesin pencacah rumput terdiri dari motor sebagai penggerak, sistem transmisi sebagai pemindah tenaga, casing untuk melindungi komponen mesin, poros rangka, dan pisau panjang. Dalam pembuatan mesin pencacah, penting untuk memperhatikan kekuatan rangka, ketajaman pisau yang mampu bertahan dalam banyak pemakaian, serta performa mesin yang maksimal sesuai dengan fungsi dan kebutuhan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini melibatkan variasi ukuran pulley. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa pulley kecil dengan kecepatan putaran 500 rpm mampu mencacah 1 kg rumput dalam waktu 40 detik, sedangkan pulley besar dengan kecepatan 1500 rpm membutuhkan waktu lebih lama, yaitu 118 detik untuk mencacah 1 kg rumput. Farmers need tools that can maximize efficiency in the grass chopping process, helping them save both time and energy. This enables the grass chopping process to be completed in a shorter amount of time. Therefore, a grass chopper is an essential tool for farmers.In general, a grass chopper consists of a motor as the driving force, a transmission system to transfer power, a casing to protect machine components, a frame shaft, and long blades. When designing a grass chopper, it is crucial to consider the strength of the frame, the sharpness of the blades to withstand multiple uses, and the overall performance of the machine to ensure it functions optimally according to its intended purpose.The method used in this study involved variations in pulley sizes. The results showed that a small pulley with a rotation speed of 500 rpm could chop 1 kg of grass in 40 seconds, whereas a large pulley with a rotation speed of 1500 rpm took longer, requiring 118 seconds to chop 1 kg of grass.

Abstract

Technology can be used as a preventive measure to avoid theft. One technology that can interfere and even make the perpetrator cancel the robbery is an alarm. With the sound of the alarm, the thief can be surprised and will immediately save himself because he is worried about being caught. Until now, various alarm technologies have been studied, from simple to complex. There are also many sensors used as triggers for alarm activation. This study created a simple anti-break alarm that is not easily turned off using a magnetic switch and relay. Several parameters are measured to determine the performance of the input and output of the alarm such as voltage and current, then a consistency test is carried out from the alarm that was created. The results obtained were that the alarm functioned properly. The alarm can sound when the door is opened then continues to sound and does not break when the door is closed again. The alarm also works consistently after 100 tests.

Abstract

The turning process in manufacturing is used as the formation of cylindrical components, threads and drilling. ST41 steel has the ability to form, weld and treat, so it is used as a material for tools and automotive components. Insert tools with long life (live time), resistance to wear and high temperatures are better than conventional tools, making the type of insert tool used for various cutting processes. The quality of turning is determined by the selection of cutting parameters that are appropriate to the type of material being cut and the tool used. Lathe parameters are feed rate, cutting speed, deep cut. Feed rate parameters affect process time, surface roughness and tool wear. The use of excessive feed rate causes surface roughness outside tolerance and large tool wear. Therefore, research on ST 41 steel with insert tools to obtain optimal parameters is needed. Research using the experimental study method aims to analyze the effect of tool wear values ​​on changes in feed motion and surface roughness. Turning of ST41 steel on a GUT C0636D X 1000 lathe, CCMT 060204 insert tool, 0.6mm depth cut, 300 rpm cutting speed and feed rate variation of 0.1620, 0.3250, 0.8120 mm/rev. The results of the study measured the tool wear value increasing against feed rate and surface roughness. The highest tool wear value is 0.021 grams, namely with a feed rate variation of 0.8120 mm/rev, a surface roughness of 8.961 μm is obtained. The lowest tool wear value is 0.005 grams, namely with a feed rate of 0.6120 mm/rev, a surface roughness of 5.300 μm is obtained.

Abstract

The cutting quality of a lathe is influenced by various cutting parameters. Spindle speed is the main parameter that influences the level of surface roughness and tool wear. The research aims to understand the impact of using a VNMG 160408-MA type insert tool in cutting AISI 4340 steel on surface roughness and tool wear values. The spindle speeds used are 190 rpm, 300 rpm, 460 rpm, 755 rpm, 1,255 rpm, feed rate 0.209 mm/rev, and cutting depth 0.5 mm. Experimental methods were used in the research. The research results showed that variations in spindle speed had a significant effect on surface roughness, tool wear and cutting temperature as evidenced by the P-Value < 0.05. At a value at a spindle speed of 190 rpm, the surface roughness value was 6.195 μm, tool wear was 0.002 grams and tool temperature was 48.178 °C. The spindle speed value of 1,255 rpm measured a surface roughness value of 1.971 μm, tool wear of 0.053 grams, and tool temperature of 90.389 °C.

Abstract

Vehicles with conventional engines produce heat from combustion in the engine, so that the engine temperature is stable, a radiator water system is needed. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of water coolant and plain water temperatures on fuel consumption. The method used was to test 3 variations of engine speed, namely 1000, 1500 and 2000 rpm on fuel consumption and engine temperature. The results obtained showed that the average fuel consumption was the same when using water coolant and plain water at an engine speed of 1000 rpm and the water coolant temperature was 3 oC lower than the temperature of plain water. While the average fuel consumption when using water coolant was 17 mL lower than using plain water at engine speeds of 1500 rpm and 2000 rpm, with a temperature drop of 1-3 oC. So, fuel consumption and temperature were lower when using water coolant than when using plain water.

Abstract

Glycerol, a byproduct of biodiesel production, can be transformed into value-added compounds such as triacetin, which serves as an effective octane booster in gasoline. This study investigates the acetylation of glycerol with acetic acid using calcium oxide (CaO) as a heterogeneous catalyst. Catalyst concentrations of 1%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, and 10% were tested under reaction conditions of 100C for 180 minutes. The resulting products were analyzed using gas chromatographymass spectrometry (GC-MS) to identify acetylated derivatives. Among the tested conditions, 5% CaO yielded the highest triacetin content. The acetylated product was then blended into gasoline at a 5% concentration. Fuel testing showed an increase in the Research Octane Number (RON) from 84 (pure gasoline) to 93 with the addition of triacetin, along with slight increases in fuel density and viscosity. These findings highlight the potential of CaO-catalyzed glycerol acetylation for producing high-performance fuel additives.

Abstract

Spark plugs are the most important thing in the combustion system. Spark plugs in internal combustion using gasoline significantly affect vehicle performance. Likewise, fuel use must follow the compression ratio in the combustion chamber. The purpose of this study was to obtain the effect of differences in hot, cold, and medium spark plugs on engine performance and also the effect of fuel differences in supporting the performance of pertalite and pertamax two-wheeled vehicles in supporting the performance of 135 CC two-wheeled four-stroke vehicles in 2009. The result with hot spark plugs will maximizer-pm, increasing torque and power with pertalite fuel—the effectiveness of increasing power by 31%.

Abstract

The availability of solar energy has great potential for application in the agricultural sector. Electrical power from photovoltaic cells or solar panels mainly depends on sunlight at certain times. The use of this technology can be applied to pump drives in agricultural irrigation systems. In this research, we try to measure a certain time with the efficiency of components from using solar photovoltaic (SPV) with the water discharge produced by the pump on these components. From the experimental results, it was found that the best efficiency was at 14.00 WITA with an efficiency of 57% with the panel facing directly to the sun. From pump testing, it was found that the average water flow was 20.95 liters/minute. From these performance tests, Indonesia itself has sufficient levels of solar radiation to use solar panels as an alternative to sustainable resource.
