Abstract

The effective mixing can be seen from the length of the stretching, the number of folding and the consumption of electric power required in the process. A suitable type of stirrer, a varying number of blades, can enrich the flow pattern created. This study aims to determine the effect of the number of mixing blades on the mixing pattern and the consumption of electric power in the vertical mixer. the number of blades varied (number of blades 4,6,8 pieces). The test material is given a dye, so that we can see the mixing pattern that occurs for electrical power consumption can be calculated with a digital multimeter. From the results of this study, we will be able to measure the length of the stretching and the number of folding produced in rounds 1-4. And will be compared with the required electric power consumption. The results showed that the more mixing blades used, the less power consumption required. The more blades used, the longer the stretching results. The more mixing blades used, the more folding can be produced..Keywords: mixing, stretching, folding, number of blades

Abstract

Sieving is the separation of various mixtures of solid particles that have various sizes of materials using a sieve. The sieving process is also used as a cleaning tool, separating contaminants with different sizes from the raw material. This study aims to determine the effect of the vibrating screen angle on the sieve's performance. The research was conducted by experiment using a flat type vibrating sieve. The angle of the sieve was varied by 0, 5o, 10oand 15o. The vibratory motion of the sieve was varied with the crank method using a rotation of 13.5; 21.3 and 27 rpm. The sieve holes use a screen with mesh sizes number 8, 10 and 12. The sifted sand is 1 kg. Data were collected for the fine and coarse sieve results and the sieving time. The results showed that the angle of the sieve had an effect on the performance of the sieve .

Abstract

Raket merupakan faktor penting dalam olahraga bulutangkis. Pengembangan desain dan material menghasilkan berbagai merk produk di pasaran. Karakteristik produk sangat penting diketahui sebagai bahan pertimbangan pemilihan raket. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan uji perbandingan karakteristik koefisien restitusi beberapa produk raket bulutangkis. Penelitian dilakukan dengan cara eksperimen. Raket yang digunakan sejumlah 4 (empat) merk dengan inisial D, K, H dan Y. Ketegangan senar dikondisikan sebesar 25 lbs. Shuttlecock dijatuhkan dari ketinggian 100 cm. Pengambilan data dilakukan sebanyak 5 (lima) kali untuk penghitungan nilai rata-rata. Pengambilan datajuga dilakukan pengamatan dengan kamera. Hasil pengambilan data diolah dengan sotfware Kinovea 0.8.15 untuk mendapatkan nilai tinggi pantulan. Selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan nilai koefisien tumbukan (koefisien restitusi - COR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tinggi pantulan dan nilai koefisien tumbukan setiap jenis raket relatif berbeda yang disebabkan karena perbedaan ukuran bidang pantulan raket.

Abstract

Penelitian pengukuran kekuatan pukulan di Indonesia masih menggunakan metode pengukuran tidak langsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan hasil pengembangan pengukuran kekuatan pukulan tangan menggunakan prinsip tekanan piston dan silinder dari peredam kejut (shock breaker). Penelitian dilakukan dengan merancang dan membuat peralatan pengukuran kekuatan pukulan menggunakan prinsip gerakan piston dan silinder. Uji coba alat ukur dilakukan dengan 5 orang atlet dengan jarak pukulan 25, 30, 35 dan 40 cm. Variabel yang diamati meliputi kekuatan pukulan dan kecepatan pukulan. Pengambilan data kekuatan pukulan dilakukan dengan pengukuran tekanan di dalam tabung silinder menggunakan manometer tipe Bourdon. Kecepatan pukulan didapatkan dari hasil bagi jarak pukulan dengan waktu yang didapat dari hasil rekaman pengambilan data. Hasil pengukuran digunakan untuk menghitung kekuatan pukulan. Gerak pukulan direkam menggunakan kamera. Hasil-hasil pengukuran juga telah menunjukkan kesesuaian dengan teori-teori pendukung. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa alat ukur yang dikembangkan dapat diaplikasikan untuk pengukuran kekuatan pukulan.

Abstract

Fishermen in the coastal area of Kebunrejo hamlet, Alasrejo village, Wongsorejo sub district, Banyuwangi district are traditional fishermen. The boat used is a small boat with a sail. Catching fish is carried out by fishing line which is stretched out with strings. Storage of catches using simple foam boxes. The use of sail has weather problems that cause the total fishing trip travel time to be ± 5 hours. The amount of travel time and a simple storage box causes the freshness of the fish to be not optimal and the selling value is relatively low. Community partnership program activities are carried out with the aim of increasing the income level of fishermen with the application of diesel engines with propellers. The partners are 4 (four) fishermen. Activities carried out by designing, manufacturing and using a 24 Hp diesel engine with 2 blades brass propeller as a replacement for the sail driving power. The results of the activity show that the partners get technical benefits including improvements to boat propulsion device, increased speed of movement of boats at sea, relatively low fuel needs and operating costs, and income opportunities from actors in sea fishing tourism.

Abstract

Motorcycle workshops are a vehicle maintenance service business sector that is in great demand as the number of motorcycles increases. The technical activities of the business have potential hazards related to aspects of Occupational Safety and Health (K3). This community service activity is carried out to identify hazard risks and provide knowledge on OHS aspects in motorcycle repair shops. The activity was carried out by involving two small business partners of a motorcycle repair shop who were selected by considering the age of the owner and the location of the business. Activities are carried out with the stages of coordination, implementation and preparation of reports and publication of activities. The results of the activity show that partners really need K3 knowledge but prioritize things that are practical and easy to implement.

Abstract

Pemukul atau bet dalam tenis meja merupakan perangkat yang sangat penting. Ketebalan lapisan bahan bet dapat mempengaruhi pantulan bola dan menentukan pola permainan seorang pemain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pengaruh ketebalan karet pemukul (bet) tenis meja terhadap tumbukan bola. Penelitian dilakukan dengan eksperimen. Ketebalan lapisan karet divariasikan sebesar 1 mm, 2 mm dan 3 mm. Tinggi awal jatuh bola divariasikan sebesar 75 cm, 100 cm dan 125 cm. Bola yang digunakan memiliki berat 24 gram. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan 5 kali ulangan. Pengamatan dilakukan dengan kamera. Data kamera dianalisis menggunakan Kinovea 08.15 untuk mendapatkan tinggi pantulan. Data tinggi awal dan tinggi pantulan digunakan untuk mendapatkan nilai koefisien tumbukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh ketebalan karet terhadap tinggi pantulan dan koefisien tumbukan serta fenomena tumbukan yang terjadi.

Abstract

This study is aims to get the influence of the foot angle in soccer kick on the motion of the ball. The research was carried out by making a leg swing device such as an impact test on material testing. The independent variables include foot angle: 0o (straight to the ball), 25o, and 35o (inner and outer legs) and the angle of swing arm: 45o, 60o, and 75o. The dependent variable is the ball path observed and recorded with the camera. Experimental data was carried out on a cement floor with a length of 5 meters. Five times repetition data collection are done to get the average value. Analysis is carried out to obtain the trajectory characteristics in the form of angles of spherical trajectories. The distance of the trajectory and the time indicated on the recording data is used to calculate the ball velocity. Swing angle data is used to calculate the amount of kick force with the equation of impact energy. The results show that the angle of the foot in the kick of football affects the trajectory of the ball motion. The angle of the foot affects the angle of the ball deviation, the velocity of motion and the energy absorbed by the ball.

Abstract

Bola voli dan bola sepak merupakan 2 cabang olahraga yang banyak diminati masyarakat. Penelitian dan pengembangan bola akan berpengaruh terhadap unjuk kerja bola dan dapat meningkatkan kualitas permainan serta mengurangi cedera atlet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan pengaruh tekanan udara bola voli dan bola sepak terhadap pantulan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan eksperimen. objek uji meliputi 2 merk bola voli dan 2 merk bola sepak. Tekanan udara divariasi untuk bola voli sebesar 0,35; 0,40; 0,45 dan 0,50 atm, bola sepak 0,5; 0,75; 1,0 dan 1,25 atm. Bola dijatuhkan secara bebas dari ketinggian 100 cm pada jarak 30 cm dari dinding. Bola dijatuhkan ke lantai dengan permukaan rata yang relatif keras. Pengambilan data dilakukan untuk pengukuran tinggi pantulan dan waktu untuk 5 kali pantulan. Ketinggian diukur dengan mistar ukur yang diletakkan di dinding. Pengamatan gerak jatuh bola dilakukan dengan kamera. Hasil dari  pengambilan gambar analisis dengan program Kinovea 0.8.15. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin besar tekanan udara, pantulan bola semakin tinggi. Hasil untuk waktu 5 kali pantulan, semakin besar tekanan udara, waktu pantulan semakin lama.  Effect of air pressure on volleyball and soccer balls on reflection AbstractVolleyball and soccer are popular sport in society. Ball research and development have effect due to ball performance. It’s also can raise game quality and lower athlete’s injury. This research is aimed to get the effect of volley and soccer balls air pressure due to the bounce. The research is done by experiment. Two different volley and soccer balls are tested. The air pressure is vary as 0,35; 0.40; 0.45; and 0.50 atm for volley ball and 0,5; 0,75; 1,00; and 1,25 atm for soccer ball. The ball is free fall from 100 cm height with 30 cm distance from near wall. Ball is drop to flat and solid floor. The data is taken for 5 times bounce height. The height is measure with measuring scale that placed at the wall. The ball motion is captured by a camera. The data is analyzed with Kinovea 0.8.15. The results showed that the greater the air pressure, the higher the ball reflection. Results for 5 times the reflection time, the greater the air pressure, the longer the reflection time.

Abstract

Objective:  So this study is trying to analyze the potency of Javanesse Gending as the therapeutic music. It is a further exploration of the finding state that the Gending Tejanatha has the spectral characteristic similarity with The Magic Flute of Mozart. Material and methods: The study was done by analyze the audio characteristics patterns of five Javanesse Gending (JG) compare with the  five classical music (CM) of Mozart and Beethoven. The audio characteristics were obtained from the sound analyzer program. The results were in form of spectral graphics. The parameters include spectral envelope, sound intensity and frequency.Result:  JG and CM have different pattern for the left and the right audio. This indicate difference stimulus for the neural, that will appear as cross references for primary audiory area. The frequencies of JG is higher than CM. The frequency and envelope indicate the variation of emotion that will be induced. It represent the sound colour (timbre). The JG timbre is determined by the material of the instruments, used to made from copper or iron. This material does infuence the emotional responses, especially to the player (pengrawit). The influence of the timbre, not as intens as the influence of the musical tempo that relate with the rhythm harmony. In the JG, the musical tempo represent the soul of this music. It is very essential. The tempo changes from the  usual pattern will raise the anxiety.Conclusion: It can be concluded that the JG has the same potency as the CM to be used as therapeutic music. The JG has the higher potency to influence emotional state than the CM due to its envelope profile.
