Abstract

Kemampuan literasi matematika ialah suatu kemampuan individu dalam bernalar, membuat rumusan, memakai, serta memberikan interpretasi matematika untuk memecahkan permasalahan dunia nyata. Peringkat PISA Indonesia naik 5-6 peringkat pada 2022 dibanding 2018, namun skor membaca, matematika, dan sains turun 12-13 poin. Rendahnya literasi matematis disebabkan kesulitan siswa menghadapi soal level 1 dan 2 PISA. Adapun faktor yang memengaruhi adalah gaya belajar. Adapun penelitian ini memiliki tujuan : (1) Untuk mengetahui gaya belajar siswa, (2) Mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa berdasarkan gaya belajar saat menyelesaikan soal open-ended SPLDV, (3) Mengetahui faktor yang memengaruhi rendahnya kemampuan literasi matematika. Metode penelitian menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dengan subjek 3 siswa kelas IX 1 SMP Negeri 7 Denpasar pada gaya belajar visual, auditori, dan kinestetik. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes uraian, angket, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 48,57% siswa dominan visual, 28,57% kinestetik, dan 22,86% auditori. Kemampuan literasi matematika siswa visual sangat baik, auditori baik, dan kinestetik cukup baik. Faktor yang memengaruhi kemampuan literasi matematika adalah gaya belajar, metode pembelajaran di kelas, dan minat siswa terhadap matematika.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik mempunyai pengaruh terhadap keberhasilan belajar matematika siswa, serta untuk menilai tingkat relevansi pengaruh tersebut. Penelitian ini mengkaji data yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, angket, ujian esai, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik kuantitatif, dengan desain penelitian ex post facto. Desain penelitian ini adalah kausal-komparatif, termasuk purposive sampling. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 7 Denpasar, dengan sampel dua kelas, VII.5 dan VII.9 di SMP Negeri 7 Denpasar. Data penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik mempunyai pengaruh sebesar 50,6% terhadap keberhasilan belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 7 Denpasar. Dengan tingkat signifikansi 5%, dapat disimpulkan bahwa motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik mempunyai pengaruh yang cukup besar terhadap kemampuan belajar matematika siswa.

Abstract

The study material on circle areas is contextually oriented and aids students in comprehending their surrounding environment. Higher-order thinking skills are imperative for the success of circular learning, as they help students grasp concepts holistically and solve concept problems. "What-if" questions can enhance students' higher-order thinking skills through problem-solving activities, fostering critical and creative thinking. However, applying "what-if" questions is limited to serving as problem-posing triggers, resulting in minimal variation in the material. Therefore, this study aims to design a learning trajectory for the area of circles based on "what-if" questions to enhance students' higher-order thinking skills. This research also addresses the gap by utilizing "what-if" questions to construct and evaluate circle area learning activities. We employed design research as the research method, conducted in three stages: preliminary design, experimental design, and retrospective analysis. The results demonstrated that the designed learning trajectory enhanced higher-order thinking skills in various aspects. Students exhibited critical thinking and profound analysis when working on worksheets and addressing the provided problems. Moreover, students showcased creative and divergent thinking abilities, enabling them to generate alternative problem solutions. Furthermore, optimizing technology usage and emphasizing reasoning in learning should be augmented to enhance student motivation and foster innovative learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan self-regulated learning siswa melalui penerapan model Discovery Learning berbantuan media Google Sites Penelitian dirancang sebagai Classroom Action Research yang diimplementasikan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus mencakup empat fase: (1) perumusan rencana aksi, (2) implementasi tindakan, (3) pengamatan, dan (4) evaluasi refleksi. Partisipan penelitian melibatkan 43 siswa kelas X RPL 1 SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar pada tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Tingkat self-regulated learning siswa diukur melalui kuesioner yang mencakup aspek metakognitif, motivasi, dan perilaku. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase skor kemampuan self-regulated learning siswa mengalami peningkatan dari pra-siklus hingga siklus II, yaitu 56,07%, 64,80%, dan 73,87%. Pada akhir siklus II, persentase siswa yang memiliki kemampuan self-regulated learning dalam kategori tinggi dan sangat tinggi mencapai 79,07%. Dengan demikian, penerapan Discovery Learning berbantuan media Google Sites dapat meningkatkan kemampuan self-regulated learning siswa.

Abstract

Rendahnya keterlibatan dan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya pada materi trigonometri, menjadi perhatian utama dalam proses pembelajaran di SMK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa Kelas X DKV 2 SMK Negeri 1 Denpasar melalui penerapan model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) yang didukung oleh media manipulatif TrigoWheel. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan ketuntasan belajar dari 63,33% pada pra-siklus menjadi 83% pada Siklus I dan meningkat lagi menjadi 93% pada Siklus II. Selain itu, rata-rata nilai siswa juga meningkat dari 77,67 pada pra-siklus menjadi 87,00 pada Siklus I, dan menjadi 93,23 pada Siklus II. Dengan demikian, penggunaan model pembelajaran PBL yang didukung media manipulatif TrigoWheel terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa

Abstract

The Minimum Competency Assessment (AKM) emphasizes numeracy as a vital skill for lifelong learning; however, AKM questions often lack cultural relevance, limiting students’ engagement and understanding. To address this issue, this study aims to develop numeracy questions based on Balinese ethnomathematics aligned with AKM by integrating local cultural contexts to make mathematical concepts more meaningful. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, involving eighth-grade junior high school students selected through purposive random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, tests, and expert evaluations, then analyzed quantitatively to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the questions. The results show that these ethnomathematics-based questions possess very high validity, practicality, and effectiveness, while also meeting the cognitive demands of AKM and enhancing student engagement. By integrating Balinese cultural elements such as traditional practices and local contexts, these questions help students connect abstract mathematical concepts with real-life applications. This study demonstrates the potential of culturally-based assessments to improve mathematical understanding and foster cultural pride, offering a framework for broader application in various educational contexts to promote more inclusive and meaningful learning.

Abstract

The transition from online learning to limited face-to-face learning requires innovation in learning to increase students' motivation and learning outcomes. This study aims to develop differentiated mathematics learning to improve student learning outcomes and determine the quality of differentiated mathematics learning. This study is a development study using the ADDIE model. The data analysis technique used in this study is for the analysis stage using diagnostic assessment, while at the implementation stage using product validity data analysis by calculating the average score, data analysis to measure product practicality by calculating the average score and data analysis to measure the effectiveness of learning. The results showed that tailored mathematics instruction significantly improved students' conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills compared to traditional instruction methods. Students who received tailored instruction tended to be more active participants in learning, had higher motivation, and showed significant improvements in final test results. This suggests that a tailored instruction approach can be an effective strategy in accommodating the diversity of student abilities, helping achieve more optimal learning outcomes. The implications of this study provide a basis for education policy to further support teacher training in the application of differentiation in instruction, especially in subjects considered difficult, such as mathematics.
