Abstract

Rendahnya kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa kelas  SMPN 20 Pekanbaru menjadi salah satu masalah yang melatar belakangi penelitian ini. Penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk memperbaiki mutu proses pembelajaran guna meningkatkan kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa melalui pembelajaran Problem Based Learning. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 38 siswa di kelas  SMPN 20 Pekanbaru semester genap tahun ajaran 2022/2023.  Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus berbeda dengan setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Perangkat pembelajaran dan instrumen pengumpul data digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Perangkat pembelajaran terdiri dari silabus, RPP, dan LAS. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data terdiri dari lembar observasi dan lembar tes kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa. Data dari instrumen pengumpul data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis statistik deskriptif. Hasil analisis tes literasi numerasi menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata nilai kemampuan literasi numerasi siswa pada siklus I adalah 77,16, kemudian meningkat menjadi 88,97 pada siklus II.

Abstract

Mempelajari materi transformasi mengharuskan siswa berfikir abstrak. Namun berdasarkan fakta dilapangan, sebagian besar siswa masih kesulitan dalam memahami konsep dari materi transformasi, hal ini karenakan oleh lemahnya praktek pengajaran materi transformasi didalam kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbantuan Smart Apps Creator 3 pada materi transformasi untuk siswa kelas IX SMP/MTs yang valid dan praktis. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D), serta model pengembangan yang dipakai dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran ini adalah model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima tahapan yaitu analysis (analisis), design (desain), development (pengembangan), implementation (implementasi) dan evaluation (evaluasi). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar validasi media pembelajaran dan angket respon siswa. Setelah media pembelajaran dikembangkan, selanjutnya divalidasi oleh tiga orang validator dan direvisi sesuai saran dari validator. Diperoleh nilai rata-rata validasi sebesar 3,77 yang menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran dikategorikan sangat valid. Media pembelajaran yang telah valid kemudian dilakuan ujicoba dalam uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba kelompok besar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data angket respon siswa diperoleh presentase pada uji coba kelompok kecil 91,8% dan presentase pada uji coba kelompok besar 94,88% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwasanya media pembelajaran telah valid dan praktis untuk digunakan siswa kelas IX SMP/MTs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis (KKM) peserta didik SMP Kartika 1-5 Pekanbaru dengan menerapkan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK), yang melibatkan subjek sebanyak 18 peserta didik kelas VIII, SMP Kartika 1-5 Pekanbaru. Penelitian dilakukan sebanyak dua siklus. Siklus pertama dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan dan siklus kedua dilaksanakan dua kali pertemuan. Penelitian terdiri dari perangkat pembelajaran yang berisi Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran (ATP), Modul Ajar, serta instrumen pengumpul data yang berisi lembar pengamatan aktivitas guru dan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL dapat meningkatkan dan memperbaiki proses pembelajaran peserta didik SMP Kartika 1-5. Peningkatan KKM peserta didik dilihat dari hasil analisis KKM secara klasikal. Rerata nilai kemampuan awal KKM peserta didik sebelum tindakan (tes awal) adalah 33,67. Rerata nilai KKM peserta didik pada siklus pertama adalah 59,4. Rerata nilai KKM peserta didik pada siklus kedua adalah 86,6 Kesimpulan yang diambil adalah penerapan model PBL dapat meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan meningkatkan KKM peserta didik SMP Kartika 1-5 tahun pelajaran 2023/2024 pada konten statistika.Kata kunci, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, problem based learning, Penelitian Tidakan Kelas

Abstract

Mathematical problem solving ability is one of the mathematical abilities that students need to have. The purpose of this study is to analyze students' mathematical problem solving abilities in solving contextual problems on SPtLDV material through qualitative descriptive research. The data collection technique was carried out by testing mathematical problem solving abilities by giving two essay questions to the research subjects consisting of 4 male students and 25 female students of class X Medical Labor Engineering (TLM) 2 SMK Abdurrab Pekanbaru in the 2024/2025 academic year, who were identified as having difficulties in solving mathematical problems. Analysis of students' mathematical problem solving abilities was measured through indicators: understanding the problem, planning problem solving, implementing the problem solving plan, and interpreting the results obtained. The results of the analysis of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities show the number of students who successfully achieved the maximum score on questions number 1 and number 2 respectively as follows: indicators of understanding the problem were 79.31% and 75.86%, planning problem solving was 65.52% and 48.28%, implementing the problem solving plan was 51.72% and 24%, and interpreting the results obtained was 44.83% and 20.69%.

Abstract

Many students struggle to recognize sides and angles, especially when shapes are irregular. Since playing is a natural activity for children, it can be used as an effective learning strategy. This study aims to develop a game-based learning media to help elementary school students learn geometry. The media developed is called Tangram Sultan, a geometry game combined with folklore from the Siak Sultanate in Riau. This study presents the development of Tangram Sultan using the ADDIE development model. The Tangram Sultan game was tested at SD IT Alfityah Pekanbaru Riau. The Tangram Sultan game is used as a medium to develop students' understanding of the angles and sides of various shapes of two-dimensional figures with the following activity stages: (1) introduction of Tangram Sultan media, (2) use of media according to learning objectives, and (3) evaluation of learning process. These media have been successful in helping students to identify angles and sides and count the number of sides and angles found in various unusual two-dimentional figures. Results showed that the media successfully helped students identify and count sides and angles in irregular shapes. 66% of students correctly identified the number of sides, and 69% correctly identified the number of angles. The game also made the classroom environment more fun and engaging. This study opens up possibilities for teachers to use a combination of different games in local contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of the learning process and enhance students’ Mathematical Communication Skills (MCS) through the implementation of the Discovery Learning (DL) model in teaching the Pythagorean Theorem. The participants of this study consisted of 28 eighth-grade students (class VIII_6) from SMPN 3 Tambang. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) design was employed, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The instruments used in this study included the Learning Objectives Flow (LOF), teaching modules, observation sheets, and tests. Data were analyzed using both narrative descriptive analysis and descriptive statistics. The findings indicated that the application of the Discovery Learning model effectively enhanced the quality of the instructional process and significantly improved students’ Mathematical Communication Skills. This was evidenced by an increase in the average MCS score from 72.52 in the first cycle to 87.80 in the second cycle. In conclusion, the Discovery Learning model is proven to be effective in improving students' learning outcomes and developing their Mathematical Communication Skills in class VIII_6 at SMPN 3 Tambang during the first semester of the 2024/2025 academic year on the topic of the Pythagorean Theorem.

Abstract

Students' perceptions of learning influence the achievement of learning objectives. With the current online learning, students need to have good self-regulation to obtain excellent learning outcomes. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between perceptions of online learning and the self-regulation of Mathematics Education students during the COVID-19 pandemic. The subject of this research is 121 students in semesters 2, 4, and 6 of the Mathematics Education Program in One University in Indonesia. Students in that semester are students who have experienced both face-to-face lectures and online lectures. To collect data in the study, researchers use questionnaires. This study uses descriptive statistical and quantitative analysis techniques. The results showed that student perception of online learning was correlated to student self-regulation during the COVID-19 pandemic (r=0.545 or moderate correlation). It means when students have a good perception of online learning, their self-regulation tends to be good, vice versa. Thus, one way to improve student self-regulation is by increasing student perceptions of online learning.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan modul ajar berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang valid dan praktis untuk memfasilitasi KPMM siswa fase D pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi lembar validasi ahli dan angket respons siswa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui validasi oleh tiga orang validator serta uji coba terbatas kepada 12 siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 7 Tualang. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan skala Likert untuk menentukan tingkat kevalidan dan kepraktisan produk yang dikembangkan. Hasil Penelitian: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul ajar yang dikembangkan memperoleh rata-rata nilai validitas sebesar 93,43% dengan kategori sangat valid. Selain itu, hasil angket respons siswa pada uji coba kelompok kecil menunjukkan rata-rata nilai kepraktisan sebesar 88,65% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Kontribusi: Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, modul ajar berbasis PBL yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis, sehingga layak digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif perangkat pembelajaran untuk memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung.

Abstract

This study aimed to improve students’ mathematical problem-solving ability through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in mathematics instruction. The study employed a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The participants consisted of 41 students of Grade XI-2 at SMAN 19 Pekanbaru during the odd semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through classroom observation and mathematical problem-solving ability tests based on four indicators adapted from Polya’s problem-solving framework, namely understanding the problem, planning the solution, carrying out the solution, and checking back. Data analysis was conducted quantitatively and qualitatively to examine the progression of students’ mathematical problem-solving performance and classroom learning activities across cycles. The findings revealed that the implementation of PBL contributed positively to improving both the learning process and students’ mathematical problem-solving ability. The average class score increased from 33.90 in the initial test to 67.80 in Cycle I and further improved to 73.41 in Cycle II. Improvement was also observed across all problem-solving indicators, particularly in the planning and checking back indicators, indicating stronger strategic reasoning and reflective evaluation skills among students. In addition, students demonstrated increased participation, collaborative engagement, analytical discussion, and confidence in communicating mathematical ideas during learning activities. These findings suggest that Problem-Based Learning can create a more inquiry-oriented and cognitively engaging mathematics learning environment that supports the development of higher-order mathematical thinking and reflective problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Implementasi Deep Learning (DL) yang baru dicanangkan pada 2025 masih membutuhkan waktu karena kendala pemahaman prinsip serta ketidaksesuaian perangkat pembelajaran. Untuk mempercepat penerapannya, diperlukan pendampingan guru dalam penguatan pemahaman dan penyusunan perangkat. Di UPTD Dinas Pendidikan Kecamatan Minas, DL masih pada tahap sosialisasi dan belum optimal akibat keterbatasan kompetensi guru. Menanggapi hal tersebut, Tim PKM Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika bekerja sama dengan Dinas Pendidikan Kabupaten Siak menyelenggarakan workshop pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran bagi 26 guru dari 16 SD. Hasilnya menunjukkan kemampuan peserta berada pada kategori baik dan respon terhadap kegiatan sangat baik.
