Abstract

This research aims to describe innovative and creative learning media in the form of booklets using the Canva application in natural science learning about movement and force. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Rambah Hilir April-September 2024. This research used the Research and Development (R&D) development model with the ADDIE design, the stages involved included, (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, (4) Implementation and (5) evaluation. However, this research only reached the implementation stage, namely the product revision stage after small group trials. The research population and sample were all 22 class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Rambah Hilir, Rambah Hilir District. The research sampling technique used was total sampling. Data were collected using non-tests in the form of questionnaires and data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the research show that the development of a science booklet on motion and force as a whole is included in the "very feasible" category with an average percentage of 84.5%. Based on the validation of language experts with a percentage of 91.7%, it is included in the "very feasible" category, the validation of material experts with an average percentage of 69% is included in the "decent" category, and the validation of media experts with a percentage of 88.5% is included in the "very appropriate" category. . Meanwhile, for small group trials, the average percentage of 84.3% is included in the "very feasible" category, and field trials have an average percentage of 85.5%, which is included in the "very feasible" category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the Novick learning model using anyflip-based e-booklet media to students’ understanding of physics concepts. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Rambah Hilir in the even semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Year. This type of research is a quantitative research with an experimental research approach, with a one-grup pretest-posttest design. The sample in the research was students of class XI IPA 1 Academic Year 2022/2023, a total of 35 students using of purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were validation sheets and multiple choice question tests. Data analysis was carried out using the learning completeness test. Classical un and gain test. Based on the calculation of the pretest classical learning completeness is 0% while for the posttest completeness is 91.42% and the average gain value is 0.75 with high criteria. This shows that by applying the Novick learning model assisted by Anyflip-based e-booklet can improve learning outcomes students in the form of understanding the concept in class XI IPA 1 SMA Negeri 3 Rambah Hilir on the material of optical instruments.

Abstract

A resistivity geoelectric research has been carried out to identify the suspected seepage of garbage pollutants around the Tanjung Belit village garbage dump. The study was conducted in 2 tracks. On track 1 with a track length of 100 m and 35 measurement points, the resistivity is in the range of 0.795-50.1 Ωm. On the 2nd track, 75 m long and 32 measuring points. The method used is the geoelectric resistivity method of the Wenner configuration with data processing using the res2dinv application which has a large resistivity ranging from 1.22-44.9 Ωm. Based on this resistivity, it can be seen that there is waste pollutant seepage located at a depth of 0.825–7.41 m. Keywords:Wenner, geolistric method, RES2DINV

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pandemi Covid-19 memberikan dampak yang besar bagi sektor pendidikan di Indonesia. Tidak ada lagi pembelajaran di dalam kelas maupun perkumpulan pengembangan ekstrakurikuler di seluruh instansi pendidikan. Sehingga pemerintah, tenaga pendidik, guru, siswa dan orang tua berusaha untuk beradaptasi dengan keadaan saat ini yang mengalami banyak perubahan. Banyak permasalahan dan persoalan yang dihadapi oleh seluruh komponen Pendidikan dalam menyelenggarakan keberlanjutan pembelajaran sebagaimana mestinya. MI Darussalam Pasir Pengaraian merupakan salah satu sekolah yang berdampak covid-19, dimana pihak sekolah jg mengikuti anjuran dari pemerintah untuk melaksanakan sekolah secara daring. Namun saat ini, MI Darusalam telah melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran secara tatap muka langsung. Permasalah mulai timbul disaat pembelajaran tatap muka dilakukan, sesuai dengan hasil wawancara dengan salah seorang guru yang mengajr di kelas 2, mendapati bahwa kebanyakan siswa kelas 2 masih belum dapat membaca dan menulis secara benar dikarenakan semasa mereka berada dikelas 1 pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring. Timbulnya permasalahan akan kemampuan belajar siswa yang telah lama belajar secara daring menjadi cambuk tersendiri bagi guru, guru dituntut harus memberikan pembelajaran secara lebih mendalam dan bermakna. Tim PKM Universitas Pasir Pengaraian melaksanakan kegiatan PKM Pemantapan Kemampuan Mengajar Guru Pasca Pandemi Covid-19 di MI Darusaalam Pasir Pengaraian. Kegiatan ini berhasil dilakukan dengan meningkatnya kemampuan dan semakin mantapnya kemampuan mengajar guru. Kata Kunci : Pemantapan, Kemampuan Mengajar; Pasca Covid-19

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes in physics learning are due to the lack ofunderstanding that students have in learning which causes students to become passive. This research aims to determine the effect of the Discovery Learning (DL) learning using kahoot application to the physics learning outcomes of class X SMA Negeri 1 Kepenuhan Hulu students. This research uses quantitative methods with a type of pre-experimental research, namely one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Kepenuhan Hulu. Determining the sample using the Purposive Sampling technique, the sample was obtained from class X1 students consisting of 20 students. The instrument used is a multiple choice test. Based on the research results, the average pretest score was 44.52, which was lower than the average posttest score of 86.42.To see the increase in learning outcomes, it can be seen based on the N-Gain calculation, which is obtained at 0.75 in the high category. So it can be concluded that there is an influence in improving student learning outcomes using the Discovery Learning learning using kahoot application to the physics learning in renewable energy.

Abstract

Keterbatasan fasilitas laboratorium dan minimnya pengalaman praktikum menyebabkan rendahnya pemahaman konsep optika  siswa di SMP Negeri 02 Kepenuhan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakan KIT Optik, memperkuat pemahaman konsep optika, serta menumbuhkan keterampilan praktikum melalui bimbingan dan eksperimen terstruktur. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi yang mencakup observasi, demonstrasi alat, kegiatan praktikum dalam kelompok kecil, serta pengukuran peningkatan kemampuan melalui pre-test dan post-test. Dalam kegiatan praktikum, siswa melakukan pengaturan posisi lensa, cermin, dan sumber cahaya untuk mengamati proses pembentukan bayangan, perubahan jarak fokus, serta perbesaran bayangan secara langsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman konsep optika, ditunjukkan oleh kenaikan skor rata-rata dari 48 menjadi 78. Selain itu, lebih dari 90% siswa mampu mengoperasikan KIT Optik secara mandiri. Temuan ini sejalan dengan penelitian terdahulu yang menegaskan efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis eksperimen dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif dan motivasi belajar. Meskipun demikian, kegiatan ini masih menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan jumlah alat dan waktu praktikum. Secara keseluruhan, penggunaan KIT Optik terbukti efektif sebagai sarana pembelajaran yang mampu meningkatkan kualitas pengalaman praktikum dan literasi sains siswa, dengan peluang pengembangan lebih lanjut melalui pengadaan  KIT Optik tambahan guna meningkatkan intensitas praktikum serta pengembangan modul praktikum optika berkelanjutan yang terintegrasi dengan kurikulum pembelajaran IPA di SMP.

Abstract

Pembelajaran fisika di sekolah mitra masih menghadapi berbagai permasalahan, terutama keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang mendukung kegiatan praktikum serta belum optimalnya pemanfaatan potensi lingkungan dan kearifan lokal sebagai sumber belajar. Kondisi ini menyebabkan pembelajaran fisika cenderung bersifat teoritis, kurang kontekstual, dan berdampak pada rendahnya keterlibatan serta pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep fisika. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi guru dan siswa dalam mengembangkan dan memanfaatkan alat peraga fisika berbahan daur ulang yang terintegrasi dengan kearifan lokal Rokan Hulu. Permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran fisika di sekolah mitra adalah kurangnya ketersediaan alat peraga yang relevan dan rendahnya keterlibatan siswa dalam kegiatan praktikum. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan, workshop, dan praktik langsung pembuatan alat peraga fisika sederhana yang mengangkat nilai-nilai lokal, seperti penggunaan bahan bekas dari lingkungan sekitar dan pengenalan budaya lokal dalam konteks sains. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa yang ditandai dengan meningkatnya partisipasi aktif dalam praktikum, serta meningkatnya kemampuan guru dalam merancang dan memanfaatkan alat peraga fisika kontekstual berbahan daur ulang. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga menumbuhkan kesadaran guru dan siswa terhadap pemanfaatan limbah sebagai media pembelajaran yang bernilai edukatif dan ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan pendampingan ini diharapkan menjadi model pembelajaran yang inspiratif, kontekstual, dan berkelanjutan di daerah lain yang memiliki potensi lokal serupa.

Abstract

While Artisanal and Small-Scale Gold Mining (ASGM) severely contaminates watersheds with mercury (Hg), existing studies primarily diagnose pollution levels without identifying the underlying transport mechanisms or actionable engineering solutions. Addressing this gap, this study analyzes Hg concentrations, identifies physical transport vectors, and proposes a data-driven mitigation framework for the Kuantan River, Indonesia. A targeted spatial sampling (n=10) was conducted during the dry season (June 2025), with water samples analyzed using Cold Vapour Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (CVAAS). Results revealed gross contamination, with 100% of samples exceeding the World Health Organization (WHO) limit of 0.001 mg/L (ranging from 0.0027 to 0.0081 mg/L). The Heavy Metal Toxicity Load (HMTL) indicated critical toxicological risks (3.94–11.81). Crucially, Principal Component Analysis (PCA) identified Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) as the dominant spatial transport vector, demonstrating that Hg is predominantly particulate-bound rather than dissolved. To mitigate this, a hierarchical engineering framework is proposed, featuring source control (mercury-capturing retorts), pathway interruption (sedimentation basins to trap TDS), and receptor protection (point-of-use filtration). Although limited by a small sample size, this study extends foundational environmental engineering knowledge by linking statistical transport diagnostics to structural interventions, offering a replicable policy and watershed management blueprint for ASGM-impacted regions globally.
