Abstract

This study aims to: (1) describe the physics learning difficulties of students of class VIII in the Junior High School 1 Pomalaa.; and (2) describing any factors that cause learning difficulties Physics learners in class VIII Junior High School 1 Pomala. Subjects in this study were all learners VIIIA class and VIIID Junior High School 1 Pomalaa the second semester with the topic learning in motion and force. The research instrument consisted of multi-representation ability tests and interviews and then analyzed descriptively using a quantitative approach. Data analysis results obtained:  The ability of multi-representation of students in the topic of motion and force is still relatively low with an achievement percentage of 71.86%. Learners are in a low category had a pattern of learning difficulties in understanding about the language, understand the basic concepts, analyze the image, determine the y-axis and the axis s, define symbols, set the equation and the difficulty in calculating. Learners medium category with a percentage of 27.35% achievement patterns of learning difficulties in understanding the basic concepts, force projection, determine the y-axis and s, erroneously define symbols, and erred in the calculation. Learners higher category has a pattern of learning difficulties in analyzing the image and determines the y-axis and the axis s on the graphical representation.

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep fisika yang rendah pada siswa sekolah menengah selalu menjadi momok di dunia pendidikan. Hal ini terjadi karena masih banyak siswa yang merasa takut dengan perhitungan matematis yang selalu ada dalam mempelajari fisika, kurangnya pemahaman siswa akan pentingnya ilmu fisika bagi kehidupan, dan minimnya pelaksanaan eksperimen/praktikum yang mendukung pembelajaran fisika. Guna mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dikemas dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan pelatihan pada siswa di MAN 1 Kendari. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa mengenai konsep fisika. Metode yang dilaksanakan adalah: (1) survei untuk menentukan permasalahan utama mitra dan solusi pemecahannya, (2) pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan peran ilmu fisika dalam kehidupan dan pelatihan pengenalan laboratorium virtual fisika PhET untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep fisika pada siswa, dan (3) evaluasi pelaksanaan kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pemahaman konsep fisika siswa sebesar 70%, peningkatan motivasi belajar 67%, ketertarikan pada materi pelatihan 93%, serta tingkat keaktifan/partisipasi peserta 97%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pengabdian yang dikemas dalam bentuk penyuluhan dan pelatihan memiliki dampak positif bagi siswa.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The limited ability of students to use the Indonesian language appropriately reflects a mismatch between the expected language competencies and classroom learning practices. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of developing Indonesian language teaching materials based on a thematic approach for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Satu Atap Tabona, Pulau Taliabu Regency. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method, which included needs analysis, product design, expert validation, and limited field testing with students. The research subjects consisted of expert validators and eighth-grade students, while data were collected through learning achievement tests, response questionnaires, and classroom observations. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ understanding of the proper use of the Indonesian language, as reflected in the shift of learning outcomes from a low category prior to the implementation of the teaching materials to a high category afterward. These findings confirm that thematic-based Indonesian language teaching materials are not only feasible but also effective in improving the quality of language learning and in linking linguistic content with students’ learning experiences in a more contextual and meaningful manner. ABSTRAK Keterbatasan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menggunakan Bahasa Indonesia secara tepat mencerminkan adanya ketidaksesuaian antara tuntutan kompetensi berbahasa dan praktik pembelajaran yang berlangsung di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pengembangan bahan ajar Bahasa Indonesia berbasis pendekatan tematik pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Satu Atap Tabona, Kabupaten Pulau Taliabu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) yang mencakup tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan produk, validasi oleh ahli, serta uji coba terbatas kepada peserta didik. Subjek penelitian melibatkan validator dan siswa kelas VIII, dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa tes hasil belajar, angket respon, dan observasi proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman siswa terhadap penggunaan Bahasa Indonesia sesuai kaidah, ditandai dengan pergeseran capaian belajar dari kategori rendah sebelum penggunaan bahan ajar menjadi kategori tinggi setelah implementasi. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa bahan ajar Bahasa Indonesia berbasis pendekatan tematik tidak hanya layak digunakan, tetapi juga efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, serta mampu mengaitkan materi kebahasaan dengan pengalaman belajar siswa secara lebih kontekstual dan bermakna.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The novel Biola Tak Berdawai by Sekar Ayu Asmara raises humanitarian issues related to child abandonment and the dehumanization of persons with disabilities through the symbolization of the main character. This study aims to analyze the symbolic meanings attached to the character Dewa and to interpret the author’s message through a semiotic approach. The research uses a qualitative method with Charles Sanders Peirce’s semiotic analysis (icon, index, and symbol) of the novel text through the stages of identification, classification, and interpretation of denotative and connotative meanings. The results show that the character Dewa is constructed through five main symbols, namely Sukasrana, the metamorphosis of caterpillar–chrysalis–butterfly, the shell, the doll, and the violin without strings as the central symbol. The dominance of the symbolic category of signs indicates the strong use of cultural conventions and metaphors in the construction of meaning. These symbols reveal social criticism of the marginalization of persons with disabilities while conveying humanistic-spiritual messages about the value of life, the potential for transformation, and the recognition of human dignity. The conclusion of the study confirms that the symbolization of the main character becomes an effective medium for linking fictional reality with actual social issues and for reflecting on the meaning of life within limitations. ABSTRAK Novel Biola Tak Berdawai karya Sekar Ayu Asmara mengangkat persoalan kemanusiaan yang berkaitan dengan pembuangan anak dan dehumanisasi penyandang disabilitas melalui simbolisasi tokoh utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna simbolik yang melekat pada tokoh Dewa serta menafsirkan pesan pengarang melalui pendekatan semiotik. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan analisis semiotik Charles Sanders Peirce (ikon, indeks, dan simbol) terhadap teks novel melalui tahapan identifikasi, klasifikasi, dan interpretasi makna denotatif serta konotatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tokoh Dewa dibangun melalui lima simbol utama, yaitu Sukasrana, metamorfosis ulat–kepompong–kupu, kerang, boneka, dan biola tanpa dawai sebagai simbol sentral. Dominasi kategori tanda simbol menunjukkan kuatnya penggunaan konvensi budaya dan metafora dalam konstruksi makna. Simbol-simbol tersebut mengungkap kritik sosial terhadap marginalisasi penyandang disabilitas sekaligus menyampaikan pesan humanistik-spiritual tentang nilai hidup, potensi transformasi, dan pengakuan atas martabat manusia. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa simbolisasi tokoh utama menjadi medium efektif untuk mengaitkan realitas fiksi dengan isu sosial aktual serta merefleksikan makna hidup dalam keterbatasan.

Abstract

The development of digital technology presents both challenges and opportunities in the dissemination of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) values. This study aims to analyze the application of digital technology and to formulate an optimization model for disseminating AIK values that aligns with the characteristics of digital society. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation from institutions actively utilizing digital platforms. The findings indicate that effective dissemination of AIK values is achieved through an integrated multi-platform digital ecosystem rather than reliance on a single medium. Social media functions to expand outreach, application-based platforms facilitate personalized interaction, and long-form video channels support in-depth learning. The effectiveness of this strategy is strengthened by a hybrid team model that integrates religious expertise and digital literacy in content management and audience engagement. The study concludes that optimizing the dissemination of AIK values requires the integration of technology, layered content strategies, collaborative human resources, and interactive community-based approaches. These findings contribute a conceptual framework that may serve as a reference for educational and religious institutions in developing sustainable digital-based religious value dissemination. Perkembangan teknologi digital menghadirkan tantangan sekaligus peluang dalam diseminasi nilai-nilai Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan teknologi digital serta merumuskan model optimalisasi diseminasi nilai AIK yang sesuai dengan karakteristik masyarakat digital. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif studi kasus dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipan, dan studi dokumentasi pada institusi yang aktif memanfaatkan platform digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diseminasi nilai AIK yang optimal dicapai melalui ekosistem digital multi-platform yang terintegrasi, bukan melalui satu media tunggal. Media sosial berperan dalam memperluas jangkauan, platform aplikasi mendukung interaksi personal, dan kanal video berdurasi panjang berfungsi untuk pendalaman materi. Keberhasilan strategi ini diperkuat oleh model tim hibrida yang mengombinasikan kompetensi keagamaan dan literasi digital dalam pengelolaan konten dan interaksi audiens. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa optimalisasi diseminasi nilai AIK memerlukan integrasi teknologi, strategi konten berlapis, kolaborasi sumber daya manusia, serta pendekatan komunitas yang interaktif. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual berupa kerangka strategis yang dapat dijadikan acuan bagi institusi pendidikan dan dakwah dalam mengembangkan diseminasi nilai keagamaan berbasis digital secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

The low reading interest of junior high school students in remote areas is a serious problem exacerbated by limited infrastructure and access to books, especially in one-roof schools such as SMP Negeri 3 Satu Atap Tabona. This study aims to identify the literacy solutions implemented and the internal and external challenges faced. Using a qualitative case study design approach, the population included the entire school community with purposive and snowball sampling until data saturation from 7 key informants (principal, teachers, students, librarian). The instruments consisted of semi-structured interview guides, participant observation, and document analysis, analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model and thematic analysis. The results showed that the 15-minute reading program and library visits were ineffective, while review competitions and assignment integration received the highest positive response (83%). The main challenges include outdated book collections, minimal infrastructure, gadget distractions, low family support, and geographic isolation. The study concluded the need for a holistic, contextual strategy that transforms a quantitative approach into a meaningful reading experience through competitive activities and community partnerships.
