Abstract

Abstract

The national examination was replaced with a national assessment because it was only focused on memorizing skills and assessed only the cognitive aspect. There is a need for research on how teachers perceive the minimum competency assessment, especially literacy competence that this research was conducted. As a result, this study is keen to gauge how junior high school students perceive English teachers in general. There are 3 components called the CAC model (cognitive-affective-conative) that influences a person's behavior so that it is also related to one's perception. The data processing technique in this study consisted of 3 stages, namely editing, coding and tabulating. The first stage was carried out to check the data obtained from the answers to the questionnaires that have been collected. Then, coding stage was carried out to code the respondents' answers in the form of giving numbers or other signs. Lastly, tabulation stage was carried out by compiling and calculating the coding results by giving a score and then presenting it in tabular form. The findings showed the perception of the English teachers about literacy assessment based on a minimum competency assessment in terms of cognitive aspects was fairly good, on the affective aspects was fairly good while on the conative aspects was good. Accordingly, researches on minimum competency assessment needs to be examined further that afford teachers’ comprehension in implementing minimum competency assessment. Abstract

Abstract

Background: Compong Village is a village located in Pitu Riase Subdistrict, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, South Sulawesi. It is situated in a mountainous and hilly region with a significant amount of marginal land. This community service program aims to empower the residents of Compong Village through the introduction of permaculture on marginal land, specifically home gardens, targeting 28 members of the Melati Women Farmers Group (KWT) in Compong Village. The village has a high prevalence of stunting despite its substantial natural resource potential. Method: The implementation method involved intensive outreach and mentoring over three months (August-December 2024), consisting of several stages: situational and partner condition analysis, socialization, activity implementation, monitoring, evaluation, impact assessment, and expansion. Result: The Women Farmers Group successfully transformed barren and dry land into productive areas that not only met daily nutritional needs with nutritious food but also contributed to the family economy. Based on pre-test and post-test results from two key training and mentoring activities—focused on nutrition and stunting knowledge as well as organic permaculture outreach—the average knowledge of KWT members increased by more than 80%. Furthermore, they began generating sustainable income from permaculture food products cultivated through the program. Conclusion: It is hoped that in the future the permaculture garden (ProSegi) managed by the management of KWT Melati Dusun III can continue to be sustainable and empower the local community both socially, economically and in the community

Abstract

Blood clams cultured in Sukal Village West Bangka Regency sell in the market around Bangka Belitung Island Province. These blood clams often sell without sanitary and hygiene control treatment during cultivation or post-harvest. For that reason, the clams have the potential for pathogenic bacterial contamination that can harm the consumer's health. The study aimed to analyze the initial content of total bacteria (total plate count) in blood clam sample collected from Sukal Village and analyze the content of total bacteria (TPC) after depuration treatment for 24 hours and 48 hours. The depuration experiment followed the recirculating system for 24 hours and 48 hours. The UV light used to irradiate the natural saline water and chitosan from shrimp shell used as a filter and antibacterial agent. The temperature and salinity were constant at 29 o C and 30 o/oo. Total plate count (TPC) method used in this research according to SNI 01-2332.3-2006, while ISO 4833-1: 2013; PerKa BPOM No. 16 used as the quality standard of total bacteria content in blood clam. The result found that the blood clams collected from the first station contained total bacteria exceeded the established quality standards. Independent T-test showed that there was no significant difference between the reduction in the TPC content of blood clam samples with a depuration time of 24 hours and a time of 48 hours.

Abstract

Comics are one instance of visual media that can be used as learning media. Comics engage students to be more interested, motivated, and entertained so that they can help teachers deliver learning materials. The comics developed in this study contain material about the biodiversity that exists in West Kalimantan, especially endemic flora and fauna, considering that West Kalimantan has various potential for diversity. This study aims to determine the feasibility of comics based on the local potential of West Kalimantan on biodiversity material as a learning medium for class X MAN 2 Pontianak and to determine student responses to the developed learning media. The form of this research is descriptive with a survey research method. The sample in this study was class X MIA 4 MAN 2 Pontianak which was selected through a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used were comic media validation sheets and student response questionnaires. Based on the results of the validation data analysis, the calculation of the CVR and CVI values against the 11 assessment indicators, it was found that the comic media developed was categorized as valid with the CVR and CVI values by 1. The results of student responses to the developed comic media, for 3 aspects including cognitive, affective, and conative is 76.18% with a high category. Cognitive responses of 77.6%, affective responses of 78.3%, and conative responses of 72.66% with a high category, respectively. Therefore, comic media based on local potential of flora and fauna endemic to West Kalimantan is feasible to be used as a learning medium in class X in MAN 2 Pontianak, and student responses to the developed media are categorized as strong responses.
