Abstract

This research discusses the importance of implementing humanist parenting patterns and guided inquiry learning models in improving cadet learning outcomes at the Makassar Aviation Polytechnic. A humanist parenting style creates an academic environment that is conducive, democratic, and respects individual uniqueness, to form a professional, ethical, and environmentally conscious character. The guided inquiry model encourages cadets' active and creative participation in the learning process. This method emphasizes independent problem-solving through the scientific process, including problem formulation, hypotheses, analysis, and conclusions. In its application, the teacher provides initial guidance that is gradually reduced so that the cadets are able to carry out independent inquiry. This research aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry model on cadets' ability to apply digital engineering concepts. The research results show that the guided inquiry model has a significant impact and is more effective than conventional methods. Cadets who use this model demonstrate increased understanding, skills, and active involvement in the learning process. In addition, research finds that creativity does not have a significant effect on learning outcomes, and learning outcomes are determined more by the application of the guided inquiry model. It is hoped that this research can contribute to improving the quality of vocational education in the aviation sector and become a reference for the development of similar research in the future.

Abstract

On Time Performance (OTP) merupakan ukuran kinerja dalam memberikan layanan secara tepat waktu. Dalam penerbangan, OTP merupakan hal terpenting yang sangat mempengaruhi kualitas layanan transportasi. Namun informasi ini jarang disampaikan secara real time kepada calon penumpang sehingga manfaat informasi tersebut kurang maksimal bagi para pengguna jasa transportasi udara. Penelitian ini bertujuan membuat desain sistem informasi OTP dengan studi kasus Bandar Udara Internasional Juanda sebagai bandar udara tersibuk ketiga di Indonesia. Desain sistem informasi OTP dibuat dalam bentuk purwarupa website sehingga dapat diakses secara mudah, up to date, lebih detail, dan real time. Dalam perancangan dan pembangunan sistem informasi OTP ini, penulis menggunakan metodeprototype. Alur proses dari metode ini yaitu analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, pengujian sistem, launching sistem, dan evaluasi sistem. Data OTP penerbangan diambil dari PT Angkasa Pura 1 Bandar Udara Juanda Surabaya untuk diolah dan ditampilkan di sistem OTP. Pada evaluasi sistem, dilakukan penilaian kinerja purwarupa sistem informasi OTP ini dengan kerangka kerja PIECES. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa desain sistem informasi OTP sudah cukup baik. Di masa depan, sistem OTP ini dapat diaplikasikan dalam skala yang lebih luas untuk memberikan informasi yang lebih bermanfaat bagi pengguna jasa penerbangan.

Abstract

According to Merrill, there are two dimensions of learning objectives: content and performance. For learning to achieve its goals, suitable media is needed. Moreover, the Covid-19 pandemic situation since 2019 requires learning to be distanced. Teachers and students must work together to achieve learning objectives. Several media can support learning, including text formats, audio/video tutorials, interactive multimedia, and simulator software. Especially for Aviation Vocational education which has a learning level guide at CASR 147, further analysis is needed on how these media can effectively achieve learning objectives. So, this study aims to analyze the effectiveness of media in distance learning based on Merrill's Taxonomy and CASR 147. Quantitative research methods are used with data from questionnaires and several interviews for data triangulation needs. Based on its effectiveness, the following are suggestions of learning media that can be used: audio/video tutorials, simulators, interactive multimedia, and text formats. Furthermore, it is necessary to conduct research that discusses media preferences based on students' learning styles to know the reasons for the results of media selection by students through questionnaires.
