Abstract

Maintaining body immunity throughout the COVID-19 pandemic is one of the efforts to protect the body in opposition to disease. Adequate physical exercise is very necessary to prevent the body from attacking disease. This literature review objectives to determine the advantages of physical exercise to expand body immunity for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a literature review. Literature searches were collected using online database such as Science Direct, Springer Link, Wiley online Library, SAGE publication, NCBI and Google Scholar so that 12 articles were used in this literature review that published from 2019-2021. These articles are then analyzed by narrative literature review. Studies exhibit that moderate physical exercise can enhance body immunity and respiratory function. Moderate types of physical exercise such as aerobics can increasing the immunity by using the increasing the degree and function of T-lymphocytes, immunoglobulins, mainly Ig A and Ig G, regulating C-reactive protein levels to prevent limit lung feature and extend the vital capacity of the lungs. Regular physical workout of moderate intensity has been proven to extensively affect the immune system and reduce the threat of infection disease.

Abstract

Pandemik Covid 19 menyebabkan anak usia sekolah mengikuti pembelajaran secara online di rumah. Pembelajaran online meningkatkan durasi anak duduk di depan layar handphone atau laptop. Kondisi ini menyebabkan anak menjadi jaran bergerak sehingga durasi latihan fisik berkurang selama di rumah. Latihan fisik yang tidak teratur dapat menjadi salah satu faktor peningkatan berat badan anak. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan sebagai bentuk promosi kesehatan latihan fisik dalam asuhan kelompok anak usia sekolah dengan gizi lebih dan obesitas dalam masa pandemi Covid 19. Sejumlah 31 anak sekolah dasar di Kelurahan Limo, Kota Depok mengikuti kegiatan promosi kesehatan secara daring dan luring sebanyak 8 sesi selama bulan Maret-Juni 2021. Hasil akhir kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai mean pengetahuan dari 5,71 menjadi 8,26 dan keterampilan latihan fisik dari 5,29 ke 7,45 setelah promosi kesehatan. Pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilakukan dapat menjadi rekomendasi untuk perawat komunitas untuk bekerja sama dengan pihak sekolah dalam mengembangkan program latihan fisik di rumah  kesehatan  pada anak usia sekolah dalam masa pandemi.

Abstract

Reproductive health and sexual behavior often occur in adolescents and caused by various factors, such as health information and lack of communication with parents. Peer counselors as a place that provides space for adolescents to obtain health information and share problems faced by adolescents, are expected be the right solution in dealing with reproductive health problems and sexual. Community service through peer counselor training activities aims to increase knowledge and ability adolescents to exchange health information, because adolescents tend be more open with adolescents themselves. Training activity was held at SMPN Depok City, with 17 students involved as participants. Form of training in material presentation, formation peer cadres, and post-training observations. Evaluation in form of Pre-test and Post-test, as well as observation of cadre team to evaluate activities of peer cadres. Results of training showed an increase knowledge of cadres with an average Pre-Post test result of 52% to 84.8%. Evaluation of cadre activities found that 6 cadre teams had conducted health education in their respective classrooms. Development peer cadres by public health nurses needs to increased by active involvement teachers to be independent in fostering students at school, as well as involvement parents of students to support activities peer counselors. ABSTRAK Masalah kesehatan reproduksi dan perilaku seksual sering terjadi pada remaja dan disebabkan berbagai faktor, seperti informasi kesehatan serta komunikasi yang kurang dengan orangtua. Konselor sebaya sebagai tempat yang memberikan ruang kepada remaja untuk mendapatkan informasi kesehatan serta mencurahkan berbagai masalah yang dihadapi remaja, diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi tepat dalam penangangan masalah kesehatan reproduksi dan perilaku seksual. Pengabdian masyarakat melalui kegiatan pelatihan konselor sebaya bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan remaja untuk saling bertukar informasi kesehatan bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan remaja untuk saling bertukar informasi kesehatan, karena remaja cenderung lebih mudah terbuka dengan kalangan remaja sendiri. Kegiatan pelatihan diadakan di SMPN Kota Depok, dengan 17 siswa terlibat menjadi peserta. Bentuk pelatihan berupa pemaparan materi, pembentukan kader sebaya, serta observasi pasca pelatihan. Bentuk evaluasi berupa pretest dan posttest, serta observasi tim kader untuk evaluasi kegiatan dari kader sebaya. Hasil pretest dan posttest didapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan kader dengan hasil rata-rata pretest 52% menjadi 84.8% pada posttest. Evaluasi kegiatan kader diperoleh 6 tim kader telah melakukan edukasi kesehatan pada lingkup kelas masing-masing. Pembinaan kader sebaya oleh perawat kesehatan masyarakat perlu ditingkatkan dengan pelibatan aktif guru agar mandiri dalam membina siswa di sekolah, serta pelibatan orangtua siswa untuk mensupport kegiatan konselor sebaya.

Abstract

Hipertensi merupakan penyakit tidak menular yang paling banyak dialami oleh lansia di Indonesia. Hal ini didukung dengan fenomena bahwa masih banyak lansia hipertensi yang tekanan darahnya belum terkontrol walaupun sudah minum obat antihipertensi.Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan manajemen diri dan juga mengontrol tekanan darah lansia hipertensi. Mitra pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah UPT Puskesmas Kecamatan Sukmajaya dan Kelurahan Mekarjaya, Kota Depok. Metode pengabdian masyarakat dalam program “Langkah Mandiri” (Lansia Gesit, Kuat, Aktif dan Harmoni dalam Manajemen Diri Hipertensi), berupa edukasi dengan pendekatan stimulation game, relaksasi otot progresif, pijat kaki dengan minyak pijat lavender dan musik relaksasi, imajinasi terbimbing dan latihan fisik orhiba. Beberapa intervensi ini kemudian dikemas ke dalam program berbasis web “SI-Langkah Mandiri” dengan harapan terjaga sustainibilitasnya. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada skor tingkat pengetahuan hipertensi dan manajemen diri hipertensi. Selain itu, terjadi penurunan yang signifikan pada rerata nilai tekanan darah sistolik dan tekanan darah diastolik. Program inovasi keperawatan sebagai pendamping obat antihipertensi yang didukung dengan pendekatan teknologi mampu mengoptimalkan perawatan diri lansia dengan penyakit kronis, khususnya hipertensi.

Abstract

Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the adolescent are currently still happened. There needs to be motivation from teenagers to carry out 3M behavior to prevent the transmission of COVID-19, especially in the adolescent. This study aimed to identify factors related to adolescent motivation in carrying out 3M behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was conducted with a cross-sectional design of 427 adolescents in Palembang. The school sample was obtained using a random method, and respondents' determination was carried out purposively according to research inclusion criteria. Multiple linear regression analysis results showed that age, gender, education level, autonomy, policies, nurse support, and family support influenced adolescent motivation in carrying out 3M behavior during the pandemic (p = 0.000; 1 = 0.417; R2 = 0.651). The family support factor is the most influencing factor for adolescent motivation in carrying out 3M behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic (p = 0.000, 1 = 0.360) after being controlled by other variables (age, gender, education level, autonomy, policies, and nurse support). Knew the dominant factors is family suppot could increase health promotion program in an adolescent during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Introduction: Graduates of higher education are expected to be able to answer the challenges and needs of the business world and the development of social life. The OBE (Outcome Based Education) curriculum is a learning approach that focuses on student competencies and is based on outcomes. The OBE curriculum is expected to be applied in the curriculum of higher nursing education in Indonesia to answer these challenges. This study aims to describe the perceptions and readiness of nursing higher education institutions in implementing that  curriculum.    Methods: The Research uses a descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. Research is conducted in the nursing higher education institutions of AIPNI (Asosiasi Institusi Pendidikan Ners Indonesia/The Association Of Indonesian Nurses Education)  members spread over 13 regionals of Indonesia from May- September 2022. The research sample is 108 institutions through the purposive sampling technique. Inclusion criteria are institutions registered as active members of AIPNI. The variables of this research are perception and readiness of institution education in implementing the OBE curriculum. The research instrument uses a perception and readiness questionnaire of OBE with a reliability score = 0.919. Data analysis uses descriptive frequency. This research had passed the ethical review from the Research Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Nursing, University of Indonesia Number: KET-190/UN2.F12.D1.2.1/PPM.00.02/2022.  Results : The results showed that the Head of  Nursing Profession Program was 41.05 years old, the SD was 7,844 and 80 (74.1%) had master’s degree. Half of the heads of the nursing professional education study program have a poor perception of the implementation of the results-based curriculum as many as 58 people (51.9%) and have poor readiness about the implementation of the results-based curriculum as many as 54 people (50%).Conclusions : The Heads of Nursing Profession Program have a poor perception and readiness in implementing the OBE curriculum. The results of this research become the basic data in determining policies for the OBE curriculum implementation, especially at the level of nursing profession program. Socialization and guidance from association of educational institution is needed, that nursing higher education institutions have similar perception and readiness in implementing the OBE curriculum.

Abstract

The prevalence of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) among adolescents is on the rise due to a lack of comprehensive knowledge, leading to suboptimal attitudes and behaviors, which emphasizes the critical need for targeted interventions. The aim of this review study was to evaluate the effectiveness of educational interventions for HIV prevention among adolescents by assessing their impact on knowledge, attitude, and behavior. A systematic review of seven databases: PubMed, Science Direct, Cochrane, JSTOR, Embase, Scopus, and EBSCO were identified, and 14 eligible randomized controlled trials published until June 2023 were included. Two independent authors assessed quality appraisal using the Risk of Bias 2.0. Outcomes were measured using the standard mean difference (SMD) with random effects model and a 95% confidence interval. Subgroup analyses and meta-regression were performed to explore heterogeneity. The results showed significant improvements in participants' knowledge (SMD: 1.13, 95%CI: 0.78–1.49), behavior intentions (SMD: 1.22, 95%CI: 0.37–2.07), and attitude (SMD: 0.48, 95%CI: 0.02–0.95) after receiving HIV prevention education programs. Interventions grounded in theoretical principles and incorporating technology, group settings, and audio-visual aids were found to be effective in enhancing knowledge of HIV prevention and promoting behavioral intentions. Peer-led education positively impacted both knowledge and attitude. Moreover, excluding parents from these programs was identified as a crucial factor in improving adolescents' knowledge of HIV prevention. In conclusion, educational programs focused on HIV effectively enhance adolescents' knowledge, attitudes, and behavioral intentions among adolescents. Professionals planning interventions should consider these impactful components in designing comprehensive strategies.

Abstract

Adolescents are developing self-maturity, so they should have the correct views to become a person with a positive self-concept. Therefore, this period requires the role of parents. The parental roles include educating, teaching, disciplining, and protecting children to reach adulthood according to social norms. However, adolescents prefer to spend time with their peers, so peers are dominant in influential and modeling aspects of adolescents' sexual behavior with their partners. One of the behaviors compulsorily concerned is human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) prevention behavior. This study aimed to determine the relationship between characteristics, communication quality, parenting, peer roles, and HIV/AIDS prevention behavior in adolescents at “Y” Senior High School in North Jakarta. This study employed a cross-sectional research design. Samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique, and 208 students were obtained from 432 students. Gender, parental communication quality, and peer roles affected HIV/AIDS prevention behavior. The dominant variable was parental communication quality (OR=0.509). After controlling for gender and peer role characteristics, adolescents with strong parental communication quality were 0.51 times more likely to participate in HIV/AIDS-positive preventive activities than those with poor parental communication quality. Adolescents are expected to communicate with their parents, especially about sexual issues, more openly.

Abstract

Remaja merupakan aset kesehatan di masa mendatang, namun banyak remaja mengalami masalah nutrisi. Hubungan efikasi diri dan latihan fisik dengan status nutrisi pada remaja di Kota Bekasi merupakan suatu bentuk keyakinan diri sebagai dasar timbulnya keinginan merencanakan dan melakukan kegiatan terencana oleh remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan efikasi diri dan latihan fisik dengan status nutrisi remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional dan pengambilan sampel secara consecutive sampling sebanyak 356 siswa sekolah menengah atas negeri di Kota Bekasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata remaja berusia 16 tahun dan berjenis kelamin perempuan 64,9%. Kesimpulan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara efikasi diri dan latihan fisik dengan status nutrisi pada remaja (p > 0,05). Rekomendasi perlu peningkatan upaya pencegahan primer dengan optimalisasi kegiatan UKS dan layanan konseling nutrisi remaja.

Abstract

Angka obesitas di Indonesia terus bertambah dan meningkat setiap tahunnya. Kejadian obesitas pada remaja merupakan masalah yang serius karena akan berdampak pada usia dewasa dan  menyebabkan berbagai penyakit kronis dan kematian. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor yang berhubungan dengan obesitas pada remaja. Metode yang digunakan adalah melakukan tinjauan literature secara sistematis dengan jangka waktu dari tahun 2012-2022 dengan database (Ebsco, proquest, siencedirect, dan springer) dengan menggunakan kata kunci remaja, faktor yang berpengaruh, dan obesitas. Hasil telaah awal didapatkan 550 artikel dari EBSCO, 4759 dari Proquest, 746 dari Science Direct, dan 1393 pada data base Springer 1393 dengan jumlah total sebanyak 7448. Kemudian hasil penyaringan judul dan abstrak artikel didapatkan 34 artikel yang memenuhi pencarian teks lengkap. Selanjutnya peneliti menyaring lagi artikel yang sesuai dengan kriteria inkluasi yaitu sebanyak 17 artikel. Hasil akhir penyaringan diperoleh 6 artikel yang layak dan sesuai kriteria inklusi dan dimasukkan dalam pembahasan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor yang berhubungan dengan obesitas adalah faktor aktifitas fisik, kebiasaan makan yang kurang sehat, rendahnya literasi kesehatan, dorongan orang tua terhadap perilaku gaya hidup sehat, penggunaan smartphone yang salah. Kesimpulan dari studi ini mengidentifikasi beberapa faktor gaya hidup yang terkait dengan obesitas yang dapat mewakili target untuk pencegahan dan pengelolaan obesitas di kalangan remaja. Peran perawat dalam melakukan pencegahan primer untuk mencegah risiko obesitas adalah dengan mempromosikan gaya hidup aktif dan diet sehat harus menjadi prioritas.
