Abstract

In recent years, the issue of fuel depletion has become a significant problem in the world. The logistics sector is one of the sectors with an increase in fuel consumption. Therefore, route optimization is one of the attempts to solve the problem of minimization fuel consumption. In addition, this problem generally also has time windows. This study aimed to solve the Green Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows (GVRPTW) using the Camel Algorithm (CA). The objective function in this problem was to minimize the total cost of distribution, which involves the cost of fuel consumption and the cost of late delivery. The CA parameter experiment was conducted to determine the effect of the parameter on distribution cost and the computation time. In addition, this study also compared the CA algorithm's performance with the Local search algorithm, Particle Swarm Optimization, and Ant Colony Optimization. Results of this study indicated that the use of Camel population parameters and the total journey step affected the quality of the solution. Furthermore, the research results showed that the proposed algorithm had provided a better total distribution cost than the comparison algorithm.

Abstract

Inventory is crucial in maintaining a smooth production process and meeting consumer demand for manufacturing companies. This research focuses on production problems involving defects, rework, and scrap items in stochastic demand. This research aims to develop a production-availability model by minimizing the expectation of total cost (ETC). The model includes four main decision variables, namely production quantity (Q), safety factor (k), production rate (P), and rework rate (P1). This research uses the Aquila optimizer algorithm to optimize the objective function. It compares with the heuristic procedure and Harris Hawk optimization algorithm. The results showed that the Aquila optimizer algorithm successfully optimized the production-availability problem. A comparison between algorithms indicates that the Aquila optimizer algorithm performs equivalently to the Harris Hawk optimization algorithm and outperforms the heuristic procedure. Sensitivity analysis shows that increasing demand uncertainty increases ETC and k. At the same time, it can decrease Q.

Abstract

Multi-item inventory management in modern production environments faces major challenges related to stochastic demand, transportation costs, and carbon emissions. This study aims to develop a sustainable lot sizing model that integrates economic and environmental aspects, and proposes the one-to-one based optimization (OOBO) algorithm as a problem-solving approach. The methodology used includes non-linear programming (NLP) formulation that considers stochastic demand, ordering and storage costs, carbon emissions, energy consumption, and vehicle capacity constraints. The model is then optimized using OOBO and compared with the Aquila, particle swarm optimization (PSO), and genetic algorithm (GA) algorithms in three case scale scenarios (6, 30, and 50 items). The experimental results show that OOBO consistently outperforms the comparison algorithms, with cost savings of up to 40.9% in the 50-item case. OOBO also demonstrated high exploration resilience without premature convergence and competitive computational time efficiency. These findings confirm that OOBO is effective in simultaneously optimizing total costs and carbon emissions, making it an adaptive solution for sustainable supply chain management. The theoretical implications include the expansion of OOBO's application to multidimensional stochastic systems, while in practical terms, this model supports decision-makers in formulating environmentally friendly and efficient inventory policies.

Abstract

Agribusiness companies face challenges in green supplier selection due to subjective judgments and information gaps. To address these linguistic ambiguity and subjective uncertainties, this study develops a hybrid MCDM framework integrating the α-cut based Fuzzy BWM and Interval-Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy MABAC (IVIF-MABAC). F-BWM α-cut derives stable weights from linguistic preferences, and IVIF-MABAC provides robust ranking by handling hesitancy. This approach, novel for the Indonesian tropical fruit sector, involved three experts (academic, manager, consultant) via questionnaires and FGDs. Results show Product Quality and Transparency & Traceability are critical. The 4th Green Supplier consistently achieved the highest ranking. The framework offers managers a reliable tool, enhancing sustainability and competitiveness within tropical fruit supply chains.
