Abstract

In aquaculture, efficiency of feed is very important to decrease cost production. Besides, excess of feed consumptions caused disturbance of water quality which affected on productivity and survival rate. Fasting day interval was one of best chosen method to make efficiency and effectively on feeding schedule. The research was aimed to know the effect on fasting day interval against its growth and survival rate. Experimental design used was completely randomized design with 4 treatments, 3 replication. The treatments were: P1 (1 day given feed, 1 day fasted), P2 (2 day given feed, 1 day fasted), P3 (3 day given feed, 1 day fasted), P4 (given feed everyday/control). Red nile used gave length 7–10 cm and weight 10 - 19 g were placed on cement pond 1 m2 of sized. Fish density was 20 fishes/m2 with fed consumption about 3% daily of total biomass weight. Result showed that treatment using fasting day interval on red nile fish did not affect on both compensatory growth and its survival rate. Better growth occurred at P4 which fed intake consumption everyday without fasted. While P1 revealed same result (p>0,05) on survival rate with P4.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and reveal the soil fauna community which includes individual counts, diversity and dominance as well as the quality of the soil environment in the former landfills Gunung Tugel land, Kedung Randu Village, Patikraja District, Banyumas Regency. The method used is purposive random sampling. Sampling was carried out for six months, during January-June 2021, six times with an interval of one month, at day (06.00 - 08.00) and night (18.00-20.00). Soil sampling and soil quality measurements were carried out at two research locations, location I in the northern and eastern areas of the ex-landfills Gunung Tugel area and location II in the western and southern areas of the ex- landfills Gunung Tugel area. The results of the sampling were identified using a microscope and referred to the book An Introduction to the Study of Insects and the book Ecology of Soil Animals. The results showed that 394 individuals of soil mesofauna were counted which belonged to 12 orders, 15 families and 17 species. The diversity index is classified as moderate, in the range of 0.970 - 1.097 with an average of 1.045. The dominance index is relatively low, ranging from 0.335 to 0.423 with an average of 0.367 and shows that no species dominates. The quality of the soil environment of the former Gunung Tugel landfills is classified as not yet feasible to support the life of the soil mesofauna.

Abstract

This community service aims to find solutions to the financing difficulties faced by education units, especially in primary schools. Building SD-Preneur is expected to be the answer, so that schools have financial flexibility in carrying out school programs. The service method begins with the socialization of SD-Preneur, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. SD-Preneur, which started at SD Muhammadiyah Cipete, Cilongok, Banyumas, Central Java, February 4, 2022, raised the spirit of entrepreneurship comprehensively, by dividing the school into two rooms: a non-profit education room and a business room. With SD-Preneur, SD Muhammadiyah Cipete does not only rely on education financing from students, but from businesses such as catering, textile products, and even from banking.

Abstract

Pada saat ini diperlukan adanya dukungan manajemen yang efektif dan efesien dalam organisasi pendidikan, karena semakin besarnya perhatian dan pengakuan dari berbagai pihak. Peserta didik perlu dibangun mentalitasnya sehingga mampu berpikir kreatif dan mampu mengembangkan minat serta bakatnya untuk mampu bersaing didunia kerja dan bisa bekerja secara professional dan berdedikasi yang tinggi terhadap profesinya. Sekolah harus mampu menampung aspirasi masyarakat dan dunia kerja untuk dapat diterima dan diminati oleh konsumen pendidikan, sehingga sekolah benar-benar menerapkan manajemen yang efektif untuk menyelenggarakan pendidikan yang bermutu dan dapat dirasakan oleh konsumen pendidikan tersebut. Untuk menciptakan pendidikan yang berkualitas harus ada pelayanan yang terus menerus yang senantiasa menjaga standar mutunya dan tetunya adanya kerjasama pihak internal dan eksternal sekolah yang terus-menerus dibina dan dilakukan secara baik serta terencana. Berdasarkan deskripsi tersebut maka dilakukan penyuluhan dan pembinaan peningkatan mutu SMK Muhammadiyah 1. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegitan ini yaitu: Metode yang digunakan dalam penerapan Ipteks ini adalah metode partisipasi langsung (PLA) yang di dalamnya mencakup: penyuluhan dan pembelajaran, pembinaan peningkatan mutu perencanaan pendidikan serta praktek langsung dalam program manajemen.

Abstract

Sidat termasuk komoditas ikan air tawar yang bernilai ekonomis, namun populasinya terancam karena banyak sungai yang debit airnya turun, kualitas air yang kurang mendukung serta adanya bendungan yang menghambat gerakan alamiahnya. Harga sidat cukup tinggi namun ketersediaan di pasar sangat terbatas. Pertumbuh sidatrelatif lambat, harga pakan yang tinggi serta benih terbatas menyebabkan permintaan konsumen belum bisa dipenuhi. Oleh karena itu diupayakan agar ongkos produksi dapat ditekan sehingga diperoleh keuntungan yang memadai. Salah satu alternatif yang dapat dilakukan adalah menggunakan ekstrak daun pepaya sehingga daya cerna pakan meningkat, lebih efisien dan konversi pakan menjadi lebih baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen, perlakuan dengan pemberian ekstrak daun pepaya yang dicampur kedalam pakan serta tanpa ekstrak daun pepaya sebagai kontrol, masing-masing dengan 10 ulangan individu. Data kuantitatif dianalisis menggunakan Excell. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian ekstrak daun pepaya yang dicampur kedalam pakan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan relatif, pertumbuhan nisbi, efisiensi pakan, rasio efisiensi protein, konversi pakan dan pertambahan berat namun laju pertumbuhan harian tidak lebih baik dari kontrol. Dengan demikian ekstrak daun pepaya potensi digunakan sebagai suplemen yang dicampur dalam pakan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan sidat.

Abstract

One of the bacterial diseases that often attack freshwater fish is the red-sore disease, also known as aeromoniasis or Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS). It is caused by bacteria from Aeromonas genus, such as Aeromonas hydrophila. A safe alternative treatment for pathogenic bacteria is the use of antibacterial compounds made from natural ingredients. The Excoecaria agallocha mangrove extract is one of potential alternatives that is useful as natural antimicrobials due to its various contents of antibacterial bioactive compounds. The objective of this study was to determine the antimicrobial activity of E. agallocha mangrove extract in inhibiting the growth of A. hydrophila. The research method was experimental with complete randomized design and factorial pattern of 3 factors (type of plant organ, bacterial strain, and concentration of extract), in 48 treatments and 3 replications. The solvents used consisted of methanol (polar) and n-hexane (non-polar). The plant organs used included leaves and stems. The bacterial strains consisted of GPl-04, GB-01, GL-01, GL-02, GJ-01, and GK-01 with concentrations of leaves and stems extracts of 0, 10, 20, and 30%. The parameter measured was the diameter of inhibition zone, which was done by using disc paper (Kirby Bauer method). Non-parametric Kruskall-Wallis Test and qualitative-descriptive data analysis were applied. The methanol extract of E. agallocha leaves in GJ-01 strain at 10 and 20% concentrations had antimicrobial activity with inhibition zone in 2.55 mm and 2.46 mm, respectively. The n-hexane extract of E. agallocha stem at 20 and 30% concentrations had antimicrobial activity with inhibition zones of 1.88 mm in GPl-04 strain and 1.58 mm in GB-01 strain, respectively. Extract of E. agallocha mangrove exhibited potential as a natural antibacterial to prevent aeromoniasis in fish.

Abstract

To meet the needs of fish consumption for the community, African catfish are cultivated intensively. African catfish cultivation is carried out intensively with high stocking density, but some disadvantages inhibit growth. To support growth, it is done by giving a combination of fucoidan supplements with turmeric. Fucoidan and turmeric are known to increase fish growth, but there are no reports of using a combination of fucoidan and turmeric given in feed to increase fish growth. Therefore, this study wants to determine the effect of fucoidan supplementation with turmeric on the growth of African catfish. The method used was a completely randomized design with treatment B: (400 mg fucoidan + 1350 mg turmeric extract) kg-1 feed, C: (800 mg fucoidan + 1200 mg turmeric extract) kg-1 feed, D: (1200 mg fucoidan + 1050 mg of turmeric extract) kg-1 of feed and control (A), each with 4 replications. The parameters observed were weight and length gain, survival growth rate (SGR), feed conversion rate (FCR), and feed efficiency (FE). Data were analysed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) at the 95% confidence level and continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the combination of fucoidan supplementation with turmeric significantly increased (p <0.05) weight and length growth, SGR, FCR, and FE. The addition of fucoidan supplements with turmeric can be used to cultivate African catfish with an optimal dose (1200 mg fucoidan + 1050 mg turmeric extract) kg-1 feed.

Abstract

Admission of New Students (PPDB) in primary and secondary education units continues to experience dynamics. Contestation among schools, especially non-favorites, in getting new students is often colored by gratification. In order to apply to the school, the school provides a stimulus by providing uniforms, shoes, bags, stationery and so on. This mode is the most basic gratification exercise. In fact, Permendikbud No. 1 of 2021 concerning the Admission of New Students (PPDB) Chapter II concerning Procedures for Accepting New Students Article 2 paragraph (1) states, PPDB is implemented objectively, transparently, and accountably. Education units have many options in marketing education, avoiding a variety of commendable action options. The best option is to improve the quality of educational services starting from the management of marketing services. The quality of RATER services (reliability, assurance, tangible, empathy, and responsiveness) is expected to be a solution to the increasingly tough competition in PPDB, especially when the world community enters the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Among educational marketing management, social media-based educational marketing is the hottest option. Because, social media today is increasingly dominant to be a part of the lives of all generations, from the older, middle generation, let alone the millennial generation.  The best improvement of educational services is to improve the quality of educators. Teachers are the key role in whether or not education services are qualified. No matter how good the curriculum is, if the educator's services in the education unit are of low quality, then the education services remain low. On the contrary, no matter how bad the curriculum is, if the teachers who teach are of high quality, then the quality of educational services is high. Ideally, the best educational services start from a quality concept, are implemented by qualified educators, and are managed using services that are reliable, guaranteed, real, empathetic, and responsive to various phenomena that occur, especially for students. Quality educators who are managed with school-based management that is also qualified make the school an ideal place for learning for students. This kind of education unit is what parents are looking for to entrust their children to study at school. By improving the quality of schools plus a social media-based marketing system, it is the best way to win the competition for the admission of new students elegantly

Abstract

Masyarakat konsumen menyukai kan patin (Pangasius sp.) karena rasa dan tekstur dagingnya yang enak. Budidaya intensif digalakkan untuk mencukupi kebutuhan dan permintaan konsumen. Budidaya intensif dilakukan dengan padat penebaran tinggi, namun apabila manajemennya kurang baik berpotensi menimbukan sisa pakan dan feses yang mengendap didasar kolam. Pengendapan sisa pakan dan feses didasar kolam dapat membahayakan kualitas air yang berdampak pada perlambatan pertumbuhan. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, dapat dilakukan dengan budidaya sistim bioflok untuk memperbaiki kualitas air disertai penambahan suplemen tepung jahe melalui pakan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhanya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memastikan ada tidaknya dampak positif budidaya sistim bioflok dengan pakan yang mengandung suplemen tepung jahe terhadap pertumbuhan ikan patin. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium basah kolam bioflok Desa Karangsari, Kembaran, Banyumas. Metode eksperimen digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), 4 perlakuan, 1 kontrol dan 4x replikasi. Perlakuan berupa pemberian tepung jahe dalam pakan dengan sistim bioflok, yaitu P0 = kontrol, P1= pakan + bioflok, P2 = pakan mengandung 5,63 g tepung jahe kg-1 pakan + bioflok, P2 = pakan mengandung 3,75 g tepung jahe kg-1 pakan + bioflok, P3 = pakan mengandung 1,88 g tepung jahe kg-1 pakan + bioflok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemberian pakan yang dicampur tepung jahe dalam pakan dengan sistem bioflok secara signifikan meningkatkan pertambahan berat dan panjang, laju pertumbuhan harian, rasio konversi dan efisiensi pakan dengan dosis optimal 5,63 g tepung jahe kg-1 pakan. Hal ini menunjukkan, penambahan suplemen tepung jahe melalui pakan dalam sistem bioflok dapat digunkan untuk budidaya ikan patin.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan limbah bulu ayam menjadi bahan pakan ikan dengan fermentasi Bacillus subtilis. Penelitian menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) 4 perlakuan, 3 kali ulangan, yaitu P0 : tepung bulu ayam non fermentasi; P1 : fermentasi dengan inokulum B. subtilis 5 mL/2 g tepung bulu ayam; P2 : fermentasi dengan inokulum B. subtilis 10 mL/2 g tepung bulu ayam; P3 : fermentasi dengan inokulum B. subtilis 15 mL/2 g tepung bulu ayam. Parameter yang diamati adalah hasil uji proksimat meliputi kadar protein kasar, kadar air, kadar abu, kadar lemak kasar, kadar serat kasar, dan parameter pendukung yaitu uji organoleptik, berupa sifat fisik tepung bulu ayam, meliputi warna, tekstur, dan bau. Data berupa hasil uji proksimat dianalisis menggunakan ANAVA dan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) dengan taraf uji 5%, sedangkan untuk data hasil organoleptik dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan limbah bulu ayam menjadi bahan pakan ikan dapat dilakukan dengan fermentasi B. subtilis. Fermentasi tepung bulu ayam menggunakan B. subtillis dapat meningkatkan kualitas bahan baku pakan ikan. Perlakuan P2 (inokulum 10 mL/2 g tepung bulu ayam)adalah perlakuan yang paling efektif karena menghasilkan protein tertinggi yaitu 80,59%, dengan perubahan sifat fisik menjadi putih sampai putih kekuningan (warna), lembut (tekstur), dan khas kurang menyengat (bau). ABSTRACTThis study aims to utilize waste chicken feathers into fish feed ingredients by fermentation of Bacillus subtilis. The research has done by experimental methods with completely randomized design (CRD) 4 treatments, 3 repetitions, ie P0: non-fermented chicken feather meal; P1: fermentation with B. subtilis 5 mL inoculum/2 g chicken feather meal; P2: 10 mL/2 g chicken feather meal; P3: 15 mL/2 g chicken feather meal. Parameters measured were the proximate test results include the levels of crude protein, moisture, ash, crude fat content, fiber content, and organoleptic parameters that support, in the form of physical properties of chicken feather meal, including color, texture, and smell. Proximate test data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) with 5% level, while the organoleptic data were analyzed qualitatively descriptively. The results showed that the utilization of waste chicken feathers into fish feed ingredients can be done by fermentation of B. subtilis. Fermentation chicken feather meal using inoculum B. subtillis can improve the quality of fish feed ingredients. Treatment P2 (inoculum 10 mL/2 g chicken feather meal) is the most effective treatment because it produces the highest protein is 80.59%, with changes in physical properties to be white to yellowish white (colour), soft (texture), and less typical sting (smell).
