Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui waktu kontak optimum adsorpsi arang aktif kulit singkong terhadap ion logam Pb2+ dan kapasitas adsorpsi arang aktif kulit singkong terhadap ion logam Pb2+. Penentuan waktu kontak optimum menggunakan metode batch dengan variasi waktu yaitu 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, dan 120 menit dan penentuan kapasitas adsorpsi menggunakan pola isotherm Freundlich dan Langmuir dengan variasi konsentrasi ion Pb2+ 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 dan 30 ppm. Banyaknya ion Pb2+ yang terserap diukur menggunakan Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom Shimadzu A7000. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa waktu kontak optimum tercapai pada menit ke-100, dan adsorpsi arang aktif kulit singkong terhadap ion logam Pb2+ mengikuti pola isotherm Freundlich dengan kapasitas adsorpsi sebesar 3,1622 mg/g.Kata kunci: Adsorpsi, Arang aktif, ion Pb2+, Kapasitas adsorpsi, Kulit singkongABSTRACTThis research aims to know the optimum contact time of adsorption of active charcoal of cassava peel to Pb2+ ion and adsorption capacity of active charcoal of cassava peel to Pb2+ ion. Determination of optimum contact time using batch method with 20, 40, 60, 80, 100, and 120 minutes as the time variation and determination of adsorption capacity using Freundlich and Langmuir isotherm with concentration variation of Pb2+ ion were 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 ppm. The amount of ion adsorbed was measured by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers (AAS) Shimadzu A7000. The results showed that optimum contact time achieved in 100 minutes and adsorption of active charcoal of cassava peel to Pb2+ ion followed the Freundlich isotherm by 3,1622 mg/g as the adsorption capacity.Keywords: Adsorption, Active charcoal, Pb2+ ion, Adsorption capacity, Cassava peel

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan media Liveworksheets dalam model discovery learning terhadap HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills) peserta didik kelas IX B.i 2 SMP Negeri 6 Makassar (Mata Pelajaran IPA Materi Pewarisan Sifat). Sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas IX B.i 2 yang berjumlah 31 peserta didik. Kegiatan pembelajaran dilaksanakan sebanyak 5 kali pertemuan yang terdiri dari 1 pertemuan pretest, 3 pertemuan proses pembelajaran dan 1 pertemuan posttest. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial. Hasil yang dicapai setelah pembelajaran menggunakan media Liveworksheets dalam model discovery learning terhadap High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS), adalah tingkat ketuntatasan perorangan pretest dan posttest peserta didik yaitu bertutut turut sebesar 0% dan 90,32% serta rata-rata nilai gain ternormalisasi hasil belajar adalah 0,68 yang berada pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan data tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media Liveworksheets dalam model discovery learning terhadap High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) efektif terhadap High Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) peserta didik kelas IX B.i 2 SMP Negeri 6 Makassar pada mata pelajaran IPA materi pewarisan sifat.

Abstract

Abstract. This study investigated the effect of adding acid on the metal oxide content of natural clay in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi Province. The acid solutions used were sulfuric acid (H2SO4), hydrochloric acid (HCl), and nitric acid (HNO3) with a concentration of 3 M. The characterization of metal oxide content was carried out using XRF and morphological analysis of natural clay using SEM. The results showed that the impurity metal oxide content decreased after being treated with acid. The largest mass percent of silica alumina occurred in the HCl 3 M treatment with alumina mass percent of 20.27% and silica of 25.41%. The clay morphology looks different after being treated with acid for all types of acid solutions. The results of this study are expected to become recommendations for further research related to natural clay pretreatment both as a ceramic base material and as a catalyst support.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Problem Based Learning model on scientific literacy ability of Class XI MIA SMA Angkasa Maros Students. The research method used is a quasi-experimental with a quantitative approach with a posttest-only control group design. The data collection technique used multiple choice tests to obtain data on scientific literacy ability. Data analysis was performed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results of statistical analysis obtained that the experimental class average learning outcomes were 78 higher than the control class, namely 63,51. The results of statistical analysis of scientific literacy ability showed that the experimental and control class data came from a homogeneous population and normally distributed for experimental class but not normally distributed for control class so that the test used was the Mann-Whitney test, thus indicating there is an effect of scientific literacy ability on students after being taught using Problem Based Learning Modelwith a confidence level of 0.05 of 1.64. From these data, it can be seen that zcount (3,26) > ztable. (1.64). based on these data, it can be concluded that there is an effect of Problem Based Learning model on scientific literacy ability of Class XI MIA SMA Angkasa Maros Students (Material for buffer solution).   ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Problem Based Learning Terhadap Kemampuan Literasi Sains Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas XI MIA SMA Angkasa Maros. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi ekperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain posttest-only control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes pilihan ganda untuk memperoleh data hasil tes kemampuan literasi sains. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil analisis statistik diperoleh rata-rata  hasil belajar kelas eksperimen 78 lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol yaitu 63,51. Hasil analisis statistik inferensial terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik menunjukkan bahwa data kelas eskperimen dan kelas kontrol berasal dari populasi yang homogen dan data kelompok eksperimen terdistribusi normal tetapi data kelompok kontrol tidak terdistribusi normal sehingga uji hipotesis yang digunakan adalah uji Mann-Whitney, sehingga menunjukkan bahwa Terdapat pengaruh kemampuan literasi sains pada peserta didik setelah diajar menggunakan model Problem Based Learning dengan taraf kepercayaan 0,05 sebesar 1,64. Dari data tersebut terlihat zhitung (3,26) > ztabel. (1,64). Berdasarkan data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model Problem Based Learning Terhadap Kemampuan Literasi Sains Peserta Didik Kelas XI MIA SMA Angkasa Maros (studi pada materi pokok larutan penyangga).

Abstract

This study aims to identify student learning difficulties in physical chemistry lectures. The subjects are 61 students in the chemistry education study program from two different classes. The research method used is mixed. Data were obtained by using instruments in the form of structured and unstructured questionnaires. Based on the results of the data analysis, several student learning difficulties were identified. Based on unstructured questionnaires, students' learning difficulties in physical chemistry material based on internal factors are caused because students find it difficult to do calculation problems, formulate derivation, and use many formulas. Based on external factors, namely the learning method used. Students prefer learning that is carried out face-to-face in a class by doing a lot of practice questions connected with applying formulas to questions and in everyday life. 55.7% of students in the medium category in learning disorder, 72% of students in the high category in learning disability, 65.5% of students in the medium category in learning dysfunction, 57% of students in the medium category in slowly learner, and 54% of students in the medium category in lower achiever. According to many students, physical chemistry is difficult. In addition, some of the causes of physical chemistry being considered difficult are confusion in analyzing questions, and learning conducted online during the Covid-19 pandemic is considered less effective. Students expect the learning method used to provide many examples and practice questions.

Abstract

Abstrak. Harga komoditas minyak goreng terus mengalami kenaikan secara signifikan pada akhir tahun 2021 lalu. Memasuki tahun 2022, harga minyak goreng masih belum juga mengalami penurunan, bahkan sangat langka untuk ditemukan di pasaran. Minyak goreng yang umum dipakai di Indonesia untuk proses penggorengan adalah minyak kelapa sawit. Namun ada minyak nabati lain yang bisa dipakai, seperti minyak kelapa. Kelapa merupakan buah tropis yang banyak tumbuh di kepulauan Indonesia, salah satunya adalah di Sulawesi Selatan. Salah satu kabupaten di Sulawesi Selatan dengan penghasil kelapa terbesar adalah Kabupaten Wajo. Permasalahan langkanya minyak goreng dapat diatasi dengan memanfaatkan sumber daya alam kelapa yang ada. Di Kelurahan Walennae Kecamatan Sabbangparu Kabupaten Wajo telah memiliki kelompok pembuat minyak kelapa, beranggotakan masyarakat setempat yang mengelola hasil kebun kelapa menjadi minyak kelapa. Jumlah minyak kelapa yang dapat dihasilkan per hari hanya sekitar 10 liter. Berdasarkan hasil observasi dan wawancara, salah satu hambatan kurangnya jumlah produksi minyak kelapa adalah karena membutuhkan banyak tenaga pada proses pemerasan santan dan saat proses pemanasan membutuhkan waktu yang cukup lama. Dengan demikian dibutuhkan sentuhan IPTEK untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, salah satunya adalah dengan melakukan pelatihan mengenai pembuatan minyak kelapa dengan metode fermentasi dan pemanfaatan teknologi mesin pemeras santan. Kegiatan ini disambut baik oleh warga yang ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya pemahaman dan pengetahuan mengenai proses pembuatan minyak kelapa dengan metode fermentasi.Keywords: Minyak kelapa, fermentasi, pemeras santan

Abstract

This work investigated the use of acid treatment on the characteristics of zeolite mineral. The effects of treating zeolite with various acid solutions hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4) were measured using x-ray fluorescence (XRF), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results showed an increase in the percentage of SiO2 and Al2O3 after zeolite activation, and also a decrease in the amount of impurities. The crystalline phase of the zeolite was carried out using XRD analysis, indicating the type of zeolite used is modernite. The SiO2 phase in the sample is quartz, and the Al2O3 phase is corundum. The average crystal size decreased after activation, from 14.23 nm to 6.85 nm for HCl and 5.42 nm for H2SO4. Futhermore, the surface morphology of all zeolite samples has a form of irregular spherical surface, and the surface size of the particles after activation shows a smaller particle shape. The results of this study are expected to become recommendations for further research related to natural zeolite pretreatment as a catalyst support.

Abstract

This research is quasy experiment that aimed to find the effect of cooperative learning model jigsaw type of student’s achievement in class X SMAN 1 Pangsid Sidrap.The study design used is Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The sampling technique is done by random sampling so that elected two classes namely class X1 as an experimental class with the number of students 43 and X2 class as control class with the number of students 41 people. Experimental class taught by using cooperative learning model Jigsaw type while the control class was taught by using conventional learning models. The instrument used is result test of learning then it converted into N-Gain. The data was obtained by the N-gain for the experimental class is 0.73 which more high compared with the control class which only by 0.62. Achievement test were analyzed using t-test right parties. T-test results obtained tcalculate = 4,038> ttable = 1.670 in α ═ 0.05. It Concluded that there is a positive effect of cooperative learning model jigsaw type of student’s achievement in class X SMAN 1 Pangsid Sidrap on Redox Reactions subject matter.

Abstract

The research was a quasi-experimental that aimed to know the effect of guided discovery learning toward students’ achievement of class X SMAN 2 Binamu. The independent variable in this research was guided discovery learning models, the dependent variable was students’ achievement on chemical bonding subject matter. The population was class X SMAN 2 Binamu consisted of 157 students that spread on six classes. Taking technique of sample was random sampling. The sample of this research consisted of two classes, namely class X1 as an experiment class with 25 students and class X2 as a control class with 25 students. The data of the research were gathered by testing the students’ achievement on chemical bonding subject matter for post-test multiple choice form which were analyzed by using t-test. Results of inferential statistical analysis were tcalculate (1,865) higher than ttable (1,671) on α ═ 0,05. Conclude that guided discovery learning model gives effected to toward student’s achievement of class X SMAN 2 Binamu on chemical bonding subject matter.
