Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experimental) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh simulasi Physics Education Technology dalam model guided inquiry terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar pada materi pokok asam basa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar yang terdiri dari 6 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu simple random sampling sehingga sampel penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA6 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA5 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah peserta didik berturut-turut 33 orang dan 32 orang. Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah simulasi Physics Education Technology dalam model guided inquiry dan variabel terikatnya yaitu hasil belajar. Data hasil belajar yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan nilai N-Gain peserta didik kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berturut-turut yaitu 0,616 dan 0,540. Hasil analisis inferensial menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney diperoleh Zhitung = 2,21 dan pada taraf signifikan (α) = 0.05 diperoleh Ztabel = 1.64. Oleh karena itu, Zhitung > Ztabel, maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan simulasi Physics Education Technology dalam model guided inquiry terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMAN 8 Makassar pada materi pokok asam basa. ABSTRACT This study was a Quasi experimental research which aimed to find out the effect of Physics Education Technology simulation on guided inquiry model towards to Students’ Achievement of XI MIPA of SMAN 8 Makassar on acid and base subject matter. The research design that used was a pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this study was all XI grade students of SMAN 8 Makassar that spread into six classes. A simple random technique was used and was obtained XI MIPA6 as experimental class and XI MIPA5 as control class with number of students was 33 and 32 people respectively. The independent variable of this study is Physics Education Technology simulation on guided inquiry model and the dependent variable is students’ achievement. Data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistics. The descriptive analysis showed that the average of the N-gain of experimental and control class was 0,616 and 0,540 respectively. The inferential analysis by using Mann-Whitney test was obtained Zcount = 2,21 and on significant degree (α) = 0,05, was obtained Ztable = 1,64. Therefore, Zcount > Ztable, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. It showed that there was a significant effect of Physics Education Technology simulation on guided inquiry model towards to XI grade students’ achievement of SMAN 8 Makassar on acid and base subject matter.

Abstract

This work investigated the use of acid treatment on the characteristics of zeolite mineral. The effects of treating zeolite with various acid solutions hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4) were measured using x-ray fluorescence (XRF), x-ray diffraction (XRD), and scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results showed an increase in the percentage of SiO2 and Al2O3 after zeolite activation, and also a decrease in the amount of impurities. The crystalline phase of the zeolite was carried out using XRD analysis, indicating the type of zeolite used is modernite. The SiO2 phase in the sample is quartz, and the Al2O3 phase is corundum. The average crystal size decreased after activation, from 14.23 nm to 6.85 nm for HCl and 5.42 nm for H2SO4. Futhermore, the surface morphology of all zeolite samples has a form of irregular spherical surface, and the surface size of the particles after activation shows a smaller particle shape. The results of this study are expected to become recommendations for further research related to natural zeolite pretreatment as a catalyst support.

Abstract

Keterampilan menulis sangat diperlukan dalam pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan, khususnya bagi tenaga pendidik. Guru di SMAN 11 Pangkep menghadapi beberapa kendala pada proses penulisan artikel ilmiah, seperti kurangnya motivasi dari dalam diri mereka dan kurang memiliki keterampilan dalam menulis artikel ilmiah seperti ketidakpastian tata bahasa serta kurangnya pengetahuan teknis. Pemanfaatan kecerdasan buatan (AI) merupakan solusi yang menjanjikan, memungkinkan guru-guru untuk mengatasi kendala teknis dan meningkatkan kualitas penulisan. Pelatihan dilakukan dengan memberikan pemaparan materi terkait pentingnya menulis artikel ilmiah bagi guru untuk meningkatkan motivasi dalam diri guru untuk menulis. Selain itu, tim pengabdi juga memaparkan materi berupa beberapa aplikasi AI yang dapat digunakan untuk membantu penulisan tata bahasa Inggris, mempermudah parafrase, serta cek plagiasi melalui penggunaan Grammarly, Quillbot, serta Turnitin. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini diharapkan para peserta dapat menerapkan ilmu yang didapatkannya dalam penulisan artikel ilmiah dengan benar dan dipublikasikan pada jurnal nasional bereputasi.

Abstract

Adanya pandemi Covid-19 di akhir tahun 2019 mengubah pola hidup masyarakat di dunia, salah satunya adalah penerapan protokol kesehatan, seperti  memakai masker dan senantiasa menjaga kebersihan. Dengan demikian, salah satu hal yang wajib dibawa jika ingin berpergian adalah hand sanitizer. Pada kegiatan PKM ini akan diberikan pelatihan pembuatan hand sanitizer berbahan dasar daun kemangi. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah Kelompok PKK yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Samata Kecamatan Somba Opu Kabupaten Gowa. Kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahapan yaitu, peyuluhan terkait kandungan bahan alam, tahap kedua meliputi peragaan (demonstrasi) pembuatan hand sanitizer berbahan dasar daun kemangi, dan dilanjutkan dengan tahap praktek pembuatan hand sanitizer oleh tim bersama dengan mitra. Setelah mengikuti kegiatan ini, seluruh anggota kelompok PKK Keluarahan Samata mampu mengolah daun kemangi menjadi hand sanitizer alami.

Abstract

This study aims to identify student learning difficulties in physical chemistry lectures. The subjects are 61 students in the chemistry education study program from two different classes. The research method used is mixed. Data were obtained by using instruments in the form of structured and unstructured questionnaires. Based on the results of the data analysis, several student learning difficulties were identified. Based on unstructured questionnaires, students' learning difficulties in physical chemistry material based on internal factors are caused because students find it difficult to do calculation problems, formulate derivation, and use many formulas. Based on external factors, namely the learning method used. Students prefer learning that is carried out face-to-face in a class by doing a lot of practice questions connected with applying formulas to questions and in everyday life. 55.7% of students in the medium category in learning disorder, 72% of students in the high category in learning disability, 65.5% of students in the medium category in learning dysfunction, 57% of students in the medium category in slowly learner, and 54% of students in the medium category in lower achiever. According to many students, physical chemistry is difficult. In addition, some of the causes of physical chemistry being considered difficult are confusion in analyzing questions, and learning conducted online during the Covid-19 pandemic is considered less effective. Students expect the learning method used to provide many examples and practice questions.

Abstract

Various studies have been conducted to examine the effectiveness of character education in various contexts, including schools, families, and communities. However, as the scope of studies on character education has expanded, there is a need to understand how research trends in character education have developed over time. This study aims to analyse bibliometric trends in character education variables using data from scientific publications available in academic databases. This study uses a qualitative approach by combining bibliometric methods and systematic literature reviews (SLR) to analyse research trends and understand the importance of character education in learning. The results show that character education plays a crucial role in shaping students' morals and ethics from an early age through the support of the curriculum, schools, families, and communities, as well as the application of cultural values. Character education is an important aspect in the formation of individual personality. Character education can serve as a means of building environmental awareness among learners. Variables closely related to character education include Character Strengths, Virtue Ethics, Positive Education, Critical Thinking, Affective and Social Outcomes, Environmental Consciousness.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between students' cognitive abilities and their laboratory skills. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a correlational study design. The subjects of the study were 32 students from the Chemistry Education program. The laboratory skills assessed were related to activities in the Basic Chemistry laboratory, as this course integrates both classroom learning and laboratory practice. Cognitive ability data were obtained from quizzes, midterm exams, and final exams, while laboratory skills data were collected from assessments of pre-laboratory activities (assistance and response), laboratory experiment performance, practical reports, and a final exam conducted after all practical units were completed. The data analysis revealed a strong positive correlation between cognitive abilities and laboratory skills, with a correlation coefficient of 0.65.
