Abstract

Tingkat produksi municipal solid waste diperkirakan akan meningkat menjadi 2,1 miliar ton per tahun pada tahun 2024 di seluruh dunia. Namun, di negara berkembang mulai dari pengumpulan, transportasi, dan pembuangan limbah tetap menjadi tantangan, dan di negara maju teknologi yang baru digunakan untuk menghasilkan berbagai produk sampingan seperti panas, listrik, kompos, dan bahan bakar nabati. Studi ini mengevaluasi berbagai teknologi limbah menjadi energi yang telah dikembangkan dari semenjak adanya penemuan yang mampu mengubah sampah untuk didaur ulang untuk menjadi energi terbarukan hingga saat ini. Untuk karya ini sendiri dapat dibagi menjadi empat kelompok. Yaitu mulai dari biological treatment of waste; thermal treatment of waste; landfill gas utilization; dan biorefineries. Selanjutnya,  integrated solid waste management systems  with waste-to-energy technologies telah aman dipelajari dan teruji layak untuk pembaruan energi yang sudah dapat menunjukkan beberapa contoh dari seluruh dunia. Metode yang digunakan untuk memecahkan permasalahan limbah yang belum tertanggulangi dalam karya ilmiah ini adalah dengan menggunakan teknologi WTE dan ISWM-S yang pastinya dapat menjadi solusi cemerlang dalam mengubah sampah padat perkotaan menjadi energi terbarukan untuk dunia yang bersih dari sampah hingga limbah dan juga menyediakan masa depan dimana masyarakat tidak perlu lagi khawatir akan keterbatasannya sumber daya alam yang terbatas untuk diolah menjadi energi.

Abstract

Coastal communities, such as the Mangrove Community of Kebumen, face significant risks from tsunamis due to their geographical location. This community service initiative aimed to enhance tsunami disaster preparedness through education and mangrove conservation. The objectives were to improve community knowledge on tsunami mitigation and to empower locals in mangrove planting and maintenance practices. The methodology involved a structured program conducted at Pantai Sawangan, Desa Puring, involving 30 participants from the mangrove community and local residents. The activities included pre-tests, educational sessions on tsunami mitigation and mangrove conservation, and post-tests to evaluate knowledge retention. Expert-led discussions highlighted the role of mangroves as natural barriers against tsunamis. Results showed a significant increase in participants' understanding of tsunami risks and mitigation strategies post-training. Participants actively engaged in practical sessions, demonstrating enhanced skills in mangrove planting and maintenance. Feedback indicated strong community support and a desire for continued educational initiatives. In conclusion, the program effectively improved community resilience through enhanced knowledge and practical skills in disaster preparedness and mangrove conservation. Continued socialization and educational programs are recommended to sustain community involvement and deepen understanding of disaster mitigation across diverse societal groups, ensuring long-term resilience against coastal hazards.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan para fresh graduate Prodi Biologi Universitas Jendral Soedirman untuk siap bersaing dalam dunia kerja Kegiatan pengabdian ini menggunakan metode Experiental Learning. Subjek kegiatan pengabdian adalah mahasiswa yang baru menyelesaikan jenjang perkuliahan di Prodi Biologi Universitas Jendral Soedirman yang berjumlah 26 mahasiswa. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian menunjukkan hasil yang positif dari para peserta pengabdian karena mampu menambah kepercayaan diri untuk mampu bersaing di dalam kompetisi mendapatkan pekerjaan yang di impikan

Abstract

Korean street food in Indonesia is part of the ‘Korean Wave’ (hallyu) that hit Indonesia in the early 2010s. It is not difficult to find Korean street food in Indonesian cities. Korean street food has become part of urban culture in Indonesia. This research aims to analyze the existence of Korean street food in Indonesia using the concept of glocalization according to Roland Robertson. This research also analyze the glocalization of Korean street food in the local context in the form of halal Korean street food so that it is accepted and consumed by Indonesian people. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach as a research strategy. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study has shown that through various forms of glocalization, Korean street food has become part of Indonesian society. Korean street food has carried out relative syncretism of food through a process of particularization as universalization. This process is carried out by adopting the halal concept in Korean street food. The results of this research contribute to understanding the glocalization of street food in adopting the halal concept.

Abstract

KKN UNISNU Batch XV Klokah Group conducted digital marketing training and assistance to Mr. Abdul's MSMEs Furniture business located in Klokah Village, Kunduran sub-district, Blora district, Central Java province. The purpose of this community service is to develop Pak Abdul's furniture business by providing insight into marketing strategies that started in the traditional way and then changed to keep up with existing technological developments. In solving the problem of MSMEs furniture belonging to Mr. Abdul using the method of socialization, training, application of technology, assistance and sustainability. In the socialization and training stages the KKN Team provided material presentation on the importance of the role of digital marketing for the development of a business, provided tutorials for creating accounts on digital media such as Shopee and Instagram to market their products. With this community service, it is hoped that it can provide benefits for MSME actors in Klokah village, namely by adding information to develop their business by marketing and selling products through ecommerce and social media as a medium or tool for marketing products.

Abstract

The earth's energy reserves will be depleted due to the growing demand for energy, necessitating the adoption of renewable energy sources. The best way to replace it is to use the energy that flows through water to create electricity. Batteries can also be utilized to store electrical energy for later use. In this study, the batteries used to turn the water's energy into electricity are portable generators that can be carried anywhere. By needing a portable unit that is made from a turbine, generator, charger controller, auto buck bost converter, battery, and other supporting parts. It functions as a charger for computers, cellphones, and other electronic devices without a 12V battery that may change the voltage. Compare the variance in the water flow discharge and the power charger's charging time using the results that were obtained. River discharge 73.621 l/s charging time 42 hours, river discharge 73.621 l/s charging time 42 hours, pipe discharge 6.41 l/s charging time 84 hours, pipe discharge 8.064 l/s pipe charging time 38 hours, pipe discharge 9.868 l/s charging time 32 hours, and pipe discharge 14.42 l/s pipe 27 hours were the results. The battery charges more quickly the higher the discharge.

Abstract

Training in making silage animal feed from corn stalks is a modern economic innovation that is relevant to improving the welfare of farmers, especially in Karangkonang Village. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and skills of farmers in Karangkonang Village in utilizing corn tebon as an animal feed ingredient through the silage process, which can eventually be sold as an economic value product. The methods used in this training include theoretical explanation of silage making, practical demonstrations, and providing direct opportunities for participants to make their own silage. The results of this service activity show that the training participants positively understand silage making techniques and get the opportunity to feed silage to their livestock. Thus, this training not only increases the knowledge of farmers but also opens up new business opportunities that improve the economy of the Karangkonang Village community.Pelatihan pembuatan pakan ternak silase dari tebon jagung menjadi inovasi ekonomi modern yang relevan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan peternak, terutama di Desa Karangkonang. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan peternak di Desa Karangkonang dalam memanfaatkan tebon jagung sebagai bahan pakan ternak melalui proses silase, yang pada akhirnya dapat dijual sebagai produk bernilai ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini meliputi pemaparan teori mengenai pembuatan silase, demonstrasi praktik, serta pemberian kesempatan langsung kepada peserta untuk membuat silase sendiri. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta pelatihan secara positif memahami teknik pembuatan silase dan mendapatkan kesempatan untuk memberikan pakan silase kepada ternak mereka. Dengan demikian, pelatihan ini tidak hanya meningkatkan pengetahuan peternak tetapi juga membuka peluang usaha baru yang meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat Desa Karangkonang.

Abstract

Meningkatnya kebutuhan energi akan menyebabkan menipisnya cadangan energi di bumi dan membutuhkan energi cadangan yang dapat di perbaharui. Enrgi aliran air menjadi pilihan yang tepat untuk menggantikanya dengan memanfaatkannya menjadi energi pembangkit listrik. Dan energi listrik dapat di simpan di dalam batrei yang bisa digunakan kapan saja. Dalam penelitian ini mengubah energi air tersebut menjadi listrik yang di simpan di baterai dengan bentuk pembangkit yang portable bisa dibawa kemana mana. Dengan membutuhkan sebuah komponen seperti turbin, generator, charger controller, auto buck bost converter, baterai dan komponen pendukung lainnya yang di rangkai menjadi satu dalam bentuk portable. Dengan keluar baterai 12V yang bisa dinaikkan dan turunkan tegangannya sebagai charger handphone, laptop, dan peralatan elektronik lainnya. Dengan mengambil hasil yang didapatkan melakukan perbandingan dengan membandingkan perbedaan debit air yang mengalir dengan lama waktu pengisian pada power charger. didapatkan hasil pada debit sungai 73,621 l/s lama pengecasan 35 jam, debit debit sungai 73,621 l/s lama pengecasan 35 jam, debit pipa 6,41 l/s lama pengecasan 10 jam, debit pipa 8,064 l/s lama pengecasan 32 jam, debit pipa 9,868 l/s lama pengecasan 27 jam, debit pipa 14,42 l/s pipa 22,5 jam. Semakin besar debit maka semakin cepat pengisian pada baterai Kata kunci : piko Hidro, Turbin, Tegangan

Abstract

In the digital era, improving English vocabulary acquisition through technology-based tools has become increasingly urgent to meet the demands of modern language learning and curriculum integration. The research group investigated the impact of the DeepL app on students' vocabulary acquisition, noting that this interactive educational tool can also enhance vocabulary skills. However, research specifically examining the effect of DeepL apps on vocabulary acquisition is limited. This study aims to investigate the extent to which DeepL apps influence English vocabulary acquisition. This study used a quasi-experimental approach, involving 36 grade 10 students at MA Miftahul Ulum in the academic year 2024/2025. The study was divided into two groups, an experimental group and a control group. Eighteen students from class X IPS 1 participated in the experiment, while eighteen students from class X IPS 2 were placed in the control group. Pre-tests and Post-tests, consisting of a total of 20 valid multiple-choice questions, were among the data collection instruments. To verify the hypothesis, the researcher employed the independent sample t-test tool in SPSS 26. The mean post-test score of the experimental class was 88.06, while that of the control group was 70.56. Furthermore, the independent sample t-test findings revealed that the significant value (sig.) exceeded 0.05, specifically 6.525 (6.525 > 0.05), indicating that the DeepL application positively impacted students' vocabulary acquisition. This study highlights the potential of the app-based learning tool DeepL in improving educational outcomes related to vocabulary.

Abstract

The University of Jember's Student Village Program (Promahadesa) was implemented in Pringpadhu Hamlet, Rowosari Village, Sumberjambe District, Jember Regency, with the aim of overcoming the problem of durian peel waste that has not been utilized and causes environmental pollution. This activity aims to process the waste into products of economic value through the application of appropriate technology tools (TTG) in the form of extractors. The method used in this activity is Participatory Action Research (PAR), which involves the community actively in all stages of the activity, from problem identification, planning, implementation, to evaluation. The implementation of activities includes: design and assembly of household scale extractor tools, pretreatment of durian skin waste, the process of making dish soap and liquid organic fertilizer (POC), as well as socialization and demonstration of tools to the community. The results of this activity are the creation of TTG extractor tools and two main processed products, namely dish soap and POC, which are produced from durian skin distillate. The conclusion of this activity shows that the application of technology can increase community knowledge, minimize environmental pollution, and potentially add local economic value through the utilization of waste into village superior products.
