Abstract

This study investigates the multifaceted influence of digital learning analytics on student achievement within educational settings. The rapid integration of technology in education has given rise to the widespread utilization of digital learning analytics, which has the potential to transform how educational assessment strategies are designed and implemented. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, gathering quantitative data through surveys from various educators, students, and administrators while conducting qualitative interviews to provide deeper context. The findings indicate a significant adoption rate of digital learning analytics, with approximately 75% of surveyed institutions incorporating these tools into their assessment practices. Furthermore, most educators, administrators, and students perceive the positive impact of digital learning analytics on student achievement. However, the study reveals the nuanced effectiveness of various analytics tools and highlights pedagogical and ethical considerations associated with their use. The results underscore the need for tailored approaches to digital tool implementation and suggest the importance of balancing technological innovation with a holistic view of education. This research contributes to the ongoing dialogue on technology's role in education. It serves as a foundational step in understanding how digital learning analytics can enhance educational assessment and ultimately improve student achievement in the digital age.

Abstract

This longitudinal study thoroughly examined the enduring impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based automated learning systems on enhancing English content understanding among secondary education students. Employing a quasi- experimental research design, participants were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The study spanned multiple academic terms, providing an extensive timeframe for evaluating the sustained effects of AI integration. The research incorporated diverse methodologies, including pre-test and post-test assessments, continuous monitoring of AI-based learning activities, and surveys/interviews with participants. The findings revealed substantial improvements in English content understanding among students exposed to AI- driven learning systems over an extended period. Cognitive development analyses demonstrated not only enhanced language proficiency but also improvements in broader cognitive skills. Behavioral changes, including heightened engagement, were noted, positively impacting the learning experience. The study critically compared its outcomes with previous research, contributing valuable insights to the evolving discourse on the long-term effects of AI in education. Implications for long- term AI integration in English education were discussed, considering pedagogical shifts, curriculum development, and ethical considerations. The study identified potential areas for future research, emphasizing the need for continued exploration in optimizing AI's role in education. Recommendations were provided for educators, policymakers, and developers to inform evidence-based practices. In conclusion, this research comprehensively explains the sustained benefits and challenges associated with AI-based automated learning systems in secondary education.

Abstract

The use of multimedia technology in teaching English has become one of the most powerful methods to improve students' vocabulary skills at the primary school level. The study conducted in this research uses the literature study method. The results show that multimedia can create a much more interesting and varied learning experience, which in turn facilitates the recall and comprehension of new English words. Through the dynamic interaction provided by multimedia, students can see and hear words in various contexts, which helps to enrich their understanding. Furthermore, the use of multimedia can accelerate the teaching- learning process and increase students' motivation to learn English. Multimedia content is often designed with interesting visual and audio elements and educational games that encourage learning. These features not only make learning more fun, but also create a positive competitive atmosphere, so that students become more actively involved in learning and experience faster vocabulary improvement. However, the successful utilisation of multimedia in English vocabulary learning requires effective integration by teachers and sufficient technological support. Appropriate teaching strategies, along with continuous evaluation of student progress, are key to optimising learning outcomes. Thus, multimedia serves not only as a teaching aid, but also as a core component that can enrich the learning experience and improve student achievement at the primary school level

Abstract

Storytelling has long been recognised as an effective method in language learning, but with technological advances, digital storytelling is emerging as an attractive alternative. The research method used was literature. The results show that both methods are effective in improving listening skills, with digital storytelling showing a difference. Digital storytelling is considered more engaging and interactive by learners, while traditional storytelling is considered more personalised and allows direct interaction with the speaker,

Abstract

This article examines the dilemma of disruption versus transformation posed by generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Indonesian higher education, focusing on faculty pedagogical competencies, academic integrity, and the future of the education system. The research method employed was a literature review. The findings reveal that AI poses a threat of eroding critical thinking skills (a 35% decline) and fueling the rise of AI-driven plagiarism (a 30% increase), yet it also offers opportunities for transformation through adaptive learning, AI literacy as a 21st-century competency, and authentic assessment that enhances pedagogical efficiency by up to 50%. The discussion of these two main pillars underscores the need for a paradigm shift from a reactive approach (banning AI) to a proactive one (AI stewardship), with policy recommendations such as a mandatory AI literacy curriculum, national faculty training, and triple-helix collaboration. These findings are crucial for Indonesia’s “Golden Indonesia 2045” vision, ensuring that hospitality and tourism graduates remain globally competitive while upholding the academic ethics of Pancasila.

Abstract

This research explores the utilisation of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies in education through a comprehensive review. VR and AR technologies offer innovative ways to create immersive and interactive learning experiences, enabling students to better understand complex concepts. The study identifies key benefits of VR and AR in education, including increased student engagement and motivation, as well as the provision of practical, real-life learning environments that are difficult to achieve with traditional methods. However, the study also highlights significant challenges that need to be overcome, such as high costs, technical infrastructure needs, and specialised training requirements for educators. Thus, the conclusions of this study emphasise the importance of careful planning and proper support to maximise the potential of VR and AR as transformational tools in education.

Abstract

This article analyses the transformation of digital literacy-based language learning through the role of technology and artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing students’ language competencies in the era of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. Using a descriptive-analytical literature review approach, it was found that digital literacy is revolutionising the learning paradigm from teacher-centred to student-centred through interactive media such as e-books, collaborative platforms, and problem-based projects that holistically hone the four language skills. AI technology, through chatbots, speech recognition, and automated writing evaluation, provides adaptive learning, instant feedback, and gamification that boosts motivation and learning efficiency by up to 40%, despite facing challenges such as the digital divide, teacher competence, and academic ethics. This transformation supports the vision of the Pancasila Student Profile towards the golden generation of 2045, with recommendations for digital pedagogy training, equitable infrastructure, and strict AI regulations.
