Abstract

The distribution of zakat (masharif al-zaká) is an important factor as an indicator of the optimal function of zakat. In addition to the qur’an, the zakat distribution mechanism should be based on valid traditions as references in its management. This study aims to analyze the distribution of zakat in the review of maudhu'iy hadith. The method used is a thematic approach (al-hadith al-maudhu'i). The result of the research shows that the hadith that is being discussed is categorized as hasan lighairihi hadith, where the origin is dha'if but has reinforcement from other lines so that it is elevated to hasan lighairihi. In addition, the contents of the prophet's hadiths regarding mashârif al-zakât which are discussed do not contradict the verses of the qur’an, because they have the same meaning regarding the eight asnaf who are entitled to receive zakat.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the number of customers and the inflation rate on rahn (pawn) financing at the Sharia Pawnshop, Sharia Service Unit (UPS) Agus Salim, Gorontalo City, by incorporating a COVID-19 pandemic dummy variable to distinguish between conditions during and after the pandemic. This quantitative study uses secondary data sourced from Sharia Pawnshop's internal reports and the Central Statistics Agency for the period 2019-2024. The sample consisted of 72 months of observations. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with a dummy variable as a control variable, along with classical assumption tests, utilizing EViews version 13. The results indicate that, partially, neither the number of customers nor the inflation rate has a significant effect on rahn financing. However, simultaneously, both variables have a significant combined effect. Furthermore, a significant difference exists between the pandemic and post-pandemic periods, with the distribution of rahn financing increasing in the post-pandemic period.

Abstract

Aloe vera (Aloe Vera L.) is a plant which commonly used by local people as moisturizer. The usage of aloe vera can be applied in form of peeled off gel mask with polyvinyl alcohol as gelling agent. The goal of this research is to determine the influence of increase of polyvinyl alcohol as gelling agent to the formulation of peeled off mask from aloe vera juice. The formulation was made in a few concentration, 10%, 12%, and 14% by adding 0,5% of aloe vera juice. After that, the formulation evaluated for 4 weeks about the organoleptics, homogenity, pH, drying time and viscosity. The date of pH test and drying time analyzed by using one way ANOVA statistically and then followed by Tukey HSD test and the viscosity analyzed by using Kruskall Wallis statistically which result in the significantcy less than 0,05 that mean there are difference in drying time and viscosity, on the other hand there is no difference in pH.

Abstract

Labor absorption and government expenditure were closely related to the agricultural sector's gross regional domestic product (GRDP). This research aimed to analyze the influence of labor and government expenditure on GRDP in the agricultural sector in eastern Indonesia in 2017–2021. This research used a multiple linear regression analysis approach for panel data with a fixed effect model (FEM). The data used in this research were secondary data obtained from Statistics Indonesia and the Directorate General of Financial Balance (DJPK) of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, obtained from 13 provinces in Indonesia. The results of this research indicated that (1) labor in the agricultural sector possessed a positive and insignificant effect on GRDP in the agricultural sector, meaning that every one percent increase in labor in the agricultural sector could increase GRDP in the agricultural sector in eastern Indonesia, but labor in the agricultural sector was not yet able to explain in real terms; (2) government spending in the agricultural sector possessed a positive and significant effect on the GDP of the agricultural sector, meaning that for every one Rupiah increase in government spending in the agricultural sector could increase the GDP value of the agricultural sector. This study provides practical implications for the government as a policymaker regarding labor and expenditure, especially in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Productive zakat serves as an empowerment instrument for mustahik at BAZNAS Kota Gorontalo, yet the implementation of accountability and transparency at the recipient level remains challenging. This qualitative descriptive study employs a simple success ratio approach to analyze these principles among five micro-entrepreneur mustahik. Results indicate an accountability ratio of 70% (adequate, strong in fund trustworthiness but weak in administrative recording) and transparency ratio of 100% (excellent, achieved through relational and verbal openness). Grounded in Shariah Enterprise Theory, the vertical dimension (to Allah) is robust, while the horizontal dimension (to the institution) requires strengthening. Findings imply the need for basic financial literacy training and sustained light-touch mentoring to enhance program effectiveness.
