Abstract

WHO has declared Covid-19 to be a global pandemic that has occurred in many countries around the world. Clean and healthy living behavior is the key to preventing the transmission of Covid-19. PHBS consists of hand washing, consumption of healthy food, exercise and adequate rest. Adequate rest can be obtained through healthy sleep (Sleep Hygiene). Healthy sleep education is also one of the interventions in fatigue management that is useful for improving the ability to move. Based on the above, the authors are interested in doing community service in the form of healthy sleep counseling or Sleep Hygiene. The purpose of this counseling is to increase public knowledge about healthy sleep. Counseling was given to 35 people in the community. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that there was an increase in public knowledge about healthy sleep from before and after being given counseling. The median knowledge of the community before counseling was 16.00 with a minimum value of 5 and a maximum of 15. The median knowledge after counseling was 19 with a minimum value of 16 and a maximum of 20. Based on this, promotive and preventive efforts to reduce fatigue and improve functional status must continue to be carried out so that endurance the body of the community is maintained and protected from the disease covid-19.

Abstract

Covid-19 has been declared a global pandemic Anxiety is a problem that often arises in patients treated at healthcare centers or hospitals. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors related to anxiety in facing societal stigma in Covid-19 patients in the Covid-19 Isolation Room of RSD Mangusada. This research method is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design conducted in the Covid-19 Isolation Room of RSD Mangusada in March-May 2021. The sampling technique was determined using consecutive sampling with a sample of 256 respondents. The Ordinary Logistic Regression test was used to determine the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable and to determine the most influential variable. The results showed that the age variable was the most influential on anxiety with a p-value of 0.049, OR=2.25, which means respondents aged 17-25 years can increase the risk of anxiety by 2.25 times compared to respondents who are adults and the elderly. Age, comorbid status, coping responses, disease-related information, and family support are factors related to patient anxiety in dealing with community stigma in Covid-19 patients at Mangusada Hospital. The involvement of all parties is absolutely necessary for dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Masih tingginya angka kejadian anemia bagi remaja putri, dimana salah satunya disebabkan karena kurangnya pengetahuan tentang anemia serta asupan sumber zat besi yang belum mencukupi. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah melalui program sekolah Cantik Remaja Putri. Kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader remaja dalam memberikan pelayanan kesehatan pada sesama teman dan remaja di sekolah, serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswi terkait anemia dan pengolahan bahan pangan zat besi. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kemandirian siswi dalam melakukan pencegahan anemia di tingkat sekolah. Hasil kegiatan ini berupa terbentuknya kader remaja, meningkatkanya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kader dalam melakukan pencegahan anemia, serta meningkatnya pengetahuan siswi terkait anemia dan cara pengolahan bahan pangan zat besi. Kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan kemandirian khususnya kesehatan remaja dalam melakukan pencegahan anemia. Kata Kunci: Kesehatan Remaja, Anemia, Program Sekolah Cantik  ABSTRACT The incidence of anemia in young women is still high, one of which is due to a lack of knowledge about anemia and inadequate intake of iron sources. The solution offered is through program “Sekolah CANTIK Remaja Putri”. This program is able to increase the knowledge and skills of teenage cadres in providing health services for their friend at school as well as increasing the knowledge and skills of female students regarding anemia and processing iron foods. Through this activity, it is hoped that it will be able to increase female students indepence in preventing anemia at school level. The results of this activity are the formation of youth cadres, increasing the knowledge and skills of cadres in preventing anemia, as well as increasing female students knowledge regarding anemia and how to procress iron foods. Abstract

Introduction: Suboptimal discharge planning is a global issue that contributes to high patient readmission rates and increases the burden on healthcare systems. Effective discharge planning is essential to ensure the continuity of patient care after leaving the hospital, including follow-up care and maintaining the patient's health status. The purpose of this literature review is to identify the factors affecting the implementation of discharge planning by nurses in inpatient wards. Methods: This study employed a literature review design. Articles were selected according to the PRISMA guidelines. Inclusion criteria were established to ensure the selection of eligible articles: publications between 2017 and 2024, written in English or Indonesian. The literature review was conducted using three journal databases: ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Keywords were adjusted to align with the Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) terms, including “influencing factors,” “discharge planning,” “discharge planning implementation by nurses,” and “hospitalization room.” Results: A total of 17 articles were reviewed. Overall, eight factors were identified as influencing the implementation of discharge planning by nurses in inpatient wards. These factors include knowledge, attitude, motivation, personnel, involvement and participation, communication, time, and agreements and consensus. Conclusion: The factors influencing the implementation of discharge planning include medical staff, involvement and participation, communication, time, agreements, consensus, knowledge, attitude, and motivation. These factors are interconnected and significantly impact the quality of discharge planning, ultimately affecting patient satisfaction and health outcomes after discharge.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Masih tingginya angka kejadian stunting, dimana salah satunya disebabkan masih kurangnya kemampuan kader untuk melakukan pemeriksaan tumbuh kembang serta asupan sumber nutrisi bagi anak yang kurang seimbang. Solusi yang ditawarkan adalah melalui program TAMASYA bersama SI KEMBANG. Kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader dalam melakukan pemeriksaan tumbuh kembang yang tepat, akurat, dan berkala, serta meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kader tentang pengolahan bahan pangan tinggi zat gizi. Terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan kader dalam melakukan pemeriksaan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan, meningkatnya kemampuan kader untuk menggunakan aplikasi SI KEMBANG yang membantu proses dokumentasi secara berkala, serta meningkatnya pengetahuan kader terkait cara pengolahan bahan pangan tinggi zat gizi. Kegiatan ini mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan dan kemandirian kader sebagai bagian dari upaya pencegahan stunting. Kata Kunci: Tamasya, Si Kembang, Cegah Stunting ABSTRACT The high incidence of stunting is partly due to the lack of cadres' ability to conduct growth and development checks and the unbalanced nutritional intake of children. The solution offered is the program named “TAMASYA with SI KEMBANG”. This activity is able to improve the knowledge and skills of cadres in conducting appropriate, accurate and regular growth and development checks, as well as improving the knowledge and skills of cadres regarding the processing of high-nutrient food ingredients. There was an increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres in conducting growth and development checks, an increase in the ability of cadres to use the SI KEMBANG application which helps with the periodic documentation process, and an increase in the knowledge of cadres regarding how to process high-nutrient food ingredients. Abstract

Background: Autism is characterized by a total withdrawal from the outside world and a complete lack of interaction with the outside world. It is a complex developmental disorder affecting behavior, resulting in deficits in communication skills, social relationships, and emotional relationships with others. Symptoms are evident before the child is three years old. Autism has been increasingly reported in recent years. However, in Indonesia, some children are still diagnosed with autism late.Purpose: This study aimed to determine factors influencing the early detection of autism.Methods: This study used a cross-sectional correlation study. The study population was parents of children with autism registered at the Bali Province Special Needs School (SLB), with a sample size of 81. Data analysis used univariate analysis (percentages and frequencies) and bivariate analysis (Chi-square test). Results: The study showed that the majority of respondents had primary/secondary education (66.7%), the majority were unemployed (55.6%), the majority had conducted regular and proper child development monitoring (82.7%), and the majority of children had received early detection for autism (53.1%). The correlation test results showed a relationship between parental education (p = 0.028), parental occupation (p = 0.028), and the number of children (p = 0.011) with early detection of autism in children.Conclusion: ore than half of the children had received early detection for autism. Early detection needs to be further enhanced through effective education about the importance of early detection for children.

Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). To anticipate the spread of this virus, government make a regulation that change the learning activity at school from offline to online. However, in mid-May 2021, with the decreasing number of Covid-19 cases, the government began preparing for direct learning activities. The aim of this study was to determine the student readiness to do direct learning. This study used descriptive correlation research using a cross sectional approach. Sampled that have been used in this study were 472 students from one college in Bali. The sampling technique used is total sampling. Data was collected using questionnaire “Learning Readiness Survey Questionnaire during The Covid-19 Pandemic”, that divided into three parts: a). Respondent characteristics, readiness to do direct learning, exposure and Covid-19 vaccine history, and medical history b). Knowledge related to Covid-19, and c). Health behavior during Covid-19 pandemic. Data that has been collected then analyzed using a descriptive test to determine the description of student readiness to do direct learning. The result from this study shows that the majority of students stated that they were ready to do direct learning (89%). Most of them also already got Covid-19 vaccine (98,5%). Majority of the students also have a good understanding regarding Covid-19 (>80%) and implemented Covid -19 prevention behaviour (>90%).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Anak disabilitas atau anak berkebutuhan khusus memiliki kondisi yang berbeda dengan anak pada umumnya, dimana dalam proses pertumbuhan atau perkembangannya secara signifikan mengalami kelainan fisik, mental-intelektual, sosial dan emosional dibandingkan dengan anak-anak lain seusianya. Kondisi khsusus tersebut menyebabkan keluarga harus mampu memberikan perawatan jangka panjang agar anak tetap dapat mempertahankan tingkat fungsionalnya serta dapat mempertahankan kemampuannya sesuai hak-hak dasar dan martabat kemanusiaanya. Salah satu yang harus dibantu adalah mempertahankan kemandirian anak disabilitas dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dasar hidupnya, seperti menjaga kebersihan tangan agar anak dapat terhindar dari berbagai macam penyakit. Namun, anak berkebutuhan khusus tidak semuanya mandiri dalam melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari seperti menjaga kebersihan tangan. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam meningkatkan kemampuan dan kemandirian melakukan cuci tangan yang benar. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan melakukan pre dan post kemampuan anak dalam mencuci tangan yang benar, penyuluhan kesehatan, demonstrasi cuci tangan dan pendampingan langsung praktik cuci tangan. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data ditemukan adanya peningkatan kemampuan kemandirian anak mencuci tangan. Sebelum diberikan intervensi hanya 5 anak dari 19 orang yang bisa mencuci tangan mandiri dengan cara yang benar dan setelah diberikan intervensi meningkat menjadi 8 orang anak mampu mencuci tangan sendiri dengan langkah yang tepat. Bedasarkan hal tersebut, kegiatan pendidikan kesehatan dan pendampingan anak berkebutuhan khusus diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian anak dalam menjaga kebersihan tangan khususnya di sekolah luar biasa (SLB). Kata Kunci: Kemandirian, Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus, Mencuci Tangan  ABSTRACT Children with disabilities or children with special needs have different conditions from children in general, where in the process of growth or development they experience significant physical, mental-intellectual, social and emotional abnormalities compared to other children their age. These special conditions mean that families must be able to provide long-term care so that children can maintain their functional level and maintain their abilities in accordance with their basic rights and human dignity. One thing that must be helped is maintaining the independence of children with disabilities in meeting their basic life needs, such as keeping their hands clean so that children can avoid various diseases. However, not all children with special needs are independent in carrying out daily activities such as keeping their hands clean. This Community Service aims to help children with special needs improve their ability and independence to wash their hands properly. This activity is carried out by pre- and post-testing children's ability to wash their hands properly, health education, hand-washing demonstrations and direct assistance in hand-washing practices. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that there was an increase in children's independent ability to wash their hands. Before being given the intervention, only 5 children out of 19 were able to wash their hands independently in the correct way and after being given the intervention this increased to 8 children who were able to wash their own hands using the correct steps. Based on this, health education activities and assistance for children with special needs are needed to increase children's independence in maintaining hand hygiene, especially in special schools. Keywords: Ability, Children with Special Needs, Washing Hands

Abstract

ABSTRACT Child with special needs in a family can affect the normal life of parents both physically, psychologically, socially and environmentally. This condition will affect the quality of life of parents. Optimizing the development of children with special needs depends on the parent’s quality of life.  This study aims to describe the parent’s quality of life as care givers in caring for children with special needs. Research. The design used in this research is descriptive analytical cross sectional. The research was conducted in January 2023 at SLB No. 1 and 3 Denpasar. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The inclusion criteria  sample were parents of children with special needs who were actively attending school at SLB No. 1 and 3 Denpasar and were willing to fill out the questionnaire completely. The instrument used was the WHO Quality of Life Questionnaire - BREF. Data were analyzed using SPSS with univariate tests (frequency and percentage). In this study data was found that as many as 1% of parents had poor quality of life, 54.6% had moderate quality of life and 43.3% had good quality of life. In this study, data was found that the majority of parents had a moderate quality of life. Parents with children with special needs must always be optimistic in caring for their children and living their lives so parents can achieve a better quality of life. A good parent’s quality of life can support children developmental optimally.  Keywords: Quality, Care Giver, Children with Special Needs  ABSTRAK kehadiran anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam keluarga dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan normal dari orang tua baik dari segi fisik, psikologis, sosial dan lingkungannya. Kondisi ini akan mempengaruhi kualitas hidup orang tua. Optimalisasi perkembangan anak berkebutuhan khusus bergantung dari kualitas hidup yang dijalani orang tua. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kualitas hidup orang tua sebagai care giver dalam merawat anak berkebutuhan khusus.  Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan bulan Januari 2023 di SAL No1 dan 3 denpasar. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Kriteria inklusi sampel yaitu orang tua dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus yang aktif bersekolah di SLB No 1 dan 3 Denpasar dan bersedia mengisi kuesioner dengan lengkap. Instrumen yang digunakan Kuesioner WHO Quality of Life -BREF.Data dianalisis dengan SPSS dengan uji univariat (frekuensi dan prosentase). Pada penelitian ini ditemukan data bahwa sebanyak 1% orang tua memiliki kualitas hidup buruk, 54,6% dengan kualitas hidup sedang dan 43,3% dengan kualitas hidup baik. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan data bahwa sebagian besar orang tua memiliki kualitas hidup sedang.  Orang tua dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus harus selalu optimis dalam merawat anak dan menjalani kehidupan sehingga kualitas hidup yang lebih baik dapat tercapai. Kualitas hidup yang baik dari orang tua akan memberikan dampak perkembangan yang baik terhadap anak. Kata Kunci: Kualitas, Care Giver, Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus
