Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning   model on the writing skills of procedural texts of grade IV students of SDN 5 Rasau Jaya. The research method used is a quantitative method with the design used, namely One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The independent variable (X) in this study is the Project Based Learning model, while the dependent variable (Y) is the skill of writing procedure texts. The population included in this study is grade IV students at Sekolah SD Negeri 5 Rasau Jaya. The sample in this study was class IV B students totaling 19 people, consisting of 12 male students and 7 female students. The technique used to determine the class for this study is purposive sampling or purposeful samples. The data collection instruments used in this study were observation sheets and procedure text writing skills assessment sheets. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the difference in the average pretest score in this study was 64.14 while the average posttest score was 72,68. Hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon Test, because based on the results of the Normality Test the data obtained are abnormally distributed. The result of the Wilcoxon Test is 0.00 which means that the significant level states that the is accepted. Abstract

This study aims to determine the literal reading comprehension skills of grade V students of SD Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya. The research method used is qualitative method with descriptive qualitative approach. The population included in this study is grade V students at Sekolah SD Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya. The sample in this study was class V A students totaling 27 people, consisting of 15 male students and 12 female students. The technique used for classroom research is the test method. The data collection instruments used in this study were question sheets and literacy comprehension reading skills assessment sheets. Based on the results of data analysis that researchers have done, the results of literal comprehension reading skills in high grades of SD Negeri 1 Rasau Jaya using the test method, namely, 1) the main idea aspect obtained an average score of 74.07 and an average success percentage score of 74%, 2) the supporting idea aspect obtained an average score of 30.37 and an average success percentage score of 30%, 3) the aspect of understanding information (5W+1H) obtained an average score of 79.62% and an average success percentage score of 79%.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and analyze the views and perceptions of teachers related to the reading learning process at the initial level in grade I elementary school. The research method used was a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with a number of grade I teachers in both elementary schools, namely at SD Negeri 51 Sungai Raya and SD Negeri 01 Sungai Raya. The results showed that teacher perception has a significant role in directing reading learning approaches and strategies. These findings reveal diverse views on the use of methods, teaching materials, and challenges faced in teaching beginning reading. By analyzing the teacher's perspective, this study provides insight into the factors that influence the effectiveness of reading learning in the early stages of Education. This research has practical implications for curriculum development and teacher training, with the aim of improving the quality of reading learning in grade I elementary school. The results of this study can be a valuable source of information for education practitioners in supporting the development of reading skills in early childhood. By exploring their perceptions, this thesis provides valuable insights for the development of more effective learning methods. The results of this study are expected to provide guidance to education practitioners in improving the quality of reading learning at the beginning level, so that the contribution to children's literacy skills can be more optimal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis koherensi kalimat dalam makalah ilmiah yang ditulis oleh mahasiswa Program Studi Teknik Sipil, Universitas Tanjungpura, dengan tujuan untuk memahami pentingnya koherensi dalam menjaga kelogisan dan keterpaduan wacana akademik. Koherensi merupakan aspek krusial dalam penyusunan teks ilmiah, yang memastikan hubungan antarkalimat tersusun secara logis, sehingga memudahkan pemahaman pembaca. Dalam penelitian ini, 100 kalimat majemuk dari tiga makalah mahasiswa dianalisis untuk mengevaluasi penerapan koherensi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa 65 kalimat memiliki koherensi yang baik, sementara 35 kalimat lainnya menunjukkan ketidakkoherensian. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa ketidakkoherensian kalimat terutama disebabkan oleh kesalahan dalam penggunaan konjungsi dan hubungan makna antara klausa. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya perhatian khusus dalam pelatihan penulisan akademik, terutama pada pemahaman dan penerapan alat kohesi yang tepat. Penelitian ini juga menyarankan agar pengajaran koherensi kalimat lebih difokuskan dalam kurikulum pengajaran bahasa di tingkat perguruan tinggi untuk meningkatkan kualitas karya ilmiah mahasiswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan pendekatan yang lebih mendalam, baik secara kualitatif maupun kuantitatif, untuk menganalisis aspek koherensi dalam tulisan ilmiah di masa depan.
