Abstract

Students' academic ability can be improved through integrated learning activities of physical activity and actual gameplay. However, many teachers still have difficulties implementing it in physical education learning. The study investigates the effectiveness of the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGfU) model, implemented through modified Kasti games, in enhancing game understanding among elementary students. Conducted as a pre-experimental study with a one-group pretest-posttest design, it involved 48 fifth-grade students in West Kalimantan, Indonesia. The intervention spanned five sessions and assessed game understanding through the Games Understanding Assessment Instrument (GPAI), focusing on decision-making, skill execution, and covering. Results showed a significant improvement in post-test and post-test scores, with marked progress in each assessed component. The study highlights TGfU's potential in fostering tactical and cognitive skills in physical education for young learners, suggesting that traditional games adapted within this model offer a culturally relevant and effective approach to increasing students' engagement and understanding. Limitations include the absence of a control group and a small sample size, recommending further research to confirm these findings in diverse educational settings.

Abstract

Penggunaan plastik telah hampir ke seluruh bidang indonesia. Berbagai produk dan peralatan di hasilkan dari bahan ini karena di nilai lebih ekonomis,tidak mudah pecah,fleksibel,dan ringan.salah satu produk yang sering di gunakan masyarakat yaitu kantong plastik,terutama di Desa Bangket Parak ini penggunaan sampah plastik sangat banyak,dengan bertambahnya sampah yang di hasilkan oleh masyarakat dapat menyebabkan lingkungan kotor terutama di Desa Bangket Parak. Oleh karena itu, tim KKN-T kelompok 39 telah menemukan cara untuk mengurangi dampak dari penggunaan sampah plastik yaitu melakukan progran 3R (reduce,re-use,dan recicle).prongram ini memerlukan sedikit  kreatifitas terutama dalam hal recycle (daur ulang).Tim KKN-T kelompok 39 mengsosialisasikan kepada  masyarakat untuk mengenalkan pembuatan bak sampah dari bahan ecobriks.dengan pemamfaatan sampah plastik terutama botol plastik dapat membatu masyarakat untuk mengurangi sampah plastik dan dapat menambah wawasan masyarakat berkreatifitas lebih tinggi bahwa dari bahan sampah terutama botol plastil dapat membuat kerajinan bermutu tinggi salah satunya pembuatan bak sampah dari bahan ecobriks yang ramah lingkungan. Mahasiswa KKN-T kelompok 39 berharap agar masyarakat Desa Bangket Parak dapat mengetahui bahwa sampah plastik dapat bermamfaat dan bernilai mutuh tinggi dengan membuat kerajinan seperti pembuatan bak sampah dari bahan ekobriks yang dapat membantu masyarakat untuk mengatasi sampah yang berserahkan terutama botol plastik.

Abstract

Background: High-intensity exercise induces distinct cardiovascular responses, but systematic comparisons between trained and untrained individuals remain limited. Objective: The primary objective of this study was to compare cardiovascular responses to HIIT specifically heart rate, blood pressure, and blood lactate levels and to identify factors influencing these differences. Methods: A systematic literature review following the PRISMA framework was conducted for this study. The initial search on the Scopus database using keywords such as “High-Intensity Exercise,” “Cardiac Output,” “Trained,” and “Untrained” yielded 380 articles. After a rigorous screening process, which applied strict inclusion and exclusion criteria including the requirement that articles be published in Q1-Q4 ranked journals between 2014 and 2024 a final set of 10 primary articles was selected for in-depth analysis. Findings/Results: High Intensity Interval Training effectively improves cardiovascular function in both trained and untrained individuals. Significant increases in cardiac output and VO₂ max are observed, particularly in trained cyclists. While untrained individuals also benefit, superior cardiovascular adaptations are seen in those who are trained. Furthermore, HIIT is proven to be safe; it does not increase the risk of cardiovascular dysfunction and even has a cardioprotective effect, demonstrated by an increase in cardiac ejection fraction. Conclusion: This review provides the first systematic synthesis comparing cardiovascular responses to high-intensity exercise between trained and untrained individuals. The findings highlight the importance of training status in exercise prescription and offer practical insights for coaches and health practitioners in optimizing high-intensity training programs.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of athletes and coaches in managing nutritional strategies based on extra food loading to support the performance and recovery of athletes in leading martial arts in Mataram City. The background of this activity is the low practical understanding of the importance of structured nutritional intake in supporting physical abilities, endurance, and physiological adaptation of athletes, especially female athletes who face hormonal challenges, menstrual cycles, and the risk of Female Athlete Triad (FAT). The implementation of this activity was carried out through an educational approach that included training, nutritional consultations, and demonstrations of post-exercise nutritional interventions. The material presented covered the importance of proper nutritional intake, such as high-quality protein, vitamin D, and iron, as well as the implementation of energy recovery strategies after intensive training. The method used was a Focus Group Discussion (FGD), which involved athletes and coaches to dig deeper into the challenges faced in terms of fulfilling nutritional needs and understanding the influence of physiological cycles on the performance of female athletes, especially female athletes who face the risk of Female Athlete Triad (FAT). The results of this activity showed an increase in the understanding of coaches and athletes regarding specific nutritional needs, as well as the implementation of extra food loading strategies to maximize performance and recovery. This program not only provides short-term benefits in the form of increased knowledge but also builds collective awareness of the importance of nutritional literacy in athlete development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and cardiovascular fitness levels among students at SMP IT Darul Wahdah Gerung in 2025. This study used a quantitative method with a correlational design. Data collection techniques were carried out by measuring body weight and height to determine BMI values, as well as the 12-minute Cooper test to measure students' cardiovascular fitness levels. Data analysis used Pearson's correlation test. The results showed that: 1) There was a significant relationship between Body Mass Index (BMI) and the cardiovascular fitness level of students, as evidenced by a correlation coefficient of -0.689 and a significance value of 0.005 (p < 0.05), so H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. 2) The negative correlation coefficient value indicates a significant negative relationship, which means that the higher the students' BMI, the lower their cardiovascular fitness level, and vice versa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui status gizi, Tingkat asupan gizi, dan Tingkat asupan gizi siswa sudah sesuai dengan kebutuhan energi dan zat gizi harian pada siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMAN 1 Gunung Sari. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskripsi kualitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 103 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan Form Pencatatan Konsumsi Makanan Dan Minuman (Recall 24 Jam) untuk mengukur asupan gizi siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa; 1) Status Gizi siswa yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler Musik, Parkibraka, Palang Merah Remaja, Voli, Sepak Bola di SMAN 1 Gunung Sari 92% normal, 4% kurus ringan dan 4% kurus berat. 2) Konsumsi gizi siswa masih kurang dan 3) Tingkat Angka Kecukupan Gizi (AKG) berupa gizi makro diantaranya energi, protein, lemak dan karbohidrat pada siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler (Musik, Paskibraka, Palang Merah Remaja, Bola Voli, & Sepak Bola) di SMAN 1 Gunung Sari dibandingkan dengan kebutuhan asupan gizi siswa menunjukkan 95% (98 siswa) kategori defisit berat dan 5% (5 siswa) kategori defisit sedang.

Abstract

Mitra dalam kegiatan ini menghadapi keterbatasan dalam mengimplementasikan analisis bibliometrik, terutama dalam hal penggunaan alat seperti Scopus dan VOSviewer untuk menganalisis publikasi ilmiah, visualisasi jaringan sitasi, dan penyusunan artikel berbasis data bibliometrik. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, kami melakukan pelatihan berbasis aplikasi Scopus dan VOSviewer, yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknis peserta dalam menganalisis tren publikasi dan kolaborasi riset. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pemahaman peserta dalam mengintegrasikan analisis bibliometrik ke dalam artikel ilmiah yang sesuai dengan standar jurnal terakreditasi. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa 80% peserta berhasil menginstal dan menggunakan VOSviewer dengan efektif, sementara 75% peserta mampu mengunduh data bibliografis dari Scopus dengan benar. Meskipun demikian, 60% peserta masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menginterpretasi hasil analisis, dan hanya 50% yang dapat menyusun artikel sesuai dengan standar jurnal terakreditasi. Pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas peserta dalam menggunakan alat analisis bibliometrik, meskipun diperlukan pelatihan lanjutan untuk memperdalam pemahaman dalam penyusunan artikel ilmiah. Kegiatan ini merupakan pelatihan/pengabdian, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan praktis peserta dalam bidang penelitian ilmiah. Training on Bibliometric Analysis Using the Scopus Database Application and VOSviewer for Scientific Publications Abstract The partners in this activity face limitations in implementing bibliometric analysis, particularly in the use of tools such as Scopus and VOSviewer for analyzing scientific publications, visualizing citation networks, and drafting articles based on bibliometric data. To address these issues, we conducted training based on the Scopus and VOSviewer applications, designed to enhance participants' technical skills in analyzing publication trends and research collaboration. The training aimed to strengthen participants' understanding of how to integrate bibliometric analysis into scientific articles that meet the standards of accredited journals. Evaluation results showed that 80% of participants successfully installed and used VOSviewer effectively, while 75% were able to correctly download bibliographic data from Scopus. However, 60% of participants still struggled to interpret the analysis results, and only 50% were able to draft articles that met the standards of accredited journals. The training successfully enhanced participants' capacity to use bibliometric analysis tools, although further training is needed to deepen their understanding of article writing. This activity is a training/service program, aimed at improving participants' practical skills in scientific research.

Abstract

Bulutangkis merupakan olahraga intermiten berintensitas tinggi yang menuntut kemampuan melakukan kerja eksplosif berulang dengan pemulihan cepat, sehingga daya tahan aerobik (VO₂max) menjadi komponen kunci dalam pembinaan performa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh latihan circuit training terhadap daya tahan aerobik (VO₂max) pada atlet bulutangkis Pelatda Rinjani Kabupaten Lombok Timur tahun 2025. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dan rancangan one-group pretest–posttest. Sampel berjumlah 12 atlet yang dipilih melalui purposive sampling (atlet aktif, sehat, dan rutin mengikuti program latihan). Intervensi berupa program circuit training selama 6 minggu (16 pertemuan). VO₂max diestimasi menggunakan Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) pada tahap pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan data berdistribusi normal (Shapiro–Wilk: pre-test p=0,460; post-test p=0,333). Secara deskriptif, rerata VO₂max meningkat dari 47,32±4,57 ml/kg/menit menjadi 50,28±4,27 ml/kg/menit (Δ=2,97 ml/kg/menit). Uji paired samples t-test menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara pre-test dan post-test (t=-11,826; df=11; p=0,000; 95% CI selisih: -3,519 s.d. -2,415). Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa circuit training selama 6 minggu efektif meningkatkan VO₂max pada atlet bulutangkis Pelatda Rinjani, meskipun interpretasi kausal tetap mempertimbangkan keterbatasan desain tanpa kelompok kontrol dan penggunaan estimasi VO₂max berbasis tes lapangan. The Effect of Circuit Training on Endurance (VO2Max) in Badminton Athletes at the Rinjani Regional Training Center, East Lombok Regency in 2025 Abstract Badminton is an intermittent, high-intensity racket sport that requires repeated explosive efforts with rapid recovery; therefore, aerobic endurance (VO₂max) is a key fitness component in performance development. This study aimed to determine the effect of circuit training on aerobic endurance (VO₂max) in badminton athletes of the Rinjani Regional Training Center (Pelatda Rinjani), East Lombok Regency, in 2025. A quantitative experimental approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design was employed. Twelve active and healthy athletes who consistently attended the Pelatda training program were recruited using purposive sampling. The intervention consisted of a 6-week circuit training program (16 sessions). VO₂max was estimated using the Multistage Fitness Test (MFT) administered before (pretest) and after (posttest) the intervention. Normality assumptions were met (Shapiro–Wilk: pretest p=0.460; posttest p=0.333). Descriptive results indicated that mean VO₂max increased from 47.32±4.57 ml·kg⁻¹·min⁻¹ to 50.28±4.27 ml·kg⁻¹·min⁻¹ (Δ=2.97 ml·kg⁻¹·min⁻¹). A paired-samples t-test demonstrated a statistically significant improvement from pretest to posttest (t=-11.826, df=11, p<0.001; 95% CI for the mean difference: -3.519 to -2.415). These findings suggest that a 6-week circuit training program can effectively improve VO₂max in Pelatda badminton athletes. However, causal inference should be interpreted cautiously given the absence of a control group and the use of a field-based VO₂max estimation.
