Abstract

Seaweed Gracilaria sp. is a water plant which is included into the red algae group (Rhodophyceae) which can potentially reduce the grade of metals Pb and Cu concentration. This research is aimed to know the heavy level of Pb and Cu metals which is adsorbed in seaweed Gracilaria sp. and the effect on the adsorption power of Pb and Cu metals based on variations in time of contamination. This research was done destructed by refluks destruction with resolvent HNO3: HClO4 (2:1) 15 mL. Thetime variations were 1, 2 and 3 weeks. The solvent of destruction obtained was measured by AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer). The results are the grade of Pb metal on seaweed in the initial status concentration is obtained 1,2344 mg/L, 1,2820 mg/L in the first week, 1,2642 mg/L in the second week and 2,3149 mg/L in the third week. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the grade levels of Pb Metal in seaweed Gracilaria sp. has already passed the BPOM No. 23 of 2017 standards setting is 0,20 mg/L. In the other hand, the grade levels of Cu metal on seaweed in the initial status concentration is obtained 0,0001 mg/L, 0,1579 mg/L in the first week, 0,5120 mg/L in the second week and 0.7946 mg/L in the third week. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the grade level of Cu metal on seaweed Gracilaria sp. has already passed the limit which is conditioned by BPOM No. 03275/B/SK/VII/1989 is 0,1 mg/L.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan penelitian dengan tujuan identifikasi kloramfenikol pada udang vaname (litopenaeus vannamei) menggunakan high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).Dari penelitian ini diperoleh Hasil pengujian udang vaname dari hasil budidaya tambak di Krueng Raya didapatkan senyawa kloramfenikol ditandai dengan waktu retensi sampel yaitu 0,106 menit berdekatan dengan waktu retensi standar kloramfenikol yaitu 0,110 menit. Kadar residu kloramfenikol pada udang vaname dari hasil budidaya tambak di Krueng Raya adalah sebesar 0,168 ppb dan masih berada di bawah batas deteksi yang diperbolehkan

Abstract

Essential oil is a type of oil that is produced from various parts of the plant, is a thick liquid at room temperature, and evaporates easily, giving it a distinctive aroma. One of the essential oils is used as an antibacterial compound. This study aims to measure the variation in the deposition of various types of essential oils as an inhibitor of the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This research method is a Literature Review by examining the use of various concentrations of various types of essential oils to inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. The best inhibition of growth of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria was obtained in the essential oil of basil leaves at a concentration of 4% with inhibition of 40.35 mm. Meanwhile, the lowest inhibition of growth of the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria for black fungus isolates was obtained at a concentration of 0.5% with an average inhibition zone of 1.16 mm.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan proses yang berkelanjutan dan tidak semata bertujuan untuk menghasilkan peserta didik yang memiliki kompetensi pada aspek pengetahuan namun juga memiliki kompetensi sosial serta berkarakter dalam menghadapi tantangan masa depan yang serba kompleks. Pembentukan karakter tersebut diantaranya dapat dilakukan melalui internalisasi nilai-nilai Islam pada materi yang diajarkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji nilai-nilai Islam yang dapat diinternalisasikan pada materi ikatan kimia, sehingga berperan dalam membentuk karakter yang mulia sebagai pribadi yang paripurna. Konsep unsur-unsur saling berikatan untuk memenuhi kaidah oktet atau duplet dalam mencapai kestabilan merupakan isyarat ilmiah akan kebenaran firman Allah dalam surat Az-Dzariat ayat 49. Konsep ikatan kimia ini juga mengandung pesan jika kestabilan atau ketenteraman dalam hidup ini akan lebih mudah kita peroleh dengan menjalin ikatan silaturrahim dengan sesama. Hal ini sesuai dengan hadist Nabi tentang keutamaan menjalin silaturrahim yang akan memperoleh kelapangan rezeki dan memperpanjang usia. Ikatan ion yang terbentuk akibat adanya gaya tarik menarik antara ion positif dan ion negatif memberikan isyarat bagi kita agar dapat menghargai perbedaan serta dapat menyatukan dan mengisi kelebihan dan kekurangan masing-masing menjadi sebuah potensi yang lebih baik. Adapun pemakaian pasangan elektron secara bersama baik pada ikatan kovalen maupun kovalen koordinasi mengajarkan kepada kita untuk bersikap dermawan.

Abstract

Daun kelor merupakan daun yang banyak dibudidayakan oleh masyarakat karena diyakini dapat memberikan banyak manfaat. Daun kelor bermanfaat di berbagai bidang antara lain: bidang pengawetan pangan, kesehatan, makanan, kosmetika dan kecantikan, farmasi, dan pertanian. Tujuan dari literatur ini adalah untuk menganalisis kandungan senyawa fitokimia yang terdapat pada daun kelor serta pemanfaatannya pada berbagai bidang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode review jurnal berdasarkan pengumpulan data yang dilakukan secara inklusi dan ekslusi yang didapatkan dari mesin pencarian data google scholarship baik itu jurnal nasional, textbook serta artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan diatas tahun 2015. Hasil review yang didapat adalah senyawa fitokimia yang terdapat pada daun kelor antara lain: alkaloid, terpenoid, triterpenoid, steroid, saponin, quinon, fenol, flavonoid, dan tannin. Sehingga daun kelor dapat dimanfaatkan pada berbagai bidang antara lain: Kesehatan, farmasi, pengawetan, pangan, kecantikan, pertanian, dan lain-lain.

Abstract

Carrageenan is a product produced from the extraction process of red seaweed (Rhodophyceae). Carrageenan can be used in various business fields, both in the food and non-food sectors, which function as a gelling additive, binder, emulsifier and stabilizer. The research method used is Literature Review with data collection and screening that has inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results obtained indicate that the quality characteristics and quality for water content and average gel strength have not met the established standards, while the yield value, ash content and average viscosity have met the quality standards set by FAO, FCC and EEC. . The factors that greatly affect the characteristics and quality of carrageenan from seaweed are alkaline concentration, seaweed harvesting age, temperature and extraction time as well as the type and environmental conditions where the seaweed grows.

Abstract

The study about antioxidant activity test of coffee parasite leaves (Loranthus ferrugineus Roxb.) by 1,1-diphenyl-2-pikrilhidrazyl (DPPH) method has been done. The aim of this study was to determine the content and activity of secondary metabolites, flavonoids and antioxidant, which found in the coffee parasite leaves. Dry powder of parasite coffee leaves (Loranthus ferrugineus Roxb.) as much as 0.5 kg were macerated by 2 L of ethanol solvent at room temperature for 4 x 24 hours, then mixed and filtered. Ethanol filtrate was evaporated at 30-40°C by using a rotary evaporator to obtain the crude extract of coffee parasite leaves. The results of the phytochemical screening showed positively that the extract was containing alkaloid, flavonoids, saponins, tannins and steroid compounds.The results of the antioxidant activity test by using DPPH method was obtained that the amount of antioxidant activity of the samples of ethanol extract had a very strong antioxidant activity against radical DPPH 0.05 mM, with IC50 values was obtained 6.063 ppm. Whereas, for comparison of ascorbic acid was about 3.127 ppm.

Abstract

Tendency for people to go back to nature and the government's policy to "Saintifikasi Jamu" prioritizing in degenerative diseases such as hyperglycemia, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia and hyperuricemia / gout is a condition that is highly prospective and has pushed for the development of research on medicinal plants-based biodiversity Indonesiasebagai state megabiodiversity. Results of research have shown that among the diversity of Indonesia's biodiversity as a potential inhibitor of xanthine oxidase (XO) and antigot is sidaguri (Sida rhombifolia L), celery (Apium graveolens L), fruits (Salacca R. edulis) varieties of Bangkok, ear- earrings (Acalypha indicaL.), and Bitter (Andrographis paniculata, Ness.). Ethanol extract of the herb sidaguri XO inhibitor has potential as indicated by the ability to dampen the activity of XO with IC50 values

Abstract

Based on observations at SMAN 1 Baitussalam, information was obtained that learning outcomes of students on acid-base material were still low, this was caused by the process of learning chemistry that was still teacher-centered and didn’t use specific learning models. The STEM learning model is a One learning model that can be used as  solution to this problem is the learning model of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the effect of the STEM learning model on learning outcomes and student responses, especially on the concept of acid-base in SMAN 1 Baitussalam. This study uses Quasi Experimental design, with data collected through test and questionnaires. Student test results were analyzed using SPSS Version 23.0, where the significance value obtained from the t-test analysis was 0,000<0.05 so it can be seen that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. Student responses obtained through questionnaires analyzed based on the percentage answers provided by students, the results showed that 93% responses of students were very interested in the STEM learning model. These results indicate that STEM learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in SMAN 1 Baitussalam, especially in acid-base concept.
