Abstract

Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a food crop as an energy source that is generally consumed by the Indonesian people so that demand continues to increase every year. One of the efforts to increase rice production can be done through the use of young seedlings and microbes to accelerate the process of soil fertilization. This microbe is obtained from the Mas Conch Pest which is processed into Local Microorganisms (MOL). This study aims to determine the effect of giving MOL golden snail and seedling age on the growth and production of rice. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 9 treatment combinations and 3 replications. The first factor is the MOL concentration of golden snail, consisting of: 0 ml/L concentration or control, 20 ml/L concentration, and 40 ml/L concentration. The second factor is the age of the seedlings, consisting of: 17 days after sowing), 11 days after sowing and 15 days after sowing. The results showed that the treatment with a concentration of 40 ml/l of Local Microorganisms Conch Mas (M) had a significant effect on the number of productive tillers, the number of pithy grain per panicle and production per hectare. While the age of 7 days after seedling had a significant effect on the number of pithy grain per panicle, weight of 100 grains, and production per hectare. The interaction between the MOL concentration of 20 ml/l golden snail and 7 days after sowing (M1U1) gave a significant effect on the weight of 100 grains.

Abstract

Golden snail is a snail which is commonly found in rice fields which can cause damage to rice plants. The golden snail is known as a pest of rice plants because it can damage thousands of hectares of rice seedlings at an early age in a short period of time but will be beneficial if it is managed as a microorganism. Local microorganisms are microorganisms used as starters in the manufacture of solid organic fertilizers and liquid fertilizers as well as fast growing decomposers in agricultural systems. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of local microorganisms in producing bioactivators from various amounts of different ingredients in the golden snail. This research was conducted in four locations, namely the Agronomy Laboratory of the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (manufacturing bioactivators), the Production Laboratory of the Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic (composting), and at Sucopindo (nutrient analysis). This research used three treatments including golden snail bioactivator I (A1), golden snail bioactivator II (A2), and golden snail bioactivator III (A3). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that treatment A3 (Keong Mas III Bioactivator) gave the best results for the parameters of temperature, color, odor and C-organic local microorganism (MOL) for the golden snail, while treatment A1 (Bioactivator Keong Mas I) gave the best results for the parameters Ph.

Abstract

Salah satu cara yang bisa dilakukan untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan produksi dalam budidaya tanaman padi adalah dengan mengaplikasikan kompos Jerami serta mengatur teknik pengairan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dua faktor empat ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah teknik pengaturan air yang terdiri atas 3 perlakuan yaitu diairi secara terus menerus, diairi secara berselang, diairi hanya kemalir atau macak-macak, faktor kedua dosis kompos jerami terdiri atas 4 perlakuan yaitu,4.5ton/ha, 5.0 ton/ha, 5.5 ton/ha dan 6 ton/ha, sehingga terdapat 48 unit percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan pengaturan air diairi terus-menerus menunjukkan hasil terbaik pada pengamatan tinggi tanaman pada umur 2 MST dengan tinggi tanaman 36,21cm , 8 MST tinggi tanaman 94,78cm dan 9 MST tinggi tanaman adalah 98,12cm, yang diairi hanya kemalir memberi hasil terbaik pada pengamatan jumlah anakan pada umur 4 MST berjumlah 52,69 anakan, 5 MST berjumlah 73,84 anakan dan 6 MST berjumlah 79,34 anakan ,jumlah anakan produktif 39,41 anakan dan hasil gabah kering giling per rumpun 76,73 gr. Perlakuan dosis kompos jerami 4,5 ton/ha memberikan hasil jumlah gabah per malai yaitu 138,42 gr. Perlakuan dosis kompos 6 ton/ha memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter hasil gabah kering giling per rumpun sebanyak 77,38 gr. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini pada budidaya tanaman padi disarankan menggunakan teknik pengaturan air hanya kemalir/macak-macak dan dosis kompos jerami 6 ton/ha.

Abstract

Durian is a fruit that has a distinctive aroma and bioactive compounds that are beneficial for human health. This study aimed to study the effect of various vegetative propagation techniques on the success of durian plant propagation. The research design used was a non-factorial randomized block design (RAK) with three treatments and five replications. The vegetative propagation technique using wedge grafting had a significant effect on the time of shoot emergence and the number of tillers, while insertion grafting had a significant effect on seedling height. From these three treatments, it is recommended to use shoot grafting treatment for durian plant propagation.

Abstract

Mitra pada penerapan iptek masyarakat yakni gabungan kelompok tani (gapoktan) Tani Makmur dan gapoktan Kalan Luas.   Kedua mitra adalah merupakan kelompok tani yang berada di Kelurahan Tani aman Kecamatan Loa Janan Ilir Kota Samarinda.  Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah hasil panen tanaman sayur yang kurang berkualitas karena serangan hama dan penyakit mengakibatkan banyaknya hasil panen seperti sayur-sayuran menjadi rusak sehingga menjadi kurang laku sehingga para petani mengalami penurunan pendapatan serta banyaknya lahan yang masih kosong tidak termanfaatkan karena kondisi tanah yang asam.  Kelompok tani ini memiliki keinginan kuat untuk dapat menghasilkan jenis tanaman pertanian lain yang dapat dijadikan alternatif untuk ditanam dan meningkatkan pendapatan.  Untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan mitra, metode yang digunakan adalah memberikan pengenalan dan pelatihan teknik perbanyakan tanaman secara kultur jaringan.  Teknik ini menawarkan budidaya tanaman yang cepat dalam waktu singkat, tanaman yang dihasilkan sehat, seragam dan unggul serta tidak tergantung musim. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) adalah memberikan pengenalan dan peningkatan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan metode kultur jaringan skala rumah tangga serta menjadikannya sebagai wirausaha baru yang dapat meningkatkan pendapatan.  Adapun tahapan program PkM yaitu pengenalan teknik kultur jaringan, pemberian materi dalam presentasi dan pemutaran video, diskusi, pelatihan, serta pendampingan kultur jaringan skala rumah tangga. Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama 4 bulan, dari bulan Juli-Oktober 2022 di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Program Studi Budidaya Tanaman Perkebunan Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Samarinda. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan ini ada 25 orang yang terdiri 10 orang dari gapokatan Tani Makmur dan 15 orang dari gapoktan Kalan Luas. Hasil kegiatan PkM adalah setelah mengikuti pelatihan kultur jaringan, peserta menjadi mengetahui dan mengenal teknik kultur jaringan sebagai salah satu cara memperbanyak tanaman secara modern. Keterampilan dan pengetahuan para peserta menjadi meningkat. Peserta pelatihan mempraktikan  tahapan dalam kultur jaringan yang meliputi   cara pemilihan tanaman induk, sterilisasi, pembuatan media, penanaman dan aklimatisasi.  Adanya keinginan dan antusius dari para peserta untuk  menjadikan kultur jaringan sebagai wirausaha baru.Partners in the application of community science and technology, namely the farmer group association (gapoktan) Tani Makmur and the Kalan Luas farmer group association. This farmer group strongly desires to produce other crops that can be used as alternatives to be planted and increase income. To solve partner problems, the method provides an introduction and training in plant propagation techniques by tissue culture. This technique offers fast plant cultivation in a short time; the resulting plants are healthy, uniform and superior and do not depend on the season. Community service activities aim to provide an introduction and increase in knowledge and skills in household-scale network culture methods and to make them new entrepreneurs who can increase their income. The stages of the PKM program are an introduction to tissue culture techniques, provision of material in presentations and video screenings, discussions, training and household scale tissue culture assistance. This activity was carried out for four months, from July to October 2022, at the Tissue Culture Laboratory of the Plantation Plant Cultivation Study Program, Samarinda State Agricultural Polytechnic. The number of participants who participated in this training was 25 people consisting of 10 people from the Tani Makmur Gapokatan and 15 from the Kalan Luas Gapoktan. The results of the PKM activities were that after participating in tissue culture training, the participants learned and recognized tissue culture techniques to reproduce plants in a modern way. The skills and knowledge of the participants increased. The training participants practised the stages of tissue culture, which included selecting mother plants, sterilizing, making media, and planting and acclimatizing. There is a desire and enthusiasm from the participants to make network culture a new entrepreneur.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi banyaknya limbah ampas tahu yang tidak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat hannya sebagai limbah yang terbuang, dengan adanya penelitian ini mencoba menggunakan bioaktivator mikroorganisme nasi basi sebagai bahan fermentasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1).Mengamati sifat fisik pembuatan pupuk organik padat (Kompos). 2).Menganalisa kandungan unsur hara pupuk organik padat N, P, K, C-organik, C/N Rasio dan pH. 3).Membandingkan hasil unsur hara Standar Mutu Pupuk Organik padat Peraturan Menteri Pertanian syarat kompos nomor 261/Permentan/SR.310/4/2019SNI 2019. 4).Penghitungan lama waktu jadinya pupuk organik padat dari limbah ampas tahu. Dari hasil penelitian ini Sifat fisik pupuk organik padat setelah matang adalah: suhu mencapai 26◦C, terjadi perubahan warna yang awalnya putih berubah menjadi coklat tua serta tidak beraroma menyerupai warna tanah. Hasil analisis kandungan unsur hara makro untuk perlakuan T1 adalah sebesar N 2.123 %, C-Organik 41.768, C/N rasio 19.675 % pH.5.69 dan Unsur hara perlakuan T2 yaitu C-Organik 44.304, C/N rasio 23.344% dan pH.5.78, sudah memenuhi Standar Mutu Pupuk Organik padat Peraturan Menteri Pertanian syarat kompos nomor 261/Permentan/SR.310/4/2019, sedangkan unsur hara perlakuan T1 yaitu P 0.034 %, K 0.033 %, dan unsur hara perlakuan T2 yaitu N 1.898 %, P 0.029 %, K 0.019 % belum memenuhi standar Permentan pupuk kompos padat nomor 261/Permentan/SR.310/4/2019. Lama waktu proses pembuatan pupuk organik padat limbah ampas tahu T2 matang di hari ke-15 lebih cepat dari T1 yang matang di hari ke-18.

Abstract

Partners in the application of community science and technology consisted of 10 farmers. The farmland is located in Simpang Pasir Village, Palaran District, Samarinda City. The problem faced by the partners is the poor quality of banana crops due to pest and disease attacks, resulting in many crops being damaged and less marketable as a result of reduced farmer income. The solution to this problem is to use plant tissue culture technology and utilize banana waste into compost. The purpose of community service activities is to provide knowledge about tissue culture cultivation and acclimatization as well as utilizing banana waste into planting media and compost. This activity was carried out from August to October 2023. The place of activity is in the nursery and farmland of farmers in Simpang Pasir Village, Palaran District, Samarinda City. The method used to solve partner problems is to provide an introduction and knowledge of plant propagation techniques in tissue culture, training in acclimatization of horticultural plant. Acclimatization is a critical stage in tissue culture so it requires knowledge and accuracy in its implementation so that plants grow well. The stages of the PKM program are the introduction of tissue culture techniques, providing material in presentations and video screenings. Training and assistance on how to acclimatize. The activity went well and smoothly with the enthusiastic welcome of the participants who participated in this activity and intended to practice it themselves in the field.

Abstract

Program Studi Budidaya Tanaman Perkebunan merupakan Program Studi yang perperan dalam ilmu pertanian dan perkebunan. Untuk itu salah satunya melakukan kegiatan pengbdian kepada masyarakat dengan melakukan kegiatan pelatihan teknik budidaya tanaman hias caladium untuk pemberdayaan green ekonomi pendapatan kelompok dasawisma masyarakat gotong royong samarinda seberng Kalimantan Timur. Tanaman hias caladium termasuk ke dalam kelompok hortikultura, yang memiliki daya tarik secara visual. Perbanyakan tanaman hias caladium secara vegetatif dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan bagian tanaman seperti cabang, ranting, pucuk, daun, umbi dan akar untuk menghasilkan tanaman baru yang identik dengan induknya. Penerapan teknologi perbanyakan tanaman hias akan menambah jumlah produk pertanian, menambah kemandirian dalam pembibitan tanaman hias, menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan bagi warga dasawisma masyarakat gotong royong sebagai mitra untuk meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Dengan adanya kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat dari Politani Samarinda sebagai wadah pebelajaran warga daswisma untuk dapat menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan khususnya ibu-ibu dan remaja putri warga masyarakat gotong royong. Melalui pengabdian ini dapat mentransfer teknologi perbanyakan tanaman hias caladium, sehingga masyarakat dapat terampil dalam memperbanyak tanaman hias secara mudah dan cepat serta mampu mengusai cara pemasaran secara langsung maupun secara online. Dengan media online facebook, Whatsap dan melaui web kelompok dasawisma warga gotong royong nantinya mampu melakukan penjualan sendiri.

Abstract

The problem of narrow land is a problem that is often experienced by people in densely populated settlements, including Karang Asam Ulu Village which is a community service partner. Limited land makes it difficult to develop crop and fish cultivation, so it cannot meet family food needs. Cultivation in buckets (Budikdamber) is the right solution to overcome limited land because it does not require large areas for vegetable and fish cultivation. The purpose of this service is to provide community knowledge and skills to the Dasawisma group of Karang Asam Ulu Urban Village RT 024, Sungai Kunjang Subdistrict, Samarinda City in utilizing yard land to be used as Budikdamber. The stages of implementation began with a field survey and then continued with a focus group discussion (FGD) to explore information and problem-solving. The results of the FGD were followed by socialization and practice in making Budikdamber. Every activity is monitored and evaluated to assess the success of the program. From the training results, it was found that the Dasawisma of Karang Asam Ulu Village already knew how to make a Budikdamber.

Abstract

Community service is an important activity in increasing community capacity and welfare. In an effort to support sustainable agriculture, training on making liquid organic fertilizer (POC) with high nitrogen content aims to provide knowledge and skills to the community to use organic waste as a basic ingredient for fertilizer. Liquid organic fertilizer which has a high nitrogen content plays an important role in increasing soil fertility and plant productivity without damaging the environment. This training includes an introduction to organic materials that are easily available and available nearby, fermentation techniques, as well as methods for making appropriate POC to produce fertilizer with high nitrogen levels. This training also explained the ecological and economic benefits of using liquid organic fertilizer compared to synthetic chemical fertilizer. Training participants are taught from basic theory to practical application, so they can apply this knowledge to plants. With this training, it is hoped that the community can increase agricultural productivity, reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers, and create a friendlier and more sustainable environment.
