Abstract

Central Sulawesi has a diverse diversity of ichthyofauna. Gobies are one type of fish abundant in fresh water and can be found from the upstream to the downstream of the river. The abundance and information on the types of gobies are still limited in several rivers in Central Sulawesi. Tolitoli Regency is one of the areas that still has minimal information on the diversity of gobies, so it is necessary to research collecting gobies in the watershed in Tolitoli Regency. The research was conducted from July 2020 to December 2020 in the watershed of Baolan District (Dadakitan Village, Buntuna Village, and Tambun Village), Tolitoli, Central Sulawesi. The sampling locations in the watershed are divided into 3 parts, namely the upstream, middle, and downstream. Gobies were collected using the pore sampling method by preparing eight observation stations. Specimens were collected using nets (size 20 x 20 cm) with the method of catching against the current. The caught fish were kept in a mini aquarium and then documented using a digital camera. Furthermore, the fish were preserved using 70% alcohol for identification. The results of the study showed that the collection of goby fish in the Tolitoli watershed, Central Sulawesi, was found to be 408 individuals consisting of 4 families (Butidae, Eleotridae, Gobiidae, Oxudercidae), 12 genera (Butis, Oxyeleotris, Belobranchus, Eleotris, Giuris, Redigobius, Awaous, Lentipes, Stiphodon, Sicyopus, Sicyopterus), and 16 species (Butis sp., Redigobius sp., Sicyopterus sp., Stiphodon semoni, Stiphodon sp., Awaous sp., Belobranchus sp., Schismatogobius sp.1, Schismatogobius sp.2, Eleotris fusca, Oxyeleotris sp., Giuris sp., Sicyopus zosterophorus, Sicyopus sp.1, Sicyopus sp.2, Lentipes sp.). The highest abundance of goby fish species in the Tolitoli Watershed is Stiphodon semoni (47,79%).  Keywords: Amphidromus, sustainability, aquatic organisms.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perubahan warna ikan guppy (Poecilia reticulat) yang dilakukan di wadah berukuran kecil dengan kapasitas 5 liter sebanyak 12 buah. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan RAL (Rancangan acak lengkap) dengan empat perlakuan di ulang sebanyak tiga kali yaitu P0 (Perlakuan control), P1 (Perlakuan menggunakan tepung kepala udang dosis 10%), P2 (Perlakuan menggunakan tepung kepala udang dosis 15%), dan P3 (Perlakuan menggunakan tepung kepala udang dosis 20%). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dari bulan Januari – Maret 2024. Yang berlokasi di LAB basah Perikanan Universitas Madako. Hasil penelitian selama 40 hari menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan warna merah jingga pada ikan guppy, peningkatan warna tertinggi terjadi pada perlakuan tepung kepala udang 10%, selanjutnya di ikuti dengan perlakuan tepung kepala udang 15%, perlakuan tepung kepala udang 20%, terjadi peningkatan warna yang berbeda-beda dalam setiap perlakuan disebabkan karena ikan memiliki tingkat penyerapan yang berbeda-beda terhadap jenis pigmen warna dan dosis yang diberikan.

Abstract

Desa Laulalang, yang terletak di pesisir Kecamatan Tolitoli Utara, Kabupaten Tolitoli, Sulawesi Tengah, merupakan wilayah dengan ketergantungan tinggi pada sektor perikanan tangkap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis dan karakteristik alat tangkap ikan yang digunakan oleh masyarakat nelayan setempat, serta menganalisis relevansinya terhadap aspek ekonomi dan ekologi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam dengan nelayan aktif, yang dipilih secara purposive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nelayan di Desa Laulalang menggunakan berbagai alat tangkap tradisional berskala kecil seperti hand line, spinning rod, fishing rod, dan set net, yang bersifat ramah lingkungan dan sesuai dengan kondisi lokal. Alat-alat ini memiliki selektivitas tinggi terhadap jenis ikan target dan berkontribusi terhadap pelestarian sumber daya perikanan. Kendati demikian, nelayan masih menghadapi kendala berupa keterbatasan akses teknologi, permodalan, dan ketergantungan pada musim. Oleh karena itu, penguatan kapasitas nelayan melalui pelatihan, penyuluhan, serta dukungan kelembagaan dan diversifikasi usaha sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas, kesejahteraan masyarakat pesisir, dan keberlanjutan pengelolaan perikanan di wilayah tersebut.

Abstract

Pantai Lalos merupakan salah satu tempat rekreasi menikmati sunset di Kabupaten Tolitoli yang selalu menjadi andalan warga Tolitoli untuk berlibur bersama keluarga. Pariwisata andalan Tolitoli sudah tidak diragukan lagi adalah pantainya. Salah satu pantai yang dibanggakan masyarakat Tolitoli adalah Lalos. Pantai Lalos terletak di kecamatan Galang. Kultur Tolitoli sejatinya lekat dengan alam, tapi sayang kondisinya tercoreng oleh sampah. Kondisi itu juga menimpa sejumlah laut di Tolitoli. Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat  (PKM) ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 21 Maret 2022.  Bertempat di Pantai Lalos, Kecamatan Galang, Kabupaten Tolitoli, Sulawesi Tengah.  Prosedur  pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan secara bergotong-royong oleh mahasiswa/i peserta KKN dalam membersihkan sampah-sampah yang ada di bibir pantai lalos. Dari hasil survey di pantai lalos ternyata masih banyak warga dan pengunjung pantai yang kurang menyadari pentingnya  kebersiahan.  Oleh karena itu kami  mahasiswa/i KKN antusias untuk mengambil pantai lalos sebagai objek dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dalam bentuk bakti sosial.Kata kunci : Pantai lalos. Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses maskulinisasi pada ikan lele masamo dan bagaimana hasil maskulinisasi ikan lele masamo menggunakan air kelapa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Balai Benih Ikan Lokal Tatatanga, Kota Palu. Hewan uji yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu larva ikan lele masamo (Clarias sp) berjumlah 360 ekor berumur 7 hari. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga kali ulangan, yaitu : P1 (lama waktu perendaman 5 jam), P2 (lama waktu perendaman 10 jam), P3 (lama waktu perendaman 15 jam) dan P4 (lama perendaman 20 jam). Larva ikan Lele masamo berumur 7 hari direndam dalam air kelapa dengan dosis 30%/L. Pengamatan dilakukan pada umur ikan 40 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata jumlah persentase ikan lele jantan pada perlakuan P1; P2; P3 dan P4 masing-masing adalah 53,89; 65,56; 44,44 dan 0,00%. Perlakuan P2 efektif dalam maskulinisasi ikan lele masamo melalui perendaman air kelapa.Kata kunci: maskulinisasi; lele masamo; air kelapa; pertumbuhanAbstractThis present work aimed to investigate the masculinization of masamo catfish (Clarias sp) larvae by immersion with coconut water. The experiment was carried out in local fish nurtury centre in Tatatanga, Palu.  The 7-days-old larvae (360 individuals) of masamo catfish was used. A completely randomized design was arranged, using four levels of immersion time:  5, 10, 15, and 20 (named as P1, P2, P3, and P4, respectively). The immersion was carried out in coconut water and made three triplicates. After the fish reached 40 days old, the treatment efficacy was evaluated. The results showed that the percentage of male catfish differed sharply, i.e. 53,89% (P1), 65,56% (P2), 44,44% (P3), and 0,00% (P4). To sum up, we concluded that P2 demonstrated the highest percentage, being the most effective masculinization treatment on masamo catfish.Keywords: masculinization; masamo catfish; coconut water; growth

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between length and weight and condition factors of Trichopodus trichopterus in the waters of Rawa, Lakea Dua Village, Buol Regency, Central Sulawesi. The research was carried out for 2 months and took place in the swamps of Lakea Dua Village, Buol Regency, Central Sulawesi. The fish collected were measured based on the total length using a ruler in cm (1 mm accuracy), while the fish weight was measured using a digital scale with units of grams (0.01 gram accuracy). The test parameters observed included analysis of length and weight, relative weight, fulcon condition factor, and relative condition factor. The results showed that there were 53 Trichopodus trichopterus collected in the swamps of Lakea Dua Village, Buol Regency. The length ranges from 10-18 cm with an average length of 14.43±2.39 cm. Fish weight ranged from 14.50-155.30 g with an average weight of 51.33±25.83 g. The growth pattern is negative allometric. The relative weight shows a value of 102.63±21.40, meaning that the source of feed is abundant in the Trichopodus trichopterus environment and the condition is healthy. The Fulcon condition factor value is 1.61±0.55 and the relative condition factor is 1.04±0.33, meaning that the condition factor value is below 3. This shows the cheek-shaped fish.Keywords: length weight; condition factor; Trichogaster pectoralis

Abstract

Success in the fish hatchery is influenced by natural feed. One of the natural freshwater feeds that have a high nutritional content and is easy to cultivate is Daphnia magna. The availability of D. magna at any time must be supported by daily feeding. Ulva lactuca macroalgae is one of the ingredients that have the potential to be used as D. magna feed because it has good nutrition and is abundantly available on the coast. This research was conducted for 17 days at the Integrated Laboratory of Madako Tolitoli University. The aim of the study was to determine the population growth of D. magna fed          U. lactuca. D. magna was reared in a 25 x 25 x 30 cm aquarium containing 5 liters of green water and a stocking density of 20 individuals/L. The treatments tried were Treatment A = Without U. lactuca Soak (0 ml/L), Treatment B = U. lactuca Soak (3 ml/L), Treatment C = U. lactuca Soak (5 ml/L). The results showed that the administration of U. lactuca 5 ml/L (804.44 ind/L) had the highest population growth compared to the treatment of 3 ml/L immersion of U. lactuca (597.78 ind/L) and without administration of immersion of U. lactuca (482.22 ind/L). Treatment of U. Lactva 5 ml/L is effective in increasing Growth D. Magna and can be an alternative feed D. Magna whose availability is abundant in the coastal area.Keywords: Daphnia magna; growth; Ulva lactuca

Abstract

Kegiatan budidaya ikan mas akan berlangsung dengan baik jika pembudidaya mampu menjaga kesehatan ikan dengan baik. Patogen yang ada di media budidaya akan teratasi jika menggunakan pakan yang diperkaya dengan senyawa metabolik alami. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk melihat kinerja pertumbuhan dan hematologi yang diberi suplemen herbal fermentasi melalui pakan. Metode eksperimen digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan menerapkan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) menggunakan 4 perlakuan dan 3 kali ulangan. Perlakuan yang diterapkan yaitu penambahan suplemen herbal per kg pakan dengan dosis yang berbeda yaitu P0= 0 ml; P1= 100 ml, P2= 200 ml; P3= 300 ml). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pakan mengandung suplemen herbal 200 ml memberi pertumbuhan yang tinggi serta nilai hematologi yang normal. Abstract

Butis sp. is a type of fish that possesses physical characteristics such as small scales and a yellowish belly. Information regarding the existence and growth of this type of fish is still limited to the Tambun River, Tolitoli Regency. Analyzing the length and weight of the fish is one of the methods used to determine the biological conditions and fish stocks, there by facilitating the management of biodiversity sustainability. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the length and weight of Butis sp. in order to understand fish growth patterns. This research was carried out for 2 months in Sungai Tambun, Tolitoli Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The location for collecting sample were   divided into 3 stations. The test parameters observed were the relationship between length and weight and habitat conditions. The research results of Butis sp. in Sungai Tambun, Tolitoli Regency showed a positive allometric growth pattern (b= 3,25). The water quality in the Tambun River still supports the growth of Butis sp. (temperature 25-28oC, pH 5,5-8,5).Keywords : Biodiversity, fish biology, growth, positive allometrics
