Abstract

This problem is motivated by the phenomenon of social loafing among students of the Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. Social loafing is a lack of individual effort when working simultaneosly compared to when perfoming individual tasks. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of social loafing and the factors that cause students of the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo to do descriptive quantitative social loafing. The population in this study were 9469 students of the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo who were involved in the social loafing response at the University of Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. The sample used was 355 students based on an error rate of 5% in the table developed by Isacc and Michael. The data collection technique in this study uses a psychological scale, which is a social loafing scale in the form of a used scale. Based on the results of the validity test 15 valid items from the 44 compiled items. The reliability test showed a value of (r = 0.919). Based on the results of the analysis showed that the high category of social loafing (15.5%), medium (68.4%) and low (16.1). Most of the factors that influence social learning are no evaluation or assessment of group performance. The social loafing factor is obtained when there is no individual contribution between groups and the unclear division of responsibilities.

Abstract

PT X employees in Sidoarjo still have workplace well-being problems such as being unable to adjust to the work environment, feeling that salaries have not been met to meet their daily needs and lack of appreciation for the achievements that have been given by employees. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of workplace well-being and the factors that affect workplace well-being in PT X employees in a quantitative descriptive manner. The population in this study were employees of PT X Sidoarjo as many as 920 employees. The sample used is 255 employees, based on an error rate of 5% in the table developed by Isaac and Michael. The sampling technique in this study is proportional random sampling. The data collection technique in this study used a psychological scale, namely the workplace well-being scale in the form of a used scale. The results of the validity test were obtained as many as 50 valid items from 52 items compiled. The reliability test showed that it was 0.938. Based on the results of the analysis showed that the workplace well-being in the high category was 58.4%, medium 41.6% and low 0%, meaning that the welfare of PT X Sidoarjo employees in the company was classified as good. Factors that affect workplace well-being are achievement (27.84%), self-evaluation (23.5%), feeling happy when getting support from others (21.18%), getting recognition from others (16 ,47%), and the last one is satisfied in doing work (11%).Keywords - Workplace Well-Being, Employees.

Abstract

This research was conducted because there are still phenomena of employees who have a low level of satisfaction. This study aims to determine the relationship between interpersonal trust and job satisfaction at employees of PT. Garuda Mas Citra Cemerlang.. This research includes correlational quantitative research. The population in this study were 60 employees, all of which became the research sample. The sampling technique in this study was saturated sampling. The data collection technique in this study used 2 psychological scales, namely the interpersonal trust scale consisting of 40 items and the job satisfaction scale consisting of 50 items. The results of data analysis showed a correlation coefficient of 0.302, a significance of 0.000 <0.05, so the hypothesis was accepted. The result of the determination coefficient test is 0.351 (Adjusted R Square) which shows that the interpersonal trust variable contributes 35.1% to job satisfaction. Highlights: Low employee satisfaction: This research addresses the issue of low job satisfaction among employees at PT. Garuda Mas Citra Cemerlang. Interpersonal trust and job satisfaction: The study explores the relationship between interpersonal trust and job satisfaction among the employees. Significant contribution: The findings reveal that interpersonal trust contributes 35.1% to job satisfaction, highlighting the importance of trust in the workplace. Abstract

This qualitative research study with a phenomenological approach aims to investigate gratitude among overseas students and identify the factors that influence their experience of gratitude. The study involved two participants who were overseas students at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to collect data, which was then analyzed using data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions or verification. The findings revealed three aspects of gratitude: gratitude through the heart, gratitude through words, and gratitude through deeds. Several factors were identified as influencing gratitude in overseas students, including accepting destiny, knowledge, experience, social support, spirituality, establishing relationships, good intentions, religious practice, inner calmness, and positive thinking. The implications of this research contribute to a deeper understanding of gratitude among overseas students and provide insights for fostering a sense of gratitude in this population. Highlights: The study explores gratitude in overseas students and identifies factors influencing their experience. The research adopts a phenomenological approach to gain a deep understanding of the phenomenon. The qualitative research design utilizes semi-structured interviews for data collection and analysis. Abstract

This study explores the relationship between social welfare and employee aggressiveness, focusing on oppressive, threatening, and intimidating behaviors that create discomfort among employees. Employing a quantitative approach with correlation analysis, a sample of 100 employees was obtained using a non-probability sampling technique. The social welfare scale, adapted from Keyes, yielded a Cronbach's alpha of 0.952, while the aggressiveness scale, adapted from Ubaidillah, achieved a Cronbach's alpha of 0.926. The findings reveal a significant negative relationship between social welfare and employee aggressiveness. Pearson's product-moment correlation demonstrated a significance of 0.002, indicating that higher levels of social welfare are associated with reduced employee aggressiveness. These results hold implications for organizations seeking to foster positive work environments and mitigate aggressive behaviors, thereby enhancing overall employee well-being and productivity. Abstract

This study investigates the association between social skills and self-adjustment in first-year female students. The research was conducted with a sample of 155 students at Al Hadi Islamic Boarding School in Padangan Bojonegoro. The data was collected using Likert scales to measure social skills and self-adjustment. Quantitative analysis was performed using SPSS 26.0 for Windows. The findings revealed a significant positive relationship (rxy = 0.763, p < 0.001) between social skills and self-adjustment. Higher levels of social skills were associated with greater self-adjustment, while lower social skills corresponded to lower levels of adjustment. These results emphasize the importance of social skills in fostering self-adjustment among first-year female students. This study contributes to the understanding of factors influencing student well-being and offers implications for educational interventions aimed at enhancing social skills and promoting successful adjustment in academic settings. Abstract

This research was conducted because of the phenomenon where academic procrastination in students with individual characteristics likes to delay doing academic assignments. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between sense of community and academic procrastination in Elementary School Teacher Education students at the University of MuhammadiyahSidoarjo. This type of research is quantitative correlational with a population of 891 students. The sample used is 276 students. With the sampling technique proportionate stratified random sampling. Data collection techniques used the Academic Procrastination scale and the Sense Of Community scale. Academic Procrastination scale reliability test of 0.925. The results of the validity test of the Academic Procrastination scale showed as many as 34 valid items from 36 items. The results of data analysis using Correlation product moment showed r = -0.205, p = 0.001 which means the hypothesis is accepted. The higher the sense of community, the lower the Academic Procrastination. The effective contribution of Sense of community to Academic Procrastination is 5.8 percent. Highlights: Relationship: Explore connection between sense of community and academic procrastination in teacher education students. Abstract

General Background: Prosocial behavior plays a crucial role in adolescent social development and character formation within educational settings. Specific Background: In vocational high schools, students’ social interactions reflect helping, sharing, cooperating, honesty, and generosity, which contribute to a positive school climate. Knowledge Gap: However, empirical data describing the level and distribution of prosocial behavior among vocational high school students remain limited, particularly in specific institutional contexts. Aims: This study aims to describe the prosocial behavior profile of students at SMK Sepuluh Nopember Sidoarjo. Results: Using a quantitative descriptive design with proportional stratified random sampling, the findings indicate that students’ prosocial behavior generally falls within the moderate category. The helping and cooperating aspects show the highest percentages, while sharing appears at a relatively lower level compared to other dimensions. Novelty: This research provides a context-specific empirical mapping of prosocial behavior among vocational students using a structured multidimensional approach. Implications: The findings offer practical considerations for guidance and counseling programs and character education strategies to strengthen positive social engagement among students in vocational education setting Keywords: Prosocial behavior, Adolescents, Vocational High School Students, Character Education, Quantitative Descriptive Study Key Findings Highlights: Students demonstrate a moderate overall level of social-oriented actions. Abstract

General Background: The rapid growth of K-Pop fandom in the digital era has intensified collective fan engagement, particularly among young women, creating complex social dynamics within concert settings. Specific Background: Incidents of verbal and physical aggression during K-Pop concerts in Indonesia indicate that emotional attachment and strong group bonds may shape behavioral responses among fans. Knowledge Gap: Previous studies have rarely examined the combined association of fanaticism and group cohesiveness with aggressiveness among female K-Pop fans who have attended live concerts. Aims: This study aims to examine the relationship between fanaticism and group cohesiveness with aggressiveness among K-Pop fans who have watched their idols’ concerts. Results: Using a quantitative correlational design with 159 respondents from K-Pop communities in Sidoarjo, the findings reveal a significant simultaneous relationship (F = 38.374; p < 0.05), with fanaticism contributing 22.7% and group cohesiveness 14.3% to aggressiveness. Novelty: The study focuses specifically on female concert attendees, addressing a limited empirical area within social and behavioral psychology of fandom. Implications: These findings highlight the importance of emotional regulation and group dynamics management in large-scale fan gatherings to reduce aggressive tendencies. Abstract

General Background: Bullying is a repetitive aggressive behavior that generates serious physical, emotional, and psychological consequences among vulnerable children. Specific Background: Children living in orphanages are particularly at risk due to limited supervision and imbalanced caregiver–child ratios, which may contribute to insufficient understanding of bullying prevention and reduced self-confidence. Knowledge Gap: Despite growing concern regarding bullying in institutional care settings, structured psychoeducational programs targeting self-confidence and bullying prevention knowledge among orphanage children remain limited. Aims: This study aimed to examine changes in bullying-related knowledge after a psychoeducational intervention focused on strengthening self-confidence among orphanage children. Results: Using a quantitative pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design involving 38 participants, statistical analysis with the Wilcoxon signed-rank test revealed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < .001), with mean scores increasing from 9.842 to 11.474. Novelty: This study provides empirical evidence of structured psychoeducation delivered within an orphanage setting using a controlled pre–post assessment framework. Implications: The findings support the integration of psychoeducational programs as an initial preventive strategy to foster awareness, strengthen self-confidence, and promote safer social environments in institutional childcare contexts.
