Abstract

Pengembangan singkong Jarak Towo meningkatkan ketersediaan bahan baku olahan pangan dan pendapatan petani. Hal ini karena keunggulan rasa dan tekstur halus dengan harga mencapai 3 sampai 4 kali lipat dari varietas lain. Sebagai bahan baku industri pengolahan pangan, harus didukung dengan kandungan gizi yang berkualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui produktivitas, parameter pertumbuhan, kandungan gizi singkong Jarak Towo dengan perlakuan dosis pupuk P dan K serta ketinggian tempat yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan percobaan rancangan acak kelompok lengkap dengan faktorial kombinasi dosis pupuk P dan K. Dosis pupuk P tiga level berupa SP36 yaitu 0 kg ha-1, 100 kg ha-1, dan 200 kg ha-1, sedangkan dosis pupuk K berupa KCl tiga level yaitu 0 kg ha-1, 150 kg ha-1, 300 kg ha-1 sehingga diperoleh sembilan kombinasi perlakuan yang diulang di tiga lokasi yaitu Desa Kemuning, Sepanjang, dan Wonorejo pada ketinggian 700 mdpl, 927 mdpl, and 1034 mdpl. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa singkong Jarak Towo yang dibudidayakan di Desa Kemuning memiliki kadar air dan lemak tertinggi 54,28 ± 2,76% dan 0,78 ± 0,21%. Kandungan karbohidrat dan protein tertinggi diperoleh di Desa Wonorejo 15,74 ± 4,25% dan 2,42 ± 0,23%. Perlakuan pupuk P dan K tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap parameter pertumbuhan, produktivitas dan nutrisi dalam singkong Jarak Towo.ABSTRACTThe development of Jarak Towo cassava increases the availability of processed food raw materials and farmers' income. This is because of the superiority of taste and smooth texture with prices reaching 3 to 4 times that of other varieties. As a raw material for the food processing industry, it must be supported by quality nutritional content. This study aimed to determine productivity, the growth parameters, nutritional content of Jarak Towo cassava with different doses of P and K fertilizers and altitudes. This research used a completely randomized block design trial with a factorial combination of P and K fertilizer doses. The dose of P fertilizer at three levels in the form of SP36 was 0 kg ha-1, 100 kg ha-1, and 200kg ha-1, while the dose of K fertilizer in the form of KCl 3 levels was 0 kg ha-1, 150 kg ha-1, 300 kg ha-1 in order to obtain nine treatment combinations repeated in three locations, namely Kemuning, Sepanjang, and Wonorejo Villages at an altitude of 700 masl, 927 masl, and 1034 masl. The results showed that Jarak Towo cassava cultivated in Kemuning Village had the highest water content and fat content of 54.28 ± 2.76% and 0.78 ± 0.21%. The highest carbohydrate and protein content were obtained in Wonorejo Village 15.74 ± 4.25% and 2.42 ± 0.23%. The treatment of P and K fertilizers had no significant effect on the growth parameters, productivity and nutrition in Jarak Towo cassava.

Abstract

Kabupaten Boyolali memiliki jumlah produksi ayam pedaging paling tinggi di antara Kabupaten/Kota lainnya di Karisidenan Surakarta. Pada tahun 2020, Kabupaten Boyolali mencapai puncak produksi dengan jumlah 13.307,91 ribu ekor ayam pedaging. Salah satu persoalan Komunitas Manunggal Peternak Ayam Broiler di Simo Boyolali adalah penyebaran penyakit hewan. Keberadaan banyak ayam dalam satu tempat, seperti di peternakan besar, dapat memicu cepatnya penyebaran penyakit antarindividu. Oleh karena itu, pengelolaan kesehatan hewan, kebersihan kandang, dan implementasi praktik biosekuriti menjadi kunci dalam mengatasi persoalan ini. Pertimbangan lingkungan juga menjadi tantangan serius bagi Komunitas Peternak Ayam Broiler di Simo Boyolali. Limbah organik dari peternakan dapat mencemari air dan tanah, menyebabkan masalah lingkungan yang perlu ditangani secara bijaksana. Penerapan praktik-praktik ramah lingkungan, pengelolaan limbah yang efisien, dan pengurangan dampak lingkungan menjadi fokus untuk menjawab persoalan ini. Aspek ekonomi juga menjadi faktor penting yang mempengaruhi keberlanjutan Komunitas Peternak Ayam Broiler di Simo Boyolali. Abstract

Papaya agribusiness in Boyolali Regency has yet to develop optimally, focusing primarily on production, while the agroindustry (processing) aspect remains underdeveloped. The aim of this research is to formulate a strategy for the development of the papaya agroindustry. This study employs a descriptive qualitative and quantitative approach using a case study method, with data collection techniques including document review, observation, interviews, and focus group discussions (FGD) involving stakeholders at the district level. The collected data were analyzed using SWOT analysis. The research findings indicate that an aggressive agroindustry development strategy is essential. This strategy is highly beneficial as it leverages the strengths and opportunities available to support business growth. Key strategies to be implemented include scaling up the papaya agroindustry, diversifying products, enhancing entrepreneurial mindset and skills, and conducting intensive marketing of quality products by utilizing stakeholder networks. Furthermore, collaboration with modern retailers such as Alfamart, Indomart, Mitra Supermarkets, and Luwes in the Solo Raya area, as well as with the Boyolali Regency Local Brand Forum (FBL), is crucial. Additionally, partnerships with papaya processing technology service providers, such as LPK, the Industry and Trade Service, the MSME and Cooperative Service, relevant Ministries, and Universities, are recommended to support the development of the sector.

Abstract

Desa Dukuh, Ngargoyoso menghadapi tantangan dalam budidaya ikan akibat keterbatasan lahan dan sumber daya. Proyek ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi diversifikasi fungsi buis beton sebagai kolam ikan, mengatasi masalah keterbatasan lahan dengan solusi yang terjangkau dan berkelanjutan. Metodologi yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi terkait desain dan instalasi buis beton sebagai wadah budidaya ikan serta evaluasi efektivitasnya dalam mendukung pertumbuhan ikan dibandingkan dengan kolam tradisional. Hasil dari implementasi menunjukkan bahwa buis beton dapat berfungsi dengan baik sebagai kolam budidaya ikan, memberikan hasil yang memuaskan dalam hal pertumbuhan ikan dan kualitas air. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan buis beton sebagai kolam alternatif adalah solusi yang efektif dan ekonomis untuk meningkatkan produksi ikan di daerah dengan lahan terbatas. Proyek ini berpotensi untuk diterapkan lebih luas di daerah lain yang menghadapi kendala serupa.

Abstract

Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted food security and accessibility in Central Java Province. This study aims to analyze the effects of the pandemic on food accessibility in three dimensions—physical, economic, and social—and on food security. Methods: The study was conducted in five cities and regencies with high COVID-19 case rates. The research method employs Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) to identify relationships between latent and manifest variables. Primary data were collected from 348 respondents, while secondary data were obtained from relevant agencies. Results: The findings reveal that the COVID-19 pandemic situation indirectly positively affects food security through improved physical access to food, supported by government policies such as large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) and community activity restrictions (PPKM), which allowed markets to operate with health protocols. However, economic and social access to food was not significantly impacted by the pandemic. Physical access was shown to have a direct positive impact on food security, while economic access was highly influenced by the respondents’ economic conditions. Conclusion: In conclusion, food accessibility—particularly physical access—plays a crucial role in maintaining food security during the pandemic in Central Java.

Abstract

Chili has high economic value and is one of the commodities that determine inflation in Indonesia. Chili farming faces various challenges, such as dependence on production inputs and high climate risks. This study aims to analyze the cost structure, revenue, and profit of the chili farming, as well as evaluate the feasibility of chili farming in Karanganyar Regency. The study used 100 primary data obtained through structured interviews with chili farmers using questionnaires. Farming business analysis was conducted to explain the cost structure, income and profits of large red chili farming businesses. The feasibility of chili farming is analyzed using profit, R/C ratio, ROI, and BEP as indicators. The results of the analysis show that chili farming in Karanganyar Regency requires costs of Rp 50,838,529/ha for one planting season. The largest proportion of costs is labor expenses, which reach Rp 16,735,396/ha, or 32.92% of the total costs. With a productivity of 5,132 kg/ha, the chili farming can provide an income of Rp 161,782,703/ha and generate profits of Rp 111,083,320/ha. When converted based on the actual land area and planting period, the profit from chili farming is Rp 5,571,921/month; this value is higher than the regency minimum wedge value (UMK) of Karanganyar Regency. The business feasibility evaluation shows an R/C ratio of 3.19, an ROI of 219%, a BEP unit of 1,613 kg, and a BEP price of Rp 9,907/kg. Abstract

Sampah merupakan sumber masalah dalam kehidupan kita sehari-hari baik di daerah perkotaan maupun pinggiran perkotaan. Keterbatasan pembuangan sampah menimbulkan bencana sendiri apabila tidak bisa dilakukan pengelolaan yang baik atau didaur ulang untuk kebutuhan kehidupan lainnya. Proses daur ulang bisa menjadi peluang bisnis masyarakat sekitar maupun Industri skala UMKM. Salah satu bagian sampah yang bisa didaur ulang adalah plastik. Plastik merupakan material yang sulit diuraikan didalam tanah. Di beberapa kota besa Di beberapa kota besar, permasalahan pemilahan plastik dilakukan oleh Bank Sampah yang dibentuk sesuai tingkat kesadaran masyarakatnya seperti Bank Sampah Bhakti Pertiwi di bawah naungan Bumdes Tamansera Tambaksawah di Kota Sidoarjo.. Permasalahan ini akan menimbulkan bencana bagi umat manusia. Tujuan penelitian ini ini untuk memproses limbah plastik menjadi produk paving yang ramah lingkungan dengan mutu yang bisa menerima beban ringan seperti sebagai jalan setapak. Metodologi yang dilakukan dalam pembuatan paving plastik adalah mengumpulkan tutup botol plastik yang termasuk kategori plastik HDPE. Langkah selanjutnya dilakukan pembakaran menggunakan media kompor berenergi gas LPG. Setelah plastik mendidih dan mencair, plastik hasil pembakaran dimasukkan ke media cetak paving dan setelah cetakan penuh dilakukan perendaman di air untuk melepaskan paving plastik dari cetakan. Dari hasil pengujian material ini dihasilkan mutu tekan yang baik sehingga bisa dijadikan salah satu cara menyelesaikan permasalahan sampah plastik dan produk ekonomis yang dihasilkan bisa menjadi bagian bisnis umkm masyarakat sekitarnya.
