Abstract

Digital teaching materials can support the implementation of the Merdeka curriculum. Digital teaching materials can increase student motivation and interest in learning because it looks attractive and interactive, and students can understand the material comprehensively. At SMP Negeri 5 Takengon, there is no availability of digital teaching materials. Based on these problems, the implementation team and the school principal carried out mentoring activities for the creation of digital teaching materials for teachers at Takengon 5 Public Middle School. Assistance was carried out through 10 meetings that introduced teachers to several applications for creating digital teaching materials. Based on some assistance, information was obtained that there was an increase in the ability of teachers to develop digital teaching materials, several digital teaching materials were completed, and teachers were motivated to learn more about digital teaching materials.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membentuk karakter anak melalui kegiatan Pesantren Kilat yang dilaksanakan di Desa Krueng Tinggai, Kecamatan Samatiga, Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Kegiatan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kebutuhan akan pembinaan karakter anak yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan zaman yang semakin kompleks. Pesantren Kilat dipilih sebagai media pendidikan karena efektif dalam menanamkan nilai moral, spiritual, dan sosial secara intensif selama bulan Ramadhan. Mahasiswa Kuliah Pengabdian Masyarakat (KPM) STAIN Meulaboh berperan sebagai fasilitator dan pendamping dalam merancang serta melaksanakan kegiatan ini bersama masyarakat. Program ini dilaksanakan pada 10 Februari hingga 21 Maret 2025, dengan melibatkan tokoh agama, guru ngaji, perangkat desa, dan orang tua. Materi kegiatan meliputi pembelajaran akidah, akhlak, ibadah praktis, hafalan surah pendek, serta nilai-nilai kejujuran, disiplin, dan tanggung jawab. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan bersifat interaktif dan menyenangkan, agar anak-anak dapat menerima materi dengan mudah. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman agama dan sikap positif anak-anak selama program berlangsung. Kegiatan ini menjadi bukti bahwa pesantren kilat dapat menjadi sarana strategis dalam pembentukan karakter Islami anak di lingkungan masyarakat.

Abstract

Learning media is something that educators must prepare to improve the quality of learning. Apart from that, the improvement of student character based on Pancasila must also be fostered by an educator in students.  Student dependence on smartphones cannot be avoided, which has an impact on student character. Therefore, digital-based learning media is needed with a student Pancasila character approach. This research aims to develop the Geography Science in Al-Qur'an (GeoScienQu) Android application as an innovative geography learning medium, focusing on improving the character of high school students in Banda Aceh. This application is designed by integrating geography learning contained in the Al-Qur'an as a source of knowledge, and strengthening student character. The research results of the validity of the Geoscienqu application media before repairs were 86% and after repairs the results were 96.59%. Testing the effectiveness of the Geoscienqu application for material validation was 96.48% with very feasible criteria. Meanwhile, the practicality test of the Geoscienqu application in a small group was 86.75% and the practicality test in a large group was 88.25% with very practical criteria. Thus it can be concluded that the Geoscienqu application can be used as a learning medium to increase students' Pancasila profile.
