Abstract

SPAM of Palangka Raya City has a distribution unit which is powered by six pumps but only two pumps are functioning due to frequent damage to the pumps. The pumps that function is Pump III and Pump V. This research aims to evaluate pump efficiency and specific energy consumption (SEC) so that technical recommendations for optimizing existing distribution pumps are known. Pump III is installed with a VSD with a SEC value of 0.14 KWh/m3 with a pump efficiency of 70.41% so it does not require minor or major repairs but requires a new backup pump because it works 24 hours while Pump V has a SEC of 0.27 KWh/m3 with a pump efficiency of only 36.97% which requires a new pump replacement. Both pumps experienced the same problem, namely V-Unbalanced which reached 2.72-2.73%, causing a decrease in motor performance which could cause damage to the pump components and VSD, so a capacitor bank and voltage stabilizer were needed. The evaluation of energy loss in the distribution network was carried out by increasing the diameter of 57 pipe segments to reduce headloss to less than 10 m/km.

Abstract

In the Cibitung - Cilincing Ramp 3-1 Toll Road development project, where the road alignment is an embankment construction with subgrade conditions that have dominant soil layers with sand and limited land. Then the implementation of subgrade improvement is carried out by comparing 2 methods, namely the first Replace 1.5 m (50 cm Limestone + Geomembrane + 50 cm Granular backfill + Geotextile Non Woven) + Sheet Pile with a length of 15 meters + Retaining Wall and the second Replace 1.5 m (50 cm Limestone + Geomembrane + 50 cm Granular backfill + Geotextile Non Woven) + Retaining Wall with Bore Pile D60 Int. 2 meters + Retaining Wall.The analysis of the two treatments used Plaxis with the results for the 1 year and 10 year consolidation of the two treatments meeting the requirements. The safety factor for the embankment slopes also meets the requirements. The results of the Horizontal Displacement in the first treatment are still very large, namely 6.73 cm, not in accordance with the AASTHO criteria of 3.8 cm and it can be seen from the profile bending moment on the Sheet Pile that the Sheet Pile is not pinched so that for this case the handling suitable is to use the second treatment, namely Replace 1.5 m (50 cm Limestone + Geomembrane + 50 cm Granular backfill + Geotextile Non Woven) + Retaining Wall with Bore Pile D60 Int. 2 meters + Retaining Walls

Abstract

Access to clean water is the right of every citizen that the government must fulfill, both the central government and local governments, through drinking water business entities, namely PDAM. The performance of a PDAM represents the quality level of drinking water administration in an area. Only now, the high loss of drinking water has become problematic for PDAMs in improving their performance. One of the PDAMs with a high loss of drinking water is PDAM Tirta Yapono, Ambon City, with a water loss rate of 69.85%. In this paper, an effort is made to reduce water loss in PDAM Tirta Yapono by establishing a DMA in the Wainitu Village based on the existing condition of the pipeline, along with the number of sensors and instrumentation needed. SCADA and asset management implementation are also designed to support DMA's performance in reducing water loss. SCADA's role in reducing water loss facilitates the implementation of step tests and automation of monitoring activities for the distribution process and water quality by placing several instruments in the distribution network. Monitoring with SCADA will provide accurate data. Then, asset management also plays a role in reducing water losses because the information contained in asset management is used as material for preparing a strategy to reduce water losses following the priorities and capabilities of PDAM Tirta Yapono.

Abstract

The blacksmith business in Segaran Village, Delanggu Subdistrict, Klaten Regency is one of the SMEs with high economic potential but lacks in the implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) standards. This condition leads to high risks of workplace accidents such as burns, sharp tool injuries, and exposure to fumes and extreme heat. This community service activity aimed to enhance the awareness and capacity of SME actors in applying OHS principles through socialization and direct assistance. The methods included observation, interviews, education, PPE usage simulations, and behavior change monitoring. The results indicated an increase in OHS awareness and practices, including the use of personal protective equipment and better workspace organization. The assistance encouraged the creation of a safer and more sustainable work culture. This activity had a positive impact on the productivity and safety of blacksmith SME workers.

Abstract

The foundation is a very important part of a structure that is not protected by air such as sediment. Basic foundation repairs aim to ensure that the soil stress that arises as a result of the dam's own weight, air pressure, earthquake forces and acting loads does not exceed the carrying capacity of the dam foundation soil at the bottom or on the left and right banks of the dam. In the Jlantah Dam Construction Project there were problems related to the dam foundation. Repairs to the Jlantah Dam foundation were originally designed using curtain grouting, but from the results of grouting tests on the riverbed the results were not able to reach the required airtightness (Lugeon) value. Considering that alluvial deposition and strongly weathered rock layers are still quite porous, it is necessary to repair the foundation specifically using a cut-off wall or diaphragm wall. The purpose of using a diaphragm wall is to strengthen the foundation when the body bends. The method used in making plastic concrete is laboratory testing to obtain results that comply with standards. The conclusion obtained from plastic concrete on barrier walls is in accordance with applicable standards.

Abstract

Dams have an important role in controlling floods and providing water supply for infrastructure and community needs. The construction of the Pidekso Dam, as part of government efforts, requires research to determine earthquake parameters to ensure the safety of its structure. Pidekso Dam, located in the downstream Bengawan Solo river, is prone to earthquakes because it is adjacent to areas where earthquakes often occur. This study aims to determine the parameters of the earthquake coefficient Operating Basis Earthquakeee (OBE) and MaximumaDesignaEarthquakee (MDE) based on the 2017 earthquake map of Indonesia. Analysis was conducted to assess the risk of dam collapse due to earthquakes. Based on the dam risk class criteria, Pidekso Dam has a high risk class with a total weight of 30. For OBE earthquake analysis, the earthquake coefficient used ranges from 0.1 to 0.15 g, with a probability of being exceeded by 2% in 100 years. As for MDE earthquakes, the earthquake coefficient ranges from 0.5 to 0.6 g, with a repeat period T = 5000 years.

Abstract

Peneltian ini dilakukan di Daerah Irigasi Bakalan Kecamatan Welahan Kabupaten Jepara yang mempunyai luasan 1284,27 hektare. Salah satu saluran sekunder jaringan tersebut mengalami keruntuhan bangunan pada saluran dan sendimentasi limpasan air pada ruas (BWl.1, BWl.2, BWl.3) sehingga penyaluran air ke saluran tersebut mengalami rembesan dan pengurangan. Hal itu dikhawatirkan mengganggu pertumbuhan tanaman areal tersebut karena kekurangan suplai air. Untuk itu perlunya redesain ulang dimensi saluran irigasi pada saluran tersebut. Tujuannya adalah untuk mengetahui kebutuhan air untuk pada tanaman palawija dan tanaman padi , mengetahui kapasitas debit saluran irigasi pada lahan pertanian dengan luasan 208,86 hektare, dan mengetahui dimensi saluran sekunder yang dibutuhkan sebagai acuan pembangunan. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan data curah hujan, klimatologi, hasil pengukuran lapangan dll. Hasil analisis perhitungan dimensi pada saluran sekunder irigasi welahan ruas (BWl.1) dengan luas 208,86 hektare didapatkan tinggi muka air (h) = 0,75 m, lebar saluran (b) = 1,5 m, tinggi jagaan (W) = 0,20 m , kemiringan talud saluran (V : H) = 1 : 1,5 dan kemiringan dasar saluran (I) = 0,0025533

Abstract

Sektor perunggasan di Indonesia saat ini telah mengalami perkembangan yang pesat, baik peternakan rakyat maupun perusahaan telah banyak mengembangkan pembibitan Ayam. Guna meningkatkan populasi unggas perlu didukung dengan sistem breeding yang baik. Mesin tetas berfungsi untuk menggantikan indukan ayam dalam proses pengeraman. Penetasan telur ayam membutuhkan waktu selama 21 hari dengan suhu 37,5oC-38oC. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyrakat ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana tatacara penggunaan mesin tetas telur otomatis dan menghasilkan daya tetas yang lebih baik kepada siswa MI Hidayatul Insan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan di MI Hidayatul Insan Desa Bejen Kecamatan Karanganyar Kabupaten Karanganyar. Program pengabdian disasarkan pada seluruh siswa. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan selama 21 hari, dimulai pada agustus 2024 dengan tahapan sebagai berikut: edukasi dan pengenalan mesin tetas otomatis dan telur tetas serta aplikasinya, proses penetasan, dan proses candling telur tetas dilakukan selama dua kali. Pendampingan dilakukan secara berkala sampai telur menetas menghasilkan doc.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat peternak dalam mengatasi kesulitan mencari sumber pakan hijauan ketia musim kemarau. Silase menjadikan simpanan pakan yang dapat diberikan kepada ternak kapanpun saat dibutuhkan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan di Desa Sendangijo, Kecamatan Selogiri, Kabupaten Wonogiri, Jawa Tengah. Program pengabdian dilaksanakan secara berkala mulai dari audiensi, pengetahuan dan arahan, aplikasi, sampai hasil panen berupa hasil fermentasi pengolahan hijauan pakan ternak. Pengabdian dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 3 September sampai Oktober 2024. Program pengabdian disasarkan pada seluruh masyarakat peternak. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini diharapkan bahwa masyarakat peternak di Desa Sendangijo memiliki kemampuan inovasi teknologi dalam mengelola pakan ternak dengan aplikasi secara langsung fermentasi hijauan pakan. Program pengabdian disasarkan masyarakat peternak. Pelaksanaan proses pembuatan silase fermentasi pakan hijauan dilakukan dengan pemeraman selama 21 hari. Pendampingan dilakukan secara berkala untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana peternak mengaplikasikan teknologi pakan fermentasi serta melihat perkembnagan ternak yang diberikan pakan fermentasi. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah dengan adanya praktik dan penerapan secara langsung dengan pemberian pakan dari pembuatan silase sangat membantu masyarakat peternak dalam mengatasi kesulitan mencari hijauan ketika musim kemarau tiba. Saran yang dapat diberikan adalah sebaiknya pembuatan silase dibuat secara berkala dan sebanyak mungkin agar peternak tidak perlu khawatir kesusahan dalam mencari hijauan untuk pakan ternak.

Abstract

The community service activity was carried out in Handil Maluka Village with the aim of increasing public awareness of the importance of proper sanitation and household waste management. This activity was conducted due to the community’s limited knowledge about proper sanitation, particularly regarding the crucial role of septic tanks and waste management. The methods implemented included counseling sessions, interactive discussions, and continuous monitoring after the outreach activities. The program was conducted alongside the construction of 50 septic tanks and free toilets in Handil Maluka Village. The results of the outreach activities showed an improvement in community hygiene practices, such as the establishment of waste disposal points in several areas and the implementation of better waste management. During the current rainy season, no flooding occurred, which had previously been an annual issue for the community. This activity successfully fostered community awareness of the importance of proper sanitation.
