Abstract

The integration of Islamic values into vocational education remains a growing concern as efforts to balance technical competence with ethical integrity continue. This exploratory study examines how the understanding of Islamic values influences the professional ethical commitment of vocational education students in the construction sector. A quantitative approach using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was employed to test the direct relationship between the two constructs. Data were collected from 39 purposively selected respondents with prior exposure to Islamic-based vocational ethics. The findings indicate that Islamic values have a positive and significant effect on ethical commitment (β = 0.520; p < 0.01), explaining 27% of the variance. The model’s moderate explanatory power suggests that contextual and institutional factors beyond individual value comprehension also shape ethical commitment. Theoretically, this study contributes to the discourse on Islamic education by providing empirical evidence on integrating faith-based ethics into vocational pedagogy as a foundation for developing moral professionalism. Given the limited sample size and scope, the findings are exploratory and not broadly generalizable. Nonetheless, they underscore the practical importance of embedding Islamic values into vocational curricula to produce graduates who are not only technically proficient but also ethically consistent and socially responsible within the construction industry.

Abstract

AbstractThe development of artificial intelligence (AI)-based learning applications requires a user-oriented approach from the initial design stage. However, many mock-up designs for learning applications are still dominated by the technical perspective of developers without being based on quantitative analysis of user satisfaction, thereby potentially reducing the effectiveness and acceptance of the system. This study aims to analyze the influence of user satisfaction factors on the design of AI-based learning application mock-ups. The method used is descriptive-explanatory quantitative with linear regression analysis on 183 vocational student respondents. The results show that expected benefits (X2) have a significant effect on user satisfaction (β = 0.202, p 0.05), while system requirements (X1) do not have a significant effect but play a role as a functional foundation. Simultaneously, both variables explain 44% of the variation in user satisfaction. The implications of these findings are implemented in the design of an application mock-up that emphasizes material personalization features, AI-based recommendations, and an adaptive interface. Thus, this study provides practical contributions in the form of an empirical basis for more user-centered mock-up design, as well as theoretical contributions in integrating the concept of user satisfaction into the early stages of AI-based learning system development.Keywords: Artificial intelligence; user satisfaction; mock-up; personalized learning; vocational educationAbstrakPengembangan aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis kecerdasan buatan (AI) memerlukan pendekatan yang berorientasi pada pengguna sejak tahap perancangan awal. Namun, banyak perancangan mock-up aplikasi pembelajaran masih didominasi oleh perspektif teknis pengembang tanpa didasarkan pada analisis kuantitatif kepuasan pengguna, sehingga berpotensi mengurangi efektivitas dan penerimaan sistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh faktor kepuasan pengguna terhadap perancangan mock-up aplikasi pembelajaran berbasis AI. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif-eksplanatori dengan analisis regresi linier pada 183 responden mahasiswa vokasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa manfaat yang diharapkan (X2) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan pengguna (β = 0,202, p 0,05), sementara kebutuhan sistem (X1) tidak berpengaruh signifikan namun berperan sebagai fondasi fungsional. Secara simultan, kedua variabel menjelaskan 44% variasi kepuasan pengguna. Implikasi temuan ini diimplementasikan dalam perancangan mock-up aplikasi yang menekankan fitur personalisasi materi, rekomendasi berbasis AI, dan antarmuka yang adaptif. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi praktis berupa dasar empiris untuk perancangan mock-up yang lebih berpusat pada pengguna, serta kontribusi teoretis dalam mengintegrasikan konsep kepuasan pengguna ke dalam tahap awal pengembangan sistem pembelajaran berbasis AI.Kata Kunci: Kecerdasan buatan; kepuasan pengguna; mock-up; personalisasi pembelajaran; pendidikan vokasi

Abstract

     AbstractIndonesia, as one of the world's largest coffee bean producers, generates substantial spent coffee ground (SCG) waste with untapped potential. Currently, SCG utilization remains suboptimal, with large quantities discarded without processing to enhance economic value. This study aimed to evaluate the feasibility of using arabica and robusta SCG as fillers in unsaturated polyester resin (UPR) composites to develop value-added products from this waste. Five SCG volume fractions (5%–50%) were tested for each SCG type. Composites were cut into three specimens per fraction and mechanically tested per ASTM D638 (tensile) and ASTM C1341-06 (bending). Results showed that both tensile and bending strengths decreased with increasing SCG content for both types. Arabica SCG composites exhibited higher strengths at lower fractions (10%–30%): tensile 1.38–1.72 kgf/mm² and bending 2.08–2.72 kgf/mm², versus robusta (tensile 0.58–0.75 kgf/mm²; bending 1.22–1.45 kgf/mm²). At higher fractions (40%–50%), robusta outperformed arabica: tensile 0.58–0.75 kgf/mm² and bending 1.22–1.45 kgf/mm², versus arabica (tensile 0.45–0.68 kgf/mm²; bending 0.47–1.19 kgf/mm²). These findings highlight SCG's potential in affordable composites, with performance varying by type and loading. Keywords:arabica; composite; robusta; spent coffee grounds; unsaturated polyester resin AbstrakIndonesia sebagai salah satu produsen biji kopi terbesar di dunia menghasilkan limbah ampas kopi bekas (spent coffee ground/SCG) dalam jumlah besar yang memiliki potensi belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal. Saat ini, pemanfaatan SCG masih belum optimal, dengan jumlah limbah yang dibuang secara besar-besaran tanpa pengolahan untuk meningkatkan nilai ekonomisnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan penggunaan SCG arabika dan robusta sebagai pengisi dalam komposit resin poliester tak jenuh (unsaturated polyester resin/UPR) guna mengembangkan produk bernilai tambah dari limbah tersebut. Lima fraksi volume SCG (5%–50%) diuji untuk masing-masing jenis SCG. Komposit dipotong menjadi tiga spesimen per fraksi dan diuji mekanik sesuai ASTM D638 (tarik) dan ASTM C1341-06 (lentur). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kekuatan tarik dan lentur menurun seiring meningkatnya kandungan SCG untuk kedua jenis. Komposit SCG arabika menunjukkan kekuatan lebih tinggi pada fraksi rendah (10%–30%): tarik 1,38–1,72 kgf/mm² dan lentur 2,08–2,72 kgf/mm², dibandingkan robusta (tarik 0,58–0,75 kgf/mm²; lentur 1,22–1,45 kgf/mm²). Pada fraksi tinggi (40%–50%), robusta unggul: tarik 0,58–0,75 kgf/mm² dan lentur 1,22–1,45 kgf/mm², dibandingkan arabika (tarik 0,45–0,68 kgf/mm²; lentur 0,47–1,19 kgf/mm²).
