The sample wa s taken by purposive sampling technique with cla ss VII A as the experimental cla ss and class VII B as the control class. Based on the results of statistical ana lysis, the Asymp.sig.2-tailed value is 0.000 and a is 0.05, which means 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected. From these data it can be concluded that the value of Asymp.sig. of 0.000 < 0.05, then there is a significant increase or lea rning that uses InaRisk Personal lea rning media is effective to be applied. Overa ll, the ability of the concept of disaster information litera cy affects the prepa redness of students in dealing with disasters in the surrounding environment. the ability of the concept of disaster information literacy in the experimental cla ss increased significantly in terms of seeking information, identifying information, evaluatinginformation, andusinginformation.

The low socia l studies lea rning outcomes a re caused by severa l factors, one of which is the use of socia l studies learning methods and media that a re less attractive and do not invite students to be actively involved in the learning process. The population in this study were eighth grade students of SMP Islam As-Syarief. The samples taken were cla ss VIII-C and VIII-E. Data was obta ined by means of tests (pre-test and post-test), and observation sheets. Data analysis was performed using the Lilliefors norma lity test (Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk), the Mann Whitney test, and the normalized Ga in test. The results showed that lea rning using comic- based worksheets wa s effective in improving socia l studies lea rning outcomes for students, it wa s based on the avera ge va lue of socia l studies learning outcomes after treatment wa s higher than before. Abstract

There are many studies related to gender representation in textbooks, but there is still limited research specifically focused on the representation of women in Indonesian social studies textbooks. This study aims to address that gap by analyzing the portrayal of women in three Indonesian social studies textbooks in comparison to the dominant representation of men. The findings suggest that the authors of these textbooks are generally mindful of gender equality and strive to represent both men and women. However, the majority of representations of women tend to be stereotyped, both in images and text. This analysis demonstrates that social studies textbook authors and curriculum designers would benefit from a deeper awareness of the stereotypes that depict unequal gender roles for both women and men. It is essential to avoid gender stereotypes, as social studies textbooks not only provide theoretical and practical knowledge but also convey underlying values such as gender equity.

Abstract

Research of STM (Science, Technology and Society) approach to social studies learning has not been developed much. So far, STM has been used more in science learning. This research was designed as a positive response in facing the Industrial Revolution 4.0 which had a revolutionary impact on the education. Consistently integrated efforts are needed to develop science and technology-based learning innovations that are closely related to societal problems which are the subject of social studies. The research method used is a survey. The android application is used as a means to improve social studies learning practices in junior high schools, especially for online learning. Social studies learning activities ultimately lead to the 21st century 4C skills (Collaboration, Critical Thinking, Creativity, and Communication). Social studies learning is expected to not only equip students with knowledge, but also with the attitudes and skills that are qualified in the 21st century.
