Abstract

Memiliki keterampilan literasi adalah bekal penting dalam kehidupan era revolusi industri 5.0.   Keterampilan literasi dasar yakni membaca dan menulis tidak hanya menjadi kompetensi yang dibutuhkan, tetapi juga keterampilan literasi komunikasi, literasi keluarga, literasi sosial, literasi digital, termasuk literasi keluarga.  Upaya penumbuhan, penanaman dan pembudayaan literasi ini perlu sokongan dan pembinaan dari berbagai pihak, termasuk Perguruan Tinggi.  Fokus target sasaran kegiatan adalah anak-anak usia TK dan Sekolah Dasar serta orang tua dari anak-anak tersebut.  Model kegiatan pembinaan literasi ini adalah dengan merintis wadah kegiatan berliterasi bersama, yaitu “Taman Literasi”.  Di “Taman Literasi”, warga saling berkomunikasi positif, anak-anak bermain dan belajar, serta tumbuh lingkungan hijau yang kondusif.  “Taman Literasi” ini merupakan rancangan roadmap PkM perintisan  kampung literasi di desa.  Dengan demikian, tidak hanya “Taman Literasi” saja yang akan berdiri, tetapi juga titik wadah literasi lainnya di area yang berbeda.

Abstract

Tujuan umum dari kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini yaitu untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan pelatihan kepada para guru Bahasa Indonesia MAN se-Jawa Barat. Secara khusus, kegiatan PkM ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam melakukan evaluasi pada pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia. Kegiatan ini penting untuk dilakukan sebab tuntutan pendidikan di abad ke-21 dan era industri 4.0 semakin kompleks. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode ceramah dan praktik langsung yang dibagi menjadi dua sesi. Sesi pertama adalah pematerian yang diisi oleh dua pemateri sedangkan sesi kedua adalah sesi paralel yang diisi oleh lima pemateri. Media yang digunakan adalah Zoom Meeting, Google Drive, dan sebagainya. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa adanya peningkatan kemampuan guru dalam memahami materi. Hal ini dilihat pada hasil pre-test dan post-test yang mengalami peningkatan sebesar 37.25%. Selain itu, respons peserta menunjukkan hasil yang sangat positif.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the need for a descriptive and analytical research related to the basic dimensions of early reading skills of elementary school students to determine the level of students’ reading skills, including their difficulties in learning to read. This study aims to get a picture of the early reading skills of elementary school students in Bandung. The results of this study can be used as a guide for education practitioners, policy makers, and related institutions. Through a descriptive and analytical method, the findings are (1) 98percent of students are able to identify letters in words, to analyze words, to identify the direction of letters, and to arrange letters into words. (2) 96percent of students are able to strip words into syllables, to sort syllables in words, to identify words with the same forms, to identify words with the same meanings, to replace words with logical words, to insert words in incomplete sentences, and to identify abstract words. (3) The students seem to have difficulties in identifying similar consonant sounds, in identifying similarities in vowel and schwa sounds, in identifying sounds that are similar in sentences, and in identifying reversed sounds. Only 57percent of students do not encounter obstacles. (4) 90percent of students are capable of making sentences from random words, making sentences from words that are not sequential, correcting sentences that have wrong words, identifying simple sentences in paragraphs, and understanding simple sentences. (5) 70percent of students have the ability to understand shapes, sizes, locations, and colors. This study has implications for the need for an integrated remedial program that can be used by both teachers and parents, especially for students who have difficulties with sound identification abilities.

Abstract

This research was aimed to obtain a view of phonological awareness of childrenreading difficulty. This view was collected through interviews and phonologicalawareness tests with instruments adapted from the Phonological Awareness Test(Robertson and Salter, 1997). The participant was a third grade of Junior HighSchool student in Bandung who had difficulty in reading. This research used aqualitative approach with a case study method. The results showed that: 1) rhymingskills of 42.5%; 2) segmenting skills of 30%; 3) isolation skills of 0%; 4) removingskills of 10%; 5) replacing skills of 0%; and 6) combining skills of 27.5%. Theseresults can be useful as initial information for the preparation of phonologicalawareness training intervention programs for students with reading difficulty. Thisinitial information is needed so that the intervention is designed to be right ontarget and in accordance with the needs of students with reading difficulties.

Abstract

Pada konteks globalisasi dan perkembangan teknologi kebutuhan akan pendekatan pembelajaran yang inovatif dan relevan dengan tuntutan zaman semakin mendesak. Guru bahasa Indonesia sebagai agen pembelajaran memiliki peran penting dalam memastikan siswa memiliki keterampilan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan zaman. Penelitian ini mengusulkan pelatihan intensif yang fokus pada pengembangan bahan ajar digital yang berpusat pada pembelajaran abad ke-21 mencakup berbagai aspek seperti kreativitas, kolaborasi, komunikasi, dan pemecahan masalah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif, melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi partisipatif terhadap sekelompok guru bahasa Indonesia yang mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil penelitian ini dianalisis secara tematik untuk mengidentifikasi perubahan, pemahaman, dan keterampilan guru dalam penyusunan bahan ajar digital serta dampaknya terhadap pembelajaran siswa. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan pemahaman mendalam tentang efektivitas pelatihan dalam meningkatkan kualitas bahan ajar digital yang berorientasi pembelajaran abad-21 bagi guru bahasa Indonesia. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam pengembangan kurikulum dan praktik pembelajaran yang lebih relevan dengan konteks zaman.

Abstract

The rapid development of language means that young people, such as students, must understand the proper and correct use of language. People need information for learning and entertainment purposes. For this reason, educational viewing is needed to uphold the factuality and up-to-dateness of the information on YouTube. This research focuses more on analyzing facts about animals, in addition to analyzing elocutionary speech acts in videos. This research is based on two reasons, namely practical and theoretical reasons. For practical reasons for conducting this research, it was found that many elocutionary speech acts on the Sisi Terang YouTube channel had an animal theme, in the playlist, we found discussions about animal facts. Apart from that, this research was conducted to provide information about things correlated with illocutionary speech acts, which are widel implemented in human life and can classify the form, function, and types of illocutionary speech acts. Qualitative research is included in this research methodology so that it can produce descriptive data. The techniques used in this research are note-taking techniques and pragmatic analysis techniques to produce data. Matched data and collection techniques are also used in this analysis when presented as formal and informal data. Based on the study on the Bright Side YouTube Channel with an Animal Theme in the Form of Locutionary Speech Acts, 62 news sentences, 32 question sentences, and 49 command sentences were found. In addition to being used in this research to analyze the form of illocutionary speech acts on the Animal-Themed Bright Side YouTube Channel, this research also has the benefit of adding new insight into the study of pragmatics, specifically in the use of social media.

Abstract

This study is based on the urgency of understanding assertive speech acts as part of pragmatic studies in speech acts in the movie Sweet 20 by Ody C. Harap. Sweet 20 was chosen because of its richness in dialogue and cross-generational representation, thus allowing in-depth analysis of speech acts. This research aims to identify, classify, and analyze the form and function of assertive speech acts used by the characters in the film. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with a pragmatic approach. The data were obtained through listening and note-taking techniques on the characters' speech in the movie. Data analysis refers to Searle and Galassi's speech act theory, which emphasizes assertive speech acts. The results show various forms of assertive speech acts, such as stating, telling, suggesting, boasting, complaining, reporting, expressing positive emotions, self-affirmation, and expressing negative emotions, which are influenced by the social and cultural context in the movie. This research contributes to the development of pragmatics studies in linguistics, can be used as a reference in learning Indonesian, especially speaking skills, and provides further insight into the use of speech acts in audio-visual media.
