Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of application of POGIL model in improving student` understanding of the material on reaction rate. The method used in this research is Quasi Experiment with Non Equivalent Control Design research descriptions and sampling with purposive sampling technique.The instrument used in this research are 12 essay test instrument with conceptual understanding indicator covering ability to comprehend, apply, and analyze. In this reseacrh, obtained pretest score of control class as much as 26,10 and experiment class 24,86. Next, the score of posttest of concrol class is 62,48 and experiment class is 76,48. Based on the hypothesis test with the level of trust α (0,05) obtained by t-test of posttest data obtained that the value of sig (2-tailed) 0,00 < 0,005 and tcount< ttabel (6,521<2,045) which mean H0 rejected and H1 accepted so that it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the application of POGIL model to student understanding of the material on the rate of reaction. Abstract

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SELF REGULATED LEARNING AND ACADEMIC PROCRASTINATION IN CHEMISTRY EDUCATION STUDENTS IN THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC  AbstractThe world, including Indonesia, is being hit by the covid-19 outbreak, making students adapt to a new learning process, namely online. Students need self-regulated learning to direct the learning process to achieve optimal learning goals and suppress the level of academic procrastination experienced by students during the covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-regulated learning and academic procrastination in Chemistry Education students during the covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a correlational method with a quantitative research approach. This study's population was 210 students of Chemistry Education class 2017, 2018, and 2019 with a sample size of 68 students who were determined using the proportional stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used were self-regulated learning questionnaires, academic procrastination questionnaires, and interviews. The product-moment correlation technique is used to test the hypothesis. The results obtained a correlation coefficient value of -0.409 with a significance of 0.001, so it can be said that there is a negative and significant relationship between self-regulated learning and academic procrastination in  Chemistry Education students during the covid-19 pandemic.  Abstrak Saat ini dunia termasuk Indonesia sedang dilanda wabah covid-19 yang membuat mahasiswa harus beradaptasi dengan proses pembelajaran baru yakni melalui daring. Mahasiswa membutuhkan kemampuan self regulated learning untuk mengarahkan proses belajar dalam mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang optimal serta untuk menekan tingkat prokrastinasi akademik yang dialami mahasiswa pada masa pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini. bertujuan untuk. mengetahui. hubungan antara. self regulated.learning dengan. Prokrastinasi. akademik pada mahasiswa. Pendidikan Kimia di.masa pandemi covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode korelasional dengan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia angkatan 2017, 2018, dan 2019 berjumlah 210 mahasiswa dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 68 mahasiswa yang ditentukan menggunakan teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket self regulated learning, angket prokrastinasi akademik, dan wawancara. Teknik korelasi product moment digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai .koefisien korelasi sebesar. – 0,409 dengan. signifikansi 0,001 sehingga.dapat dikatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan.negatif dan signifikan.antara self. regulated. learning dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada. mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia di.masa pandemi covid-19.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to develop a guided inquiry-based modules in the material of the electrolyte and nonelectrolytes solution. Module development using 4-D models (Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate). In this study, the development of modules is limited at the stage of develop. Data obtained from the development of guided inquiry-based modules and the results of questionnaire responses by student. Validation of the contents of the module is done by two expert lecturers and one chemistry teacher. The trial of the module is conducted by 36 students of X MIA 2 class in SMAN 66 Jakarta. Based on data from the test results of questionnaire responses by students, obtained a percentage of each component. Module characteristics component at 80.12%, The quality element of the module component at 77.24%, inquiry learning component at 75.96%, consistency component at 75.53% and 74.25% of the linguistic component. Overall, the average percentage of modules is at76.62% with good criteria. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non-elektrolit. Pengembangan modul menggunakan model 4-D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Namun, dalam penelitian ini hanya dibatasi pada tahap Develop saja. Data diperoleh dari proses pengembangan modul berbasis inkuiri terbimbing dan hasil angket respon siswa. Validasi isi modul dilakukan oleh dua orang dosen ahli dan satu orang guru kimia dan uji coba modul dilakukan terhadap 36 siswa kelas X MIA 2 di SMAN 66 Jakarta. Berdasarkan data hasil uji coba dari angket respon siswa diperoleh persentase rata-rata tiap aspek komponen, yaitu komponen karakteristik modul sebesar 80,12%, komponen elemen mutu modul sebesar 77,24%, komponen pembelajaran inkuiri sebesar 75,96%, komponen konsistensi sebesar 75,53% dan komponen kebahasaan sebesar 74,25%. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan instrumen diagnostik pilihan ganda two-tier untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi siswa SMA pada topik asam basa (Tes Diagnostik Two-tier untuk Mendeteksi Miskonsepsi Siswa pada Topik Asam-basa/ TDTMMTA). Pengembangan instrumen diagnostik ini menggunakan kerangka kerja yang diuraikan oleh Treagust (1998). Dalam pengembangan instrumen ini, 154 siswa dilibatkan dalam wawancara, tes uraian, tes pilihan ganda dengan alasan terbuka, dan tes diagnostik two-tier. Dari keseluruhan siswa, 34 siswa digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi miskosepsi siswa menggunakan TDTMMTA. Terdapat 16 butir soal valid dengan nilai reliabilitas menggunakan persamaan Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,764. Berdasarkan analisis miskonsepsi dari enam konsep utama dari asam basa, mayoritas siswa (54,46%) mengalami miskonsepsi pada konsep pH. Tetapi, sedikit siswa (15,54%) mengalami miskonsepsi pada konsep perhitungan pH. Secara keseluruhan, instrumen TDTMMTA cukup efektif untuk menentukan miskonsepsi siswa. Oleh karena itu, instrumen ini dapat digunakan sebagai tes alternatif untuk mengevaluasi miskonsepsi siswa pada topik asam basa.
