Abstract

This study was conducted in response to the fact that the teaching materials used in mathematics instruction at SMA Negeri 1 Sitiung have not yet fully addressed students’ learning needs. The objective of this research is to develop a valid E-LKPD (Electronic Student Worksheet) based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) for the topic of sequences and series in grade X. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, utilizing the Plomp development model. The validation results of the PBL-based E-LKPD obtained a score of 89.8%, categorized as very valid. These findings indicate that the PBL-based E-LKPD for the sequences and series material in grade X at SMA Negeri 1 Sitiung is valid and suitable for use by both teachers and students during the learning process. Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika masih menjadi permasalahan yang dialami siswa di sekolah, banyak siswa terutama mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami konsep, menerapkan prinsip dan menyelesaikan masalah verbal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kesulitan belajar siswa di kelas IX SMP Negeri 3 Padang pada pembelajaran matematika berdasarkan indikator kesulitan belajar menurut teori Cooney. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek sebanyak 30 siswa kelas IX.2 yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes uraian dan wawancara, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif berdasarkan tiga indikator kesulitan belajar yaitu, memahami konsep, menerapkan prinsip dan menyelesaikan masalah verbal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan pada ketiga indikator tersebut. Sebanyak 7 siswa berada pada kategori kemampuan tinggi mengalami kesulitan belajar dominan terletak pada indikator penyelesaian masalah verbal, 11 siswa kategori sedang terdapat pada indikator penerapan prinsip dan 12 siswa kategori rendah terdapat kesulitan pada indikator pemahaman konsep. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan belajar matematika siswa tidak hanya disebabkan oleh kemampuan berhitung yang rendah, tetapi juga oleh lemahnya pemahaman konsep dan ketidaktepatan dalam menerapkan prinsip matematika. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembelajaran yang lebih menekankan pada pemahaman konsep, latihan penerapan prinsip, serta kemampuan menyelesaikan masalah verbal.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce a valid Sigil Software-assisted e-Module on the subject of Quadratic Equations and Functions at XI Hospitality 1 SMK Negeri 6 Padang. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) based on the Plomp model. The stages used in the plomp model are only stages 1 to stage 2, namely the initial investigation and prototyping phase concurrently testing the validity. The instruments used were validation questionnaires and interview guidelines. Based on the validator's assessment, the results of the validity of the sigil software-assisted e-Module were 90.34% in a very valid category. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the sigil software-assisted e-Module on the material Equations and Quadratic Functions in class XI Hospitality 1 SMK Negeri 6 Padang was declared valid to be used and tested by teachers and students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the teaching materials used at SMAN 1 Bayang in mathematics learning that have not met the needs of students. This study aims to develop a valid and practical E-Module assisted by flipHTML5 on the composition of functions and inverse functions for class XI SMAN 1 Bayang. This type of research is R & D (Research & Development) development research. The development model used is the Plomp development model. In this study, the stages carried out were only at the preliminary research and prototyping phase stages which included validity and practicality tests. Data analysis techniques used were analysis of student characteristics, ATP analysis, analysis of printed books, analysis of interviews with educators and students, analysis of validity results and analysis of practicality results. Based on the results of the data analysis, it was obtained that the developed E-Module obtained a validity result of 86.03% by the validator with a very valid category. The final practicality score for educators was 72.50%, categorized as practical, the final practicality score for students in the one-on-one evaluation was 82.96%, categorized as very practical, and the final practicality score for students in the small group evaluation was 88.89%, categorized as very practical. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the flipHTML5-assisted E-Module on the composition of functions and inverse functions for class XI of SMAN 1 Bayang is declared valid and practical for use by educators and students in learning activities.

Abstract

This study was based on the low learning outcomes of students in solving problems related to flat-sided shapes. The purpose of this study was to determine the learning outcomes of students in class IX.7 at SMPN 5 Padang in solving problems related to flat-sided shapes. The method used in this study is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The study subjects were selected using purposive sampling, with a sample size of 25 students. The instrument used in this study is a learning achievement test. Student learning outcomes were analyzed using a 4-point scale covering three indicators, namely: (1) the ability to write down the aspects known in the questions, (2) the ability to answer the questions, and (3) the ability to conclude the problems in the questions. The selection of study subjects was based on the number of students, categorized by their abilities: two students with very high abilities, two students with high abilities, two students with moderate abilities, two students with low abilities, and two students with very low abilities. Based on the test analysis results, it was found that 32% of students achieved high learning outcomes, 28% achieved moderate learning outcomes, 28% achieved low learning outcomes, and 12% achieved very low learning outcomes. Students with high learning outcomes tended to make mistakes in the indicator of the ability to summarize problems. Students with moderate criteria were less careful in answering questions and did not solve problems accurately. Students with low criteria often made mistakes in answering questions and solving problems. Meanwhile, students with very low criteria had difficulty writing down the known aspects of the question, answering questions, and correctly concluding problems.

Abstract

Technology integration in education has become essential to support inclusive and adaptive learning. However, many teachers still face challenges in developing differentiated teaching materials that address their students' diverse learning styles and abilities. This issue stems from teachers' limited knowledge and skills in effectively utilizing innovative technology. This training program aims to enhance the skills of teachers at SMP Negeri 26 Padang in creating differentiated teaching materials through the use of the Wizer.me application. The method employed is a participatory approach consisting of three main phases: training planning, implementation (including theoretical sessions and interactive practice using Wizer.me), and evaluation. The results indicate that the training successfully equipped teachers with strong competencies in operating the Wizer.me application. The program significantly impacted teachers' understanding and skills in utilizing the platform to produce interactive, varied, and student-centered teaching materials. Additionally, participants expressed a high level of satisfaction with the program. Thus, this training program has made a tangible contribution to empowering teachers to leverage technology in creating innovative educational content.
