Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to understand mathematical concepts in learning mathematics.The purpose of this study was to determine how thw mathematical ability of class XI IIS students at SMA PGRI 3 Padang. The subjects of this study were students of class XI IIS SMA PGRI 3 Padang, totalling 19 students. The research method used is descriptive method using a qualitative approach. The instrument used in this study was a test of the ability to understand concepts in the form of 4 questions in the form of descriptions and interview. The test results were analysed based on indicators of concept understanding. The results of this study indicate hat the results of data analysis on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of the 19 students tested obtained the total qualification score of 50% in the medium category. The qualifications for the total score of students mathematical concept understanding abilities based on the analysis of eachindicator on concept undestandig are as follow: on the indicator of restating a concept, 54% is in the medium category, classifying objects according to certain properties (according to the concept) is 82% are in the high category, providing examples and non-examples of the concept are 30 in the less category, presenting the concept in the form of a mathematical representation is 35% in the less category, developing necessary or sufficient requirements of a conceptis 73% in the medium category, and applying the concept or problem-solving algorithm is 24% in the lo category.

Abstract

The difficulty of students in operating Microsoft Excel programs as one of the data processing programs as a major factor in the low ability of students to process data. The training activities aim to make participants comprehensively understand the material presented, so that it can be implemented applicatively in the world of work and have the professional ability to operate Microsoft Excel and deliver participants to the International Microsoft Office Specialist Excel Certification. The method used in the implementation of this activity is teaching in a computer laboratory, tutorials (mentoring) using Microsoft Excel 2010 modules, discussions and questions and answers. The activity was carried out at the STKIP PGRI West Sumatra Laboratory. The population is the 2017 STKIP PGRI West Sumatra Mathematics Education Study Program students who will graduate. Based on the activities carried out, it was obtained that out of 44 participants who were registered to take part in the training and international certification exam, only 29 participants took part in the training. Of the 29 participants who could take the international certification exam only 22 participants. There were 45% of participants who passed the certification exam so that they received the MOS Certified certificate from Microsoft. While 32% of participants received a Certificate of Completion certificate and as many as 23% of participants received a Certificate of Attendance certificate. So it can be concluded that the training provided is able to improve the ability of students to operate Microsoft Excel.

Abstract

Students' lack of motivation and independence to learn is a major factor in their low desire and interest in participating in the learning process. One form of Indonesia's rapid technological advancement is the use of smartphones. Moreover, smartphones are currently a very important necessity, even in the field of education, which has a huge impact and benefits on human life. Therefore, teachers play an important role in creating learning media by utilizing smartphone technology to support student learning activities. This training activity aims to prepare teachers to be more creative and innovative in developing teaching materials or learning media that use technology to motivate and facilitate students' learning at any time and from any location. The method used in this activity is by means of socialization and training, discussion, and questions and answers conducted at MTSN 1 Padang for MTSN 1 Padang teachers. Based on the activities carried out, the results obtained showed that the understanding and skills of teachers in making learning media using SIGIL software increased. As many as 75% of teachers are proficient in using SIGIL software to create e-modules that already contain audio, text, and video. So it can be concluded that the training provided is able to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers in designing digital-based teaching materials for the learning process.

Abstract

Materi bangun ruang sisi datar menjadi kendala dalam mata pelajaran matematika dan kurangnya penggunaan media berbasis teknologi untuk membantu proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbasis android menggunakan Smart Apps Creator yang valid pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu research and development (R&D) dengan model Plomp (2013). Tahap yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini hanya 2 tahap yaitu preliminary research dan prototyping phase yang merangkap sampai uji validitas. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu angket validitas dan pedoman wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil validasi media pembelajaran oleh validator, didapatkan nilai akhir 95% dengan kategori sangat valid. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android menggunakan Smart Apps Creator pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar telah teruji kevalidannya untuk digunakan oleh guru dan siswa sebagai media pembelajaran bangun ruang sisi datar.

Abstract

Tantangan yang dihadapi oleh para guru dalam mengadaptasi teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran, serta pentingnya upaya berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan ketrampilan mereka, menjadi dasar utama pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini. Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan ketrampilan para guru melalui penggunaan aplikasi Liveworksheet sebagai alat untuk menciptakan bahan ajar yang inovatif. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan perencanaan program pelatihan yang terstruktur, persiapan, sosialisasi dan pelatihan, serta evaluasi program pelatihan. Pelatihan disusun dengan penekanan pada penguasaan Liveworksheet, integrasi dalam pembelajaran, serta strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelatihan ini adalah para guru telah mampu menguasai penggunaan Liveworksheet dengan baik dan sebanyak 85% dari jumlah guru yang terlibat sudah mahir dalam menggunakan nya. Pelatihan yang dilakukan berkontribusi positif terhadap pemahaman dan ketrampilan para guru dalam mengadaptasi teknologi Liveworksheet. Disimpulkan bahwa program pelatihan aplikasi Liveworksheet dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif bagi guru dalam mendesain pembelajaran dan menciptakan bahan ajar inovatif yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini dapat mengembangkan profesionalisme para guru di era digital saat ini.

Abstract

Kurangnya ketertarikan siswa untuk mempelajari materi trigonometri melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran berbasis android menggunakan Adobe Flash CS6 yang valid dan praktis serta untuk mengetahui tingkat kemandirian belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation dan Evaluation). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMAN 3 Kota Solok. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket validasi, angket uji praktikalitas dan angket kemandirian belajar siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian validator yaitu ahli media dan ahli materi diperoleh persentase penilaian akhir kevalidan media pembelajaran 87,5% dengan kategori sangat valid. Nilai akhir uji coba kepraktisan dengan guru dan siswa diperoleh persentase 91,71% dengan kategori sangat praktis, hasil uji kemandirian belajar siswa diperoleh nilai rata-rata 84,78% dengan kategori sangat mandiri. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android menggunakan Adobe Flash CS6 pada materi trigonometri sudah valid dan praktis serta dapat membantu siswa untuk belajar secara mandiri.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of students to solve math problems in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study was to find out whether students' mathematical problem solving abilities after being applied a realistic mathematics learning approach (PMR) were better than students' mathematical problem solving abilities before being applied a realistic mathematics learning approach (PMR) in class VIII students at SMP N 1 Dua Koto, Pasaman Regency. This type of research is a pre-experimental study with a One Group Pretest-Postest design. The population of this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Dua Koto, Pasaman Regency. The technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The sample chosen for this study was class VIII 2. The research instrument used was the pre-test and post-test in the form of a description test. Furthermore, testing the hypothesis using the t test. Based on the data analysis carried out, it was obtained t_count = 10.297 and t_table = 1.71, because t_count>t_table then reject H_0 at a significant level of 0.05 so it can be concluded that whether students' mathematical problem solving abilities after being applied a realistic mathematics learning approach (PMR) were better than students' mathematical problem solving abilities before being applied a realistic mathematics learning approach (PMR) in class VIII students at SMP N 1 Dua Koto, Pasaman Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning interest on understanding of mathematical concepts in class XI PH 1 students at SMKN 6 Padang. Research subjects were selected using purposive sampling with a total of 26 students. The approach used in this research is quantitative and analyzed by simple linear regression using the R program. The technique of collecting data by providing non-test instruments in the form of questionnaires on students' learning interests and test instruments about number patterns to measure understanding of mathematical concepts. Hypothesis testing is done by simple regression, by first looking at the pattern of relationships between variables and determining the correlation coefficient. The result showed that there is no significant effect of learning interest on understanding mathematical concepts with regression equation Y=35.3555+0.3379X. So, it can be concluded that learning interest has no significant effect on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Project-based learning (PjBL) has been considered an effective learning model to improve the quality of learning in today’s world of education. This study aims to identify research trends of PjBL, research methods, elements or essential skills that can be improved, and a framework for implementing PjBL from 2016 to 2023. This review procedure includes searching, screening, evaluating, and synthesizing publications on PjBL. There were 34 articles published in Scopus-indexed popular journal. The research shows that the trends of PjBL from 2016 to 2023 have been conducted by using qualitative research for 26.47%, quantitative research for 35.29%, mixed methods for 8.82%, action research for 5.88%, descriptive research for 17.65%, and development research for 5.88%. The main elements that could be developed for students from PjBL are creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, communication, concept understanding, innovative thinking, motivation, problem-solving, and self-confidence. In this study, there are five frameworks studied. By criticizing those frameworks, a new framework is proposed called project-based learning and simulation (PjBLS).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil belajar matematika peserta didik masih rendah dan motivasi belajar matematika peserta didik masih kurang pada peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 2 Batang Anai. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil belajar peserta didik setelah menerapkan model Project Based Learning  lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum menerapkan model Project Based Learning pada peserta didik kelas XI/F2 SMAN 2 Batang Anai dan untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar peserta didik setelah menerapkan model Project Based Learning lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum menerapkan model Project Based Learning pada peserta didik Kelas XI/F2 SMAN 2 Batang Anai. Jenis penelitian adalah pre-eksperimen, dengan desain penelitian yang digunakan the one-group pretest-postest design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI/F2. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini purposive sampling, yang dipilih sebagai kelas sampel adalah kelas XI/F2. Instrumen penelitian adalah  pre-test dan post-test serta angket untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar peserta didik. Analisis data hasil belajar dan motivasi belajar yang digunakan adalah uji-t berpasangan. Berdasarkan analisis data hasil belajar diperoleh hitung  dan motivasi belajar diperoleh hitung  pada  tabel=1,708 pada taraf nyata α = 0,05. Karena hitung tabel maka tolak H0 artinya hasil belajar peserta didik sesudah menerapkan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum menerapkan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dan motivasi belajar peserta didik sesudah menerapkan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) lebih baik dibandingkan sebelum menerapkan model Project Based Learning (PjBL) pada peserta didik kelas XI/F2 SMAN 2 Batang Anai.Kata kunci: Hasil belajar, Motivasi belajar, Project Based Learning (PjBL)
