Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di MTs N 1 Surakarta masih didominasi oleh metode konvensional berbasis ceramah yang membuat siswa kurang aktif, jarang berdiskusi, dan memiliki kreativitas rendah. Kondisi ini menjadi tantangan serius di tengah tuntutan pendidikan abad ke-21 yang menekankan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, serta kolaborasi. Untuk menjawab tantangan tersebut, diperlukan inovasi pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif dan pengembangan potensi siswa secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap hasil belajar dan kreativitas siswa kelas VII pada materi Ekologi dan Keanekaragaman Hayati. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu kelas VII Sains 1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan model PjBL dan kelas VII Sains 2 sebagai kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional, masing-masing terdiri dari 28 siswa. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar berbentuk pilihan ganda dan angket kreativitas yang telah divalidasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, homogenitas, dan Mann-Whitney U Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata posttest hasil belajar dan kreativitas siswa pada kelas eksperimen (90,36) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (78,93), dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, yang menunjukkan adanya perbedaan signifikan. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa model PjBL berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar dan kreativitas siswa. Model ini terbukti efektif dalam mendorong pemahaman konsep, berpikir kritis, serta meningkatkan kreativitas melalui keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proyek yang kontekstual dan bermakna. Oleh karena itu, penerapan PjBL direkomendasikan dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kreativitas secara simultan.

Abstract

The use of technology in science education facilitates students' understanding of abstract material such as the human digestive system. This study investigates the effect of integrating Augmented Reality (AR)-based e-flashcards into the Team Games Tournament (TGT) model on students' biology learning outcomes. The research employed a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design, involving 33 eleventh-grade students at SMAIT Al Hikmah Boyolali, Central Java, conducted over one week in March 2025. A 15-item multiple-choice test based on Bloom's taxonomy (C4–C5) was used to measure learning outcomes. The instrument was validated by expert judgment and item analysis. Findings showed an increase in the average posttest score (76.38 ± 6.50) compared to the pretest (35.59 ± 11.67). The Wilcoxon signed-rank test revealed a significant difference (p < 0.001), with a large effect size (r = 0.78), indicating the effectiveness of the intervention. The results suggest that AR-based e-flashcards, when combined with the TGT model, enhance student engagement, collaboration, and understanding of abstract concepts. This approach offers a promising strategy for improving learning outcomes in high school biology instruction.

Abstract

Background: The purpose of this study is to prove the difference between explicit expressions and implicit perceptions of students in the EDOM (Lecturer Evaluation by Students) assessment component. Methodology: This study uses a quantitative approach with a comparative design. The data in this study consisted of: (1) EDOM filling data, (2) EDOM refill data, and (3) EDOM interpretation data by the author. The subject and informant in this study are students of the PGSD (Elementary School Teacher Education) Study Program at UMS (University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta). Samples are selected purposively. The validity of the data in this study was ascertained using factor analysis. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. Result: From the calculation of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test, it shows that there is a difference between explicit expression and implicit perception of students on the criteria of learning methods, interaction with students, and satisfaction levels. Similarly, the comparison of the average scores between explicit expression and students' implicit perceptions showed a significant difference in all criteria with better explicit expression. Recommendation: Further research is recommended to identify the psychological, social, and external factors that influence student non-conformity in EDOM assessments

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a multimedia interactive science learning product that is cross-platform-based (handphone and Laptop) with Articulate Storyline 3 Software. The research method used was Research and Development (R&D) with a waterfall process model from Pressman. The data analysis applied to this study consists of quantitative and qualitative data. The research results: 1). Media expert testing obtained an average value of 3.56, with a very decent category; 2). Material expert testing obtained an average value of 3.77, with a very decent category; 3) Limited Scale Test, using usability assessment on students and teachers, obtained an average system usability scale (SUS) value of 75.625, with an excellent category, so it can be concluded that interactive science learning multimedia on human reproductive system material developed is acceptable (proper) used in the process of teaching and learning activities in the ninth grade of junior high school.

Abstract

Blended learning is a combination of different learning environments such as face-to-face learning (classroom lesson) with computer-based learning medium in the classroom combined with e-learning learning using the OpenLearning of Learning Management System (LMS) media compared to distance learning (virtual). This study aims to determine the effect of learning with the blended learning model in terms of learning motivation on student learning outcomes in the biology education study program of FKIP UMS. The type of this research is quasi-experimental quantitative research. The results of the study include: a) There is an effect of using Blended Learning with E-learning learning models on student learning outcomes; and b). There is an influence of strong, medium, and low learning motivation on student learning outcomes. It was concluded that learning the Blended Learning model by combining LMS OpenLearning and classroom lessons has an impact on increasing student motivation and learning outcomes.
