Abstract

This community partnership program aims for downstream activities and a science teacher training mentoring program at ULC Sekolah Sahabat Sabah Malaysia. In addition, based on observations from previous research, information was obtained about the lack of science practicum subjects and the procurement of teaching aids is very dependent on the ability of the school and the creativity of the teacher concerned. In this regard, science teachers, especially physics, biology and chemistry are required to have creativity and skills in making and using teaching aids, in this case also produced a module for the use of teaching aids and videos for making teaching aids. Method what is used in this activity is a training (workshop), namely, providing training in making simple science teaching aids, then mentoring is carried out. The number of participants was 37 teachers in the plantation area or ULC at the Sabah Malaysia Friendship School which was carried out online using a zoom meeting. This activity is carried out for 1 day with 8 JP. Participants' responses were measured using a questionnaire at the end of the training. Participants said that the material discussed in the training said 82.21% was very good important, and 17.79% important. This condition shows that this material is right on target and useful for the audience of participants. The informants conveyed the training method 80.81% said they were very satisfied and 19.19% said they were satisfied with the training method. In addition, the response of participants to the resource persons/training instructors was 84.92 % who stated that they were very satisfied and 15.08 % of the participants stated that they were satisfied, so it can be concluded that the training used was very good. This activity is expected to increase knowledge, skills in making props by utilizing nature and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

Most of the Physics Subject Teacher Conference (MGMP) teachers need help understanding the making of the Merdeka Curriculum teaching module and still depend on lesson plans from the 2013 Curriculum. This hinders the implementation of the new curriculum designed to improve teaching quality. This study aims to analyze the independent curriculum teaching module using the experiential learning cycle in the physics MGMP. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive research method with a participatory research design. The research subjects involved 15 physics teachers from MGMP who participated in the two-day training, totalling 16 lesson hours. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, with instruments in the form of interview guides and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using the thematic analysis method. The results showed that 88% of the participants considered the material discussed very important, and 90% expressed great satisfaction with the training method. This study concludes that training is efficacious in improving teachers' understanding and skills in developing teaching modules relevant to the Merdeka Curriculum. The implication of this research is the need for continuous development of training programs to support the implementation of the new curriculum and improve the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Program kemitraan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk kegiatan hilirisasi dan program pendampingan pelatihan guru IPA di ULC Sekolah Sahabat. Selain itu, berdasarkan observasi dari penelitian sebelumnya diperoleh informasi tentang kurangnya mata pelajaran praktikum IPA dan pengadaan alat peraga ini sangat bergantung pada kemampuan sekolah serta kreativitas guru yang bersangkutan. Dalam kaitan ini, guru IPA khususnya fisika, biologi, dan kimia dituntut kreativitas dan keterampilannya dalam membuat dan menggunakan alat peraga. Dalam kegiatan ini, juga dihasilkan modul penggunan alat peraga dan video pembuatan alat peraga. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah pelatihan (workshop) yakni, pemberiaan pelatihan pembuatan alat peraga sedrhana IPA, selanjutnya dilakukan pendampingan. Jumlah peserta sebanyak 37 orang guru di daerah perkebunan atau ULC Sekolah Sahabat yang dilaksanakan melalui daring menggunakan zoom meeting. Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama 1 hari dengan 8 JP. Peserta mengatakan bahwa materi yang dibahas dalam pelatihan mengatakan 82,21 % sangat penting, dan 17,79 % penting. Para narasumber menyampaikan metode pelatihan 80,81 % menyatakan sangat puas dan 19,19 % menyatakan puas dengan metode pelatihan. Selain itu, respon peserta terhadap narasumber/ instruktur pelatihan sebesarr 84,92 % menyatakan sangat puas dan 15,08 % peserta menyatakan puas.  Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan yang digunakan sudah sangat baik. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam membuat alat peraga dengan memanfaatkan alam dan lingkungan di sekitar.
