Abstract

This study examines the influence of risk management, visitor satisfaction, and destination accessibility on the reputation of Bali’s tourism industry. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 140 respondents and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3). The findings reveal that visitor satisfaction is the most influential factor, followed by destination accessibility and risk management. Visitor satisfaction significantly enhances the reputation by providing high-quality experiences and fostering positive word-of-mouth. Destination accessibility is vital in ensuring seamless travel and inclusivity, while risk management builds trust through effective safety measures. The study underscores the need for an integrated approach that balances these factors to sustain Bali's position as a leading global tourist destination. Recommendations for policymakers and industry stakeholders are provided to enhance reputation through strategic interventions.

Abstract

This community service program aimed to enhance the capacity of local communities in managing guesthouses based on local wisdom as part of a sustainable and environmentally friendly hospitality industry development strategy. The program was conducted in Melinggih Kelod Village, Payangan District, Gianyar Regency, an area renowned for its rich cultural and natural potential yet still facing challenges in the professional and ethical management of tourism accommodations. A total of 30 participants, consisting of local business actors and community members, took part in a series of socialization and training sessions. The training materials covered fundamental principles of sustainable tourism, cultural preservation strategies in tourism services, the integration of local values into guest service practices, and digital marketing techniques based on cultural content and authentic experiences. The method used a participatory approach involving case studies, simulations, and field-based mentoring. The results indicated that the community possesses strong potential to develop culturally and environmentally based guesthouses, provided that capacity building through practical training is offered. These findings are supported by several theories, including Community-Based Tourism (CBT), which emphasizes active community participation; Cultural Capital, which highlights the value of cultural assets as economic resources; and the Triple Bottom Line framework, which balances economic, social, and environmental aspects. This approach enables the development of competitive local guesthouse businesses while contributing to cultural preservation and sustainable development.

Abstract

Religious diversity in Indonesia represents both a strength and a challenge in fostering national unity, particularly in the context of higher education. As the world's largest archipelagic nation with six officially recognized religions, Indonesia upholds Pancasila as its foundational philosophy, with the first principle being "Belief in One Supreme God." This study investigates the role of student religious organizations at Politeknik Pariwisata Bali (Poltekpar Bali) in reinforcing this principle while simultaneously promoting interfaith harmony and inclusivity among students from various faith backgrounds. Employing a qualitative research methodology, this study utilizes literature review and participatory observation to examine the contributions of student-led religious organizations, including Rohkristo (Christian and Catholic students), KAMHD (Hindu students), IKLIM (Muslim students), and KMB (Buddhist students). Findings indicate that these organizations not only serve as spaces for spiritual growth and religious expression but also play a significant role in fostering cross-cultural understanding through a variety of collaborative initiatives. These include interfaith dialogues, joint community service projects, disaster relief efforts, environmental campaigns, and shared celebrations of religious holidays. Such activities cultivate an atmosphere of respect, empathy, and peaceful coexistence among students of different beliefs. By engaging in constructive interreligious engagement, student religious organizations at Poltekpar Bali contribute meaningfully to the embodiment of Pancasila values in a pluralistic educational environment. This study underscores the importance of empowering student-led religious communities as key actors in promoting social cohesion, interfaith solidarity, and the ethical development of future tourism professionals in Indonesia's multicultural society.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a sustainable business model for the Ananda Seva Dharma Foundation, an orphanage located in Sangsit Village, Buleleng, Bali, by strengthening business management and marketing strategies for their home industry product, B'Onic. The foundation has potential in human resources and agricultural assets, but faces challenges in the form of unstable product sales, limited digital marketing, and the absence of a structured management system. To overcome these problems, a community service program was designed using the Triple Layer Business Model Canvas (TLBMC) approach, which integrates economic, social, and environmental values, combined with a digital marketing strategy. The activity methodology included socialization, training, and mentoring stages carried out over six months. The results of the activity showed that this program succeeded in increasing the foundation's business management capacity, strengthening brand identity, and expanding market reach through digital marketing. The foster children gained entrepreneurial skills, while the foundation achieved better organizational efficiency and broader market opportunities. Overall, this program contributes to promoting the financial independence of foundations and social impact through the integration of sustainable business practices and digital entrepreneurship. The novelty of this research lies in the combination of TLBMC with digital marketing in the context of community service, so that it can become a model that can be replicated by other social enterprises.

Abstract

This study performs a bibliometric analysis to examine global research networks in entrepreneurship, emphasizing the changing collaborations among countries and regions. The study illustrates the pivotal importance of countries such as the United States, Germany, and the United Kingdom in research through the mapping of co-authorship networks from academic papers, while also acknowledging the growing impact of rising economies like China, India, and Brazil. The findings highlight the interdisciplinary character of entrepreneurship research, connecting it to economics, technology, and sustainable development. The study underscores the significance of entrepreneurial education, advocating for the incorporation of global viewpoints and technological innovations inside academic courses. The study provides useful insights into global research trends but acknowledges limitations, such as dependence on indexed databases and the omission of non-collaborative contributions. This analysis offers actionable insights for politicians, educators, and researchers aiming to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, highlighting the necessity of international cooperation to tackle global issues.

Abstract

This study examined the Artificial Intelligence (AI) skills gap among event professionals in Indonesia and developed a contextual training framework to address this issue. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with event professionals in Bali and Jakarta. The findings indicated that although AI was widely perceived as useful for improving efficiency, significant skill gaps remained at both operational (e.g., prompt engineering, content creation) and strategic levels (e.g., data analytics, AI integration). These gaps were primarily influenced by limited time, high workload, and resistance to technological change. Furthermore, the study identified that existing training programs were often too generic and lacked practical relevance. Therefore, an effective AI training framework should be context-specific, flexible, and application-oriented, incorporating micro-learning formats, case-based learning, and industry practitioner involvement. The study contributed theoretically to AI skills gap literature and practically offered a structured training model to enhance workforce readiness in the event industry.

Abstract

This study explores the optimization of social engagement strategies through a community-based English education program Beraban English Club implemented by Nuanu Social Fund in Beraban Village, Tabanan, Bali. Utilizing a qualitative-descriptive research approach, data were collected through participatory observation, pre-test and final-test evaluation, in-depth interviews, and activity documentation involving 7 active youth participants from Karang Taruna GAPERA and key stakeholders from Nuanu Social Fund. Drawing on experiential learning theory (Kolb, 1984), the study examined how participatory and community-based learning approaches could enhance emotional involvement, peer collaboration, and contextual learning experiences. The results demonstrate that while social engagement levels remained moderate due to external factors related to local customs and responsibilities, the program achieved significant improvements in English proficiency (from 61% to 82%, representing a 34% increase) and strengthened community connections. The study identifies critical factors influencing engagement success, including participant recruitment methods, scheduling considerations relative to local cultural calendars, and the importance of personalized motivational strategies. These findings contribute to understanding how educational social events can effectively combine language skill development with sustainable community social impact. This research offers both theoretical implications for community learning models and practical recommendations for future initiatives by Nuanu Social Fund and similar social organizations seeking to enhance youth empowerment through culturally-sensitive, participatory education programs.
