Abstract

Abstract. Cognitive ability problems (logical thinking) such as looking for differences, analyzing, solving problems, and recognizing cause and effect in material are also found in group B children in Minhajul Muslim Islamic Kindergarten Subang Reality shows that the ability is still known with children not understanding in observing a simple action in their environmentthis study aims to determine the cognitive development of group B children in Minhajul Muslim Islamic Kindergarten (logical thinking) in the model This research is a quasi-experimental quantitative research The research design used is randomized pre-test, post test control group design, data collection techniques used in testing, namely converting raw scores into z and t scores, conducting statistical tests, and hypothesis testing. The cognitive ability of group B children in Minhajul Muslim Subang Islamic Kindergarten after the application of the picture and picture type cooperative learning model showed an increase based on the results of the study showed that the average score of the pretest control group was 36.69 and the experimental group posttest was 41.19 meaning that there was an increase in children's logical thinking after getting the Picture and picture Type Cooperative Learning Model treatment. Thus, it can be concluded that the provision of Picture and Picture Type Cooperative Learning Model provides a significant improvement to the development of logical thinking in experimental group children. Based on the results of the researchers, the picture and picture type cooperative learning model is effective to become one of the models used in improving cognitive abilities (logical thinking). Abstrak. Permasalahan kemampuan kognitif (berfikir logis) seperti mencari perbedaan, menganalisa, memecahkan masalah, dan mengenal sebab-akibat dalam materi juga ditemukan pada anak kelompok B di TK Islam Minhajul Muslim Subang Realitas menunjukkan kemam puan masih diketahui dengan anak tidak mengerti dalam mengamati suatu tindakan sederhana yang ada di lingkungannya penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perkembangan kognitif anak kelompok B di TK Islam Minhajul Muslim (berpikir logis) dalam model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif quasi eksperimen desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah randomized pre-test, post test control group design, Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam pengujian yaitu mengubah skor mentah ke dalam z dan t skor, melakukan uji statistik, dan pengujian hipotesis. Kemampuan kognitif anak kelompok B di TK Islam Minhajul Muslim subang setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaraan kooperatif tipe picture and picture menunjukkan ada nya peningkatan berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelompok kontrol pretest 36.69 dan posttest kelompok eksperimen 41.19 artinya terjadi peningkatan berpikir logis anak setelah mendapatkan perlakuan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Picture and picture. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Picture and picture memberikan peningkatan secara signifikan terhadap perkembangan berpikir logis pada anak kelompok eksperimen. Berdasarkan hasil peneliti maka model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe picture and picture efektif untuk menjadi salah satu model yang digunakan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif (berpikir logis).

Abstract

When a disaster occurs, students are the most vulnerable to the effects, especially if the disaster occurs while the children are at school. With the large number of potential disasters that occur, disaster education is very important to do early on, and this is done by equipping early childhood teachers about disaster education and managing disaster-safe schools. In the end, education and management of disaster-safe schools can be conveyed to children through play activities according to the principles of learning for early childhood. Efforts to provide disaster education from an early age is an important and fundamental action that is not only an act of curriculum development or enrichment alone, but is also a preventive action for the life of every child in dealing with this phenomenon in the future, so that when faced with real events every child has optimal readiness to deal with it.

Abstract

Self-control is a critical skill essential for children to navigate the challenges posed by digital devices effectively. This study explores the role of Islamic values in fostering children's self- control to mitigate the negative consequences of modern digital interactions. The research involves a comprehensive literature review encompassing child development theories, Islamic teachings, and the implications of digital technology on young minds. Children's use of digital devices is a certainty for interacting with the online world. The internet offers various benefits but also brings several challenges and risks, especially for children and adolescents who lack strong self-control. Islamic teachings contain commands to develop self-control, which involves restraining oneself from actions prohibited by Allah and striving to follow Allah's commands. This study seeks to answer the following questions: 1) How is the process of developing children's self- control? 2) How is self-control developed according to Islamic guidance? 3) What are the negative impacts of digital device usage on children? A qualitative approach with literature review methods is used in this study. The results show that: 1) Self-control can be fostered through modeling, reinforcement, cognitive-behavioral techniques, delaying gratification, setting clear and consistent expectations and rules, etc.; 2) Parents need to guard their children's sight, hearing, and heart early through digital parenting. Parents play a crucial role in developing their children's conscience and preventing exposure to films, stories, games, and information that could damage their children's faith and morals. In conclusion, integrating Islamic values into children's education regarding self-control offers a holistic approach to safeguarding their well-being amidst the pervasive influence of digital devices. This approach not only supports their moral development but also prepares them to navigate the digital world responsibly and ethically.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to examine the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum in science learning at Al-Biruni Science Kindergarten B in Bandung City. The Merdeka Curriculum is designed to provide educators with flexibility in creating child-centered learning, supporting independence, and developing children's potential according to their developmental stages. This research focuses on exploring how kindergarten teachers apply the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum in science learning, the challenges they face, and the impact on children's learning processes. A qualitative descriptive research approach was employed, using data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were teachers and students in Kindergarten B who have implemented the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. The findings reveal that the implementation of this curriculum promotes project-based learning involving exploration and play activities. Teachers act as facilitators, guiding and directing children in the learning process, with the children themselves as the central focus. Challenges encountered include limited facilities and a lack of teacher understanding regarding the application of the Merdeka Curriculum. Despite these challenges, science learning based on the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum is considered effective in enhancing children's curiosity, critical thinking skills, and social abilities. This study recommends improving teacher training and providing supporting facilities to optimize the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar dalam pembelajaran sains di Taman Kanak-Kanak B Sains Al-Biruni Kota Bandung. Kurikulum Merdeka dirancang untuk memberikan fleksibilitas kepada pendidik dalam menyusun pembelajaran yang berpusat pada anak, mendukung kemandirian, dan mengembangkan potensi anak sesuai tahap perkembangannya. Fokus penelitian ini adalah mengeksplorasi bagaimana guru TK menerapkan prinsip-prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka dalam pembelajaran sains, tantangan yang dihadapi, serta dampak yang dihasilkan terhadap proses belajar anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa di TK B yang telah menerapkan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kurikulum ini mendorong pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang melibatkan eksplorasi dan aktivitas bermain. Guru berperan sebagai center yang menjadi anak pusat dalam membimbing serta mengarahkan anak dalam proses pembelajaran. Kendala yang dihadapi meliputi keterbatasan fasilitas dan kurangnya pemahaman guru tentang penerapan kurikulum merdeka. Meskipun demikian, pembelajaran sains berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar dinilai efektif dalam meningkatkan rasa ingin tahu, keterampilan berpikir kritis, dan kemampuan sosial anak. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan pelatihan guru dan pengadaan fasilitas pendukung untuk menunjang implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar yang optimal.

Abstract

Parents of young children are in a dilemma, on the one hand encouraging their children to use digital media for educational and social purposes. On the other hand, parents try to minimize risks and control the possible negative impacts of digital media use on them. Parental mediation is a parenting strategy to reduce the negative effects of media on children. This study aims to describe the phenomenon of digital parenting in relation to the influence of parents' knowledge and attitudes on parental mediation in digital parenting. To this end, a quantitative approach utilizing a survey method was employed. The population of this study comprises parents with children aged 0–7 years residing in Bandung City. A multistage random sampling technique was used to select the sample. A total of 407 parents of children aged 0–7 years participated as respondents in this study. The respondents' characteristics varied widely in terms of age, education level, occupation, and residence. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale, distributed via Google Forms. The results indicate that parents' tendency to mediate their children's interactions with online media falls into the moderate category. Parents' knowledge of digital parenting is not yet comprehensive and has not significantly impacted the practice of parental mediation. A significant effect of knowledge on parental mediation was found, mediated by attitudes.

Abstract

Abstrak. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah tingginya angka stunting di Indonesia, dimana stunting didefinisikan sebagai tinggi badan anak di bawah -2 SD pada kurva pertumbuhan WHO akibat kekurangan gizi kronis dan berbagai faktor terkait. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya deteksi dini dan peran aktif orang tua, kader kesehatan, dan guru PAUD dalam pencegahan kekurangan gizi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk program, perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan hambatan dalam pencegahan kekurangan gizi balita di PAUD tersebut. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi partisipan, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi implementasi program Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT), dengan beberapa PAUD yang melaksanakannya secara konsisten dan terstandarisasi, sementara yang lain masih perlu peningkatan dalam konsistensi, pengawasan jenis makanan, dan keterlibatan orang tua. Perencanaan pencegahan mencakup pemeriksaan kesehatan rutin, kebiasaan makan sehat, dan deteksi dini tumbuh kembang (DDTK/SDIDTK), yang sebagian besar dijalankan berkolaborasi dengan Puskesmas. Pelaksanaan deteksi dini bervariasi, dengan beberapa PAUD melakukan pemeriksaan mandiri dan lainnya berkolaborasi dengan Puskesmas. Evaluasi program menggunakan model IPP (Input, Proses, Produk), mengidentifikasi keterlibatan orang tua yang masih belum optimal. Hambatan utama meliputi keterbatasan dana, kesulitan mengajak orang tua berkolaborasi, dan minimnya pengetahuan guru tentang stunting, terutama di kalangan guru lanjut usia. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan keterlibatan orang tua, pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal seperti bercocok tanam, dan perluasan akses layanan kesehatan. Abstract. This study is motivated by the high prevalence of stunting in Indonesia, defined as a child's height below -2 standard deviations (SD) on the WHO growth curve, resulting from chronic malnutrition and various related factors. The research emphasizes the importance of early detection and the active roles of parents, health workers, and preschool teachers (PAUD) in preventing malnutrition. This study aims to describe the forms of programs, planning, implementation, evaluation, and obstacles in preventing malnutrition among toddlers at PAUD. Data were collected through interviews, participant observation, and document review. Results show variations in the implementation of the Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT), with some PAUDs implementing it consistently and in a standardized manner, while others require improvements in consistency, food type supervision, and parental involvement. Preventive planning includes routine health checks, healthy eating habits, and early detection of child development (DDTK/SDIDTK), mostly conducted in collaboration with the local health center (Puskesmas). Early detection implementation varies, with some PAUDs conducting self-examinations and others collaborating with the Puskesmas. Program evaluation uses the IPP model (Input, Process, Product), identifying suboptimal parental involvement. Major obstacles include limited funding, difficulties in engaging parents, and the limited knowledge of teachers about stunting, particularly among older teachers. The study recommends increased parental involvement, the utilization of local resources such as gardening, and expanded access to health services.

Abstract

Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia encounter ongoing obstacles in securing formal education for their children. These barriers stem primarily from unresolved citizenship status and insufficient documentation. While Community Learning Centers (CLCs) offer basic education for children aged eight and above, early childhood development support remains inadequate. Limited parental knowledge and mothers' demanding work schedules further compound these challenges. This community service program aims to strengthen parenting skills among migrant worker parents, empowering them to better support their children's development. The initiative encompasses structured parenting workshops and play-based learning sessions designed to enhance parent-child interactions while fostering children's self-confidence and learning motivation. The program's primary beneficiaries are migrant worker parents and their children enrolled at the Gombak Utara Community Learning Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The intervention employs the Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach, emphasizing active community participation and collaborative problem-solving. Findings demonstrate enhanced maternal understanding of quality parenting practices through nurturing interactions, play activities, supportive home learning environments, appropriate parenting approaches, and Islamic values integration. Participants exhibited notable shifts in parenting attitudes, evidenced by heightened awareness in evaluating their previously employed parenting methods.

Abstract

Observasi menunjukkan tidak semua orang tua memiliki pegangan yang jelas dalam mendidik anak usia dini, ada yang hanya mengikuti berbagai trend yang tidak selalu sejalan dengan nilai-nilai Al-Qur’an. Penelitian tindakan dilakukan dengan menggunakan metoda quasi eksperimen pre-post test one group disain. Penelitian dilaksanakan di salah satu Kelurahan Kota Bandung dengan melibatkan 30 orang tua wali anak usia dini yang bersekolah di PAUD. Perlakuan yang diberikan berupa pelatihan pola asuh Alquran yang meliputi urgensi pola asuh al-Qur'an di era industri 4.0, pengaruh pemanfaatan teknologi terhadap perkembangan anak usia dini, serta strategi asuhan dan penerapan Al-Qur’an. Data diolah dengan membandingkan perubahan tingkat pengetahuan orang tua antara hasil pre dan post test. Teknik analisis statistik yang dipilih adalah Wilcoxon signed rank test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara pengetahuan pengasuhan orangtua sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan yang menunjukkan efektivitas pelatihan namun penelitian ini belum mengukur sampai pada taraf perubahan perilaku.
