Abstract

The rapid development of the times impacts the changing culture of society. The tendency towards technology and social media has become a common thing in the current postmodern era. In the modern era, humans tend to use technology and mass media as something they must do. This research aims to find facts from Jean Baudrillard’s theory regarding hyperreality and simulacra that are currently occurring in people’s lives. The author uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Descriptive research aims to provide a comprehensive picture and clear exploration of a phenomenon or social reality that occurs. The results of the research are that people wear shimmery clothes because they want to achieve their existence as simulacra. People choose social media when wearing simulacra clothes on TikTok social media as hyperrality. This research concludes that simulacra and hyperreality occur in society which give rise to cultural shifts and have an impact on previous societal habits and tendencies towards technology and social media.

Abstract

This study explores the challenges faced by Indonesian language teachers in vocational schools (SMK) in implementing the Emancipated Learning Curriculum, focusing on three key areas: curriculum understanding, material management, and assessment practices. The curriculum emphasizes student-centered, contextual learning, yet its implementation presents obstacles for teachers. A mixed-methods approach was employed, involving a survey of 40 teachers from East Java. The findings reveal that more than half of teachers have only a partial understanding of the curriculum, with experienced teachers struggling the most to transition from traditional methods. In material management, 70% of respondents reported inadequate or partially adequate resources, with rural teachers facing severe shortages. Assessment practices were dominated by traditional tests, while project-based and performance-based assessments were rarely used due to lack of training, logistical challenges, and systemic emphasis on standardized evaluations. These challenges highlight the need for targeted interventions, including practical training on curriculum application, development and equitable distribution of curriculum-aligned resources, and supportive policies for flexible assessments. Addressing these issues is critical for achieving the curriculum’s goals of fostering critical thinking, creativity, and contextual learning. Future research should investigate long-term impacts and scalable solutions for effective curriculum implementation in diverse settings.

Abstract

This article builds on a study of the BlankOn Linux movement in Indonesia, examining how local open-source communities perform digital resistance through semiotic and ideological practices. Using Roland Barthes’ semiotic theory, Stuart Hall’s representation theory, and Antonio Gramsci’s concept of hegemony, the research analyzes community-produced artifacts, logos, naming conventions, website design, and documentation to uncover how they encode counter-hegemonic meanings. Data were collected through image analysis, discourse analysis of digital texts, and email interviews with community members. Findings show that BlankOn fuses local-nationalist values, such as the promotion of the Indonesian language and cultural identity, with global open-source principles like gift culture and collaborative production. This hybrid identity challenges the dominance of proprietary software ecosystems, positioning the movement as both a technological innovator and a cultural-political actor. The analysis reveals that resistance in BlankOn is enacted less through direct confrontation and more via symbolic strategies that naturalize alternative technological ideologies.

Abstract

Pendidikan menjadi sarana esensial dalam mewujudkan cita-cita bangsa Indonesia, dengan menyediakan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan nilai-nilai yang diperlukan generasi muda. Pernyataan ini mencerminkan pandangan bahwa pendidikan adalah proses yang membawa perubahan signifikan pada sikap dan perilaku manusia. Untuk itu diperlukan pendidikan yang tidak hanya terfokus pada transfer pengetahuan namun keterampilan pengembangan karakter, nilai moral, dan etika. Salah satunya dapat di realisasikan oleh tenaga pendidik untuk membimbing, membantu, dan mendukung peserta didik memenuhi materi akademik. Selain itu aktivitas non-akademik juga memainkan peran penting, berupa kegiatan yang memungkinkan peserta didik melakukan aktivitas belajar yang di dapatkan di luar jam pembelajaran, sebagai penerapan konkret ilmu pengetahuan. Upaya ini menjadikan individu mengalami transformasi personal, mencakup kesadaran sosial, pemahaman budaya, serta kemampuan berpartisipasi aktif dalam lingkungan sekolah. Salah satu aksi nyata dari penerapan pendidikan yang holistik adalah kegiatan literasi budaya dan kewarganegaraan menggunakan metode pendidikan masyarakat. Mahasiswa Asistensi Mengajar di SMAN 1 Kraksaan, merealisasikan literasi budaya dan kewarganegaraan, dengan meninjau mading sekolah yang belum di kelola secara maksimal.  Solusi tersebut berupa pendampingan peserta didik kelas XII untuk berkreasi dan berfikir kritis dalam merekonstruksikan konten positif tentang kepahlawanan. Pengintegrasian dimaksudkan untuk meningkatkan kegiatan literasi sekolah dan membentuk peserta didik menjadi pribadi berpengetahuan luas dan kritis.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of punden folklore in preserving and transmitting the religious, moral, and social values of rural Javanese Muslim communities, particularly in Dukun Subdistrict, Gresik, Indonesia. This research is significant because the punden tradition represents a form of local religiosity that harmoniously integrates Islamic teachings with Javanese cultural practices, reflecting a dynamic synthesis between Islam and indigenous wisdom. The study employs a qualitative method, with data collected through observation and in-depth interviews involving local residents, religious leaders, and custodians of sacred sites. The findings reveal that punden folklore functions as a living value system that sustains the religious and social life of the Dukun community. First, pilgrimages and veneration of saintly figures such as Mbah Asyari and Mbah Banjur instill values of devotion, spiritual remembrance, and ta’dhim (reverence) as expressions of lived religiosity. Second, sedekah bumi and pilgrimage rituals demonstrate a harmonious integration of Islamic practices with Javanese cultural symbols such as flower scattering, incense, wayang, and pencak silat. Third, these traditions function as moral education and social adhesive that cultivate patience, sincerity, and humility while reinforcing guyub rukun (social harmony) and ecological awareness across generations. In practical terms, the study affirms that the punden tradition serves not only as an element of intangible cultural heritage but also as a social and religious mechanism that strengthens community resilience. The originality of this research lies in its integrative approach, which positions punden folklore as a living social and spiritual practice, offering new insights into Islamic–Javanese syncretism and the preservation of religious cultural heritage in Indonesia.

Abstract

Abstrak: Dalam rangka meningkatkan soft skill kewirausahaan siswa MA PK Wachid Hasyim Surabaya, sebuah program pelatihan kewirausahaan diadakan dengan melibatkan 83 siswa dan didampingi oleh 8 guru. Program ini bertujuan untuk mempersiapkan siswa menghadapi tuntutan dunia bisnis yang semakin kompleks. Melalui program ini, diharapkan siswa dapat mengembangkan kemampuan kewirausahaan yang meliputi integritas, komunikasi, kesopanan, tanggung jawab, keterampilan sosial, sikap positif, profesionalisme, fleksibilitas, kerja tim, dan etos kerja. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam keterampilan kewirausahaan siswa, dengan persentase peningkatan skill mencapai 40%. Kegiatan ini melibatkan serangkaian tahap, dimulai dari pra kegiatan yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan pelatihan, hingga implementasi penggunaan platform blog. Selama kegiatan inti, siswa didampingi untuk memahami konsep desain dan penulisan blog, menguasai teknis penggunaan platform, serta mengembangkan kemampuan kreatif dalam merancang tata letak dan menghasilkan konten yang informatif. Selanjutnya, monitoring dan evaluasi dilakukan secara berkala untuk mengukur dampak program, yang menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam literasi digital dan kreativitas siswa.Abstract: In order to enhance the entrepreneurial soft skills of MA PK Wachid Hasyim Surabaya students, an entrepreneurship training program was conducted involving 83 students and accompanied by 8 teachers. This program aims to prepare students to face the demands of an increasingly complex business world. Through this program, it is expected that students can develop entrepreneurial skills including integrity, communication, etiquette, responsibility, social skills, positive attitude, professionalism, flexibility, teamwork, and work ethic. Evaluation results show a significant improvement in students' entrepreneurial skills, with a 40% increase in skill levels. The activities involve a series of stages, starting from pre-activities which include needs analysis, training planning, to the implementation of blog platform usage. During the core activities, students are assisted in understanding the concepts of blog design and writing, mastering the technical use of the platform, and developing creative skills in designing layouts and producing informative content. Furthermore, monitoring and evaluation are conducted periodically to measure the program's impact, showing a significant improvement in students' digital literacy and creativity.

Abstract

Abstrak: Di era globalisasi, peningkatan kompetensi dosen merupakan kunci untuk menghasilkan lulusan unggul. Artikel ini menguraikan program pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan meningkatkan mutu akademik perguruan tinggi swasta di Kediri Raya dengan meningkatkan soft skill dan hard skill dosen pembimbing PKM. Program ini dilaksanakan melalui kombinasi ceramah, praktik langsung, dan diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD) dalam lokakarya, pendampingan, serta simulasi pelaksanaan PKM. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 16 dosen dari PTS wilayah Kediri Raya. Data dikumpulkan melalui pre-test, post-test, survei angket, dan observasi kualitatif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi sebesar 58,6%, mencerminkan peningkatan pemahaman penjaminan mutu dan kemampuan supervisi. Tantangan yang dihadapi meliputi penerapan teknis QA dan kebutuhan tindak lanjut. Studi ini menyajikan model replikasi untuk pengembangan dosen serta rekomendasi praktis guna memperluas inisiatif serupa. Model ini diharapkan dapat diadaptasi oleh institusi lain guna mendukung perbaikan kualitas pendidikan tinggi.Abstract: In today’s globalized era, enhancing faculty competencies is essential for producing highly competitive graduates. This study presents a community service program aimed at improving the academic quality of private higher education institutions in Kediri Raya by developing both the soft and hard skills of faculty advisors involved in the PKM (Student Creativity Program). The program was implemented through a combination of lectures, hands-on practice, and focus group discussions (FGD) integrated within workshops, mentoring sessions, and simulated PKM activities. A total of 16 faculty members from private universities in the Kediri Raya region participated in the initiative. Data were collected using pre- and post-tests, structured questionnaires, and qualitative observations. Evaluation results revealed a 58.6% improvement in participants’ competencies, reflecting enhanced understanding of quality assurance and supervisory practices. Challenges included technical issues related to QA implementation and the need for ongoing follow-up. This study proposes a replicable model for faculty development and offers practical recommendations for extending similar initiatives to other institutions to foster sustainable improvements in higher education quality.

Abstract

Abstrak: Masalah utama yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya kesiapan sekolah berbasis pesantren dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan inklusi. Tujuan pengabdian adalah mendampingi sekolah dalam membangun sistem pendidikan yang inklusif, meliputi kurikulum, metode pengajaran, serta peningkatan soft skill dan hard skill guru. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, penyuluhan, workshop, dan praktikum, dengan partisipasi aktif dari 51 guru. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pengukuran peningkatan keterampilan komunikasi, kolaborasi, dan adaptasi kurikulum inklusi. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan soft skill sebesar 35% dalam aspek komunikasi dan kerjasama. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan hard skill sebesar 40%, terutama dalam pengajaran matematika, bahasa Indonesia, dan bahasa Inggris yang lebih inklusif. Program ini berhasil mendorong SMK Al Khozini menuju sekolah inklusi yang lebih adaptif dan siap menerima siswa dengan kebutuhan beragam.Abstract: The main issue was the lack of readiness of pesantren-based schools in implementing inclusive education. The goal was to assist the school in developing an inclusive education system, covering curriculum, teaching methods, and the enhancement of teachers' soft and hard skills. The methods used included socialization, counseling, workshops, and practicum, with active participation from 51 teachers. Evaluation was conducted by measuring improvements in communication, collaboration, and curriculum adaptation skills. The results showed a 35% increase in soft skills, particularly in communication and teamwork. Additionally, there was a 40% improvement in hard skills, especially in teaching mathematics, Indonesian, and English in a more inclusive manner. This program successfully advanced SMK Al Khozini towards becoming a more adaptive inclusive school, ready to accommodate students with diverse needs.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pendampingan ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan kurasi bacaan fiksi nonfiksi pada 77% guru bahasa Indonesia MGMP Kota Batu, sehingga buku bermutu dari SIBI, BUDI, dan platform lain belum dimanfaatkan optimal sebagai sumber belajar. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam mengkurasi bacaan berkualitas untuk jenjang SMP–SMA. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi sumber bacaan, Diskusi Kelompok Terpumpun, sesi berbagi praktik baik, serta workshop kurasi dengan peserta 60 guru. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi aktivitas, angket pretes postes, dan tugas praktik kurasi. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan kurasi sebesar 35%, dengan lebih dari 80% guru aktif dalam praktik dan mampu mengaitkan bacaan dengan capaian pembelajaran serta kebutuhan siswa. Selain itu, guru menghasilkan kurasi lebih sistematis dan relevan sehingga memperluas pemanfaatan bahan literasi di sekolah. Kegiatan ini berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas soft skill analisis literasi dan kesiapan guru menyediakan bacaan bermutu bagi siswa.Abstract: This community service program was initiated due to limited curation skills among 77% of Indonesian language teachers in the Batu City MGMP group, resulting in low utilization of high-quality fiction and nonfiction books available on SIBI, BUDI, and other platforms. The program aimed to enhance teachers’ understanding and skills in curating quality reading materials for secondary school students. The methods included source-literacy dissemination, Focus Group Discussions, best-practice sharing, and a curation workshop involving 60 teachers. Evaluation was carried out through classroom observation, pre- and post-tests, and practical curation assignments. The results show a 35% improvement in teachers’ curation competence, with more than 80% actively participating in discussions and demonstrating the ability to align curated texts with learning objectives and students’ characteristics. Teachers produced more systematic and relevant curation outputs, expanding the use of quality reading materials in schools. The program strengthened teachers’ literacy-analysis soft skills and improved their readiness to provide meaningful reading resources.
