Abstract

This study aims to examine the issue of fatherlessness in three selected cartoon series on YouTube, including the Upin and Ipin, Masha and The Bear and Pada Zaman Dahulu cartoon series to develop children's empathy and creativity. The study of fatherless cartoon series is important because the issue of fatherless in the last five years has surfaced because it is alleged that some Indonesian children have lost a father figure. So this research is important to provide an in-depth understanding of the fatherless issue. This research is included in descriptive qualitative research. The research data used is in the form of transcribed dialogues from the three cartoon series and interview dialogues. The data sources in this study are three fatherless cartoon series entitled Upin and Ipin, Masha and The Bear and Pada Zaman Dahulu, the storylines of the three fatherlees cartoon series, characterisation and high and low grade children. The data collection techniques used by researchers are listening techniques, note-taking techniques and interviews. Data analysis techniques used by researchers are observing three cartoon series on YouTube, interpreting, identifying, classifying, analysing and concluding. The results of this study show that there is creativity and empathy from the three fatherless-themed cartoon series. The main character is described as having social sensitivity, independence, and resilience in facing problems without the presence of a father figure. The three fatherless-themed cartoon series are able to form characters with high creativity and empathy, so as to inspire the audience to develop creativity and empathy in everyday life. This research can also be a foundation for further research on fatherlees-themed cartoons.

Abstract

This research focuses on the types of food metaphors that are closely related to the lives of the characters in the novel Aruna and her Tongue. Studies on the novel Aruna and her Tongue have never discussed food metaphors, so this research is important to provide readers with an understanding of examples of food metaphors in the novel Aruna and her Tongue. The research data used is in the form of narrative quotations contained in the novel. This research belongs to descriptive qualitative research. This research aims to describe the metaphorical language style of gastronomic studies contained in the novel Aruna and her Tongue. The data source in this research is dialog or narration of metaphorical language style contained in the novel. Data collection is done by reading the novel, marking technique, dialog or narration that is considered as metaphorical language style in the novel, recording technique, classifying and giving code to the data. The results of this study show that there is a metaphorical language style in the novel Aruna and Lidahnya by Lasmi Pamuntjak. The function of metaphorical language style in the novel is to describe and animate the atmosphere and characters in the story, and also provide an aesthetic touch that enriches the reader's experience with the use of beautiful comparisons and arouses the reader's imagination.

Abstract

Cinta dan penghambaan adalah dua hal yang berdampingan jika kita mengkaji dengan teliti dan menemukan unsur-unsur didalamnya. Tujuan utama dalam penelitian ini berkaitan dengan cinta dan penghambaan yang ada dalam puisi asmaraloka karya Usman Arrumy dengan menggunakan teori semiotika Riffaterre. Teori semiotika yang membahas empat unsur didalmnya membuat kajian dalam penelitian ini sangalah beragam jika dikaji dari banyak sisi. Konteks penghambaan dan cinta menjadi hal yang sangat relevan dengan kajian semiotika Riffaterre yang ada. Objek penelitian dalam buku asmaraloka juga menambahkan nuansa tersendiri, dimaan buku tersebut banyak terkandung puisi yang menggambarkan cinta yang ada dengan manusia dan ditambahkan unsur penghambaan kepada Tuhan tentnag sebuah cinta. Empat hal yang meliputi semiotika riffaterre terkait: Pembacaan heuristik dan hermenuetik, ketidaklangsungan ekspresi puisi yang disbabkan oleh penggantian arti, penyimpangan arti, dan penciptaan antri, matriks, model, dan varian, dan hubungan intertekstual membuat objek kajian ini menjadi sangat beragam untuk diteliti. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kajian kualitatif dengan mencari beberapa sumber yang ada dari peenlitian terdahulu tentang kajian yang sudah ada.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan penanaman karakter bersahabat pada anak usia dini melalui cerita menggunakan sastra suara difalitera pada anak usia 4-6 tahun di Bimbingan Belajar Griya Belajar Malang. Desain dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif lapangan dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Data yang diperoleh adalah hasil wawancara dengan tentor dan wali siswa serta hasil observasi secara langsung, dan dokumentasi pada buku laporan harian aktivitas anak di sekolah. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak usia 4-6 tahun yang melakukan bimbingan Calistung pada bimbingan belajar Griya Belajar Malang. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan cara reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan . Hasil dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskripsi proses pelaksanaan penanaman karakter bersahabat pada anak usia dini yaitu deskripsi pelaksanaan pembelajaran selama 90 menit yang dibagi dalam beberapa materi yaitu membaca, menulis, berhitung dan menyimak cerita menggunakan sastra suara difalitera. Kemudian terdapat faktor yang menjadi penghambat dan pendukung dalam pelaksaan tersebut yaitu dukungan orang tua, kemenarikan cerita, kondusivitas lingkungan belajar, dan kondisi fisik. berdasarkan penanaman karakter tersebut anak lebih percaya diri kemudian anak juga dapat berkomunikasi dengan baik dengan teman sebayanya maupun teman di lain kelasnya. Implementasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya kajian tentang efektifitas antara cerita berbasis audio dan audiovisual pada anak usia dini untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai kebaikan strategis untuk dikembangkan.

Abstract

Drama performances performed by students of class XI SMA have a lack of self-confidence, to overcome this the researcher applies the Lavonte method, namely vocal exercises, and expression therapy. This study aims to make students of class XI MIPA 1 SMAN 1 Kraksaan able to improve their competence in expressing the dialogue of the characters in drama performances using the Lavonte method. The sample of this study consisted of 32 students. Indonesian language subject, basic competence "Expressing Dialogue of Characters in Drama Performance", semester 2, 2019-2020 school year. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation notes and evaluation results from the beginning of the study until the second cycle. Observation notes are used to determine the increase in the competence of students in expressing the dialogues of the characters in drama performances, while the evaluation is carried out to measure the increase in student achievement. The results showed that the lavender method could be used to improve students' competence in expressing the dialogues of the characters in drama performances. The increase in student competence can be seen in the quality of the process shown by the seriousness, courage, and concentration of students in the learning process and practice to create a pleasant atmosphere. Students also do not feel bored because the activities in the lavender method vary. The assessment of the results of drama practice is seen in four aspects, namely intonation, pronunciation, appreciation, and expression. The highest score for each aspect is 4, while the total score for all aspects is 20. The process and product improvement can be seen based on the average score obtained in the second cycle compared to the average score obtained during the first cycle. The practice average score of students in the first cycle of 10.01. The average score of student practice at the end of the second cycle is 14.55. So, there was an increase in the average score of students by 4.54 or 45.35%. This increase in score indicates that the implementation of the actions in cycle I and cycle II can increase students' competence in expressing the dialogues of the characters in drama performances. AbstrakPementasan drama yang dilakukan oleh peserta didik kelas XI SMA memiliki kendala kekurangaan percaya diri, untuk menanggulanginya  peneliti menerapkan metode lavonte yakni latihan vokal dan terapi ekspresi. Penelitian ini bertujuan agar siswa kelas XI MIPA 1 SMAN 1 Kraksaan dapat meningkatkan kompetensi mengekspresikan dialog para tokoh dalam pementasan drama dengan metode lavonte. Sampel penelitian ini ber jumlah peserta didik 32 anak. Mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia, kompetensi dasar ”Mengekspresikan Dialog Para Tokoh dalam Pementasan Drama”, semester 2, tahun pelajaran 2019-2020.  Data yang dikumpulkan melalui angket, catatan observasi dan hasil evaluasi yang dilakukan sejak awal penelitian sampai siklus II. Catatan observasi dipergunakan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kompetensi peserta didik dalam mengekspresikan dialog para tokoh dalam pementasan drama, sedangkan evaluasi dilakukan untuk mengukur peningkatan prestasi belajar peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode lavonte dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam mengekspresikan dialog para tokoh dalam pementasan drama. Peningkatan kompetensi siswa tersebut tampak pada kualitas proses yang ditunjukkan oleh keseriusan, keberanian, dan konsentrasi siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan praktik sehingga dapat menciptakan suasana yang menyenangkan. Siswa juga tidak merasa bosan karena dalam kegiatan dalam metode lavonte bervariasi. Penilaian hasil praktik drama dilihat dalam empat aspek yaitu intonasi, pelafalan, penghayatan, dan ekspresi. Nilai tertinggi setiap aspek adalah 4, sedangkan nilai total semua aspek adalah 20. Peningkatan secara proses dan produk dapat dilihat berdasarkan skor rata-rata yang diperoleh pada siklus II dibandingkan dengan skor rata-rata yang diperoleh pada saat siklus I. Skor rata-rata praktik siswa pada siklus I sebesar 10,01. Skor rata-rata praktik siswa di akhir siklus II sebesar 14,55. Jadi, terjadi  peningkatan skor rata-rata  siswa sebesar 4,54 atau 45,35%. Peningkatan skor ini menunjukkan bahwa implementasi tindakan dalam siklus I dan siklus II mampu meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam mengekspresikan dialog para tokoh dalam pementasan drama.

Abstract

This study focuses on describing the image of Indonesian food in the collection of Poems on the Dining Table by Nova. In general, poetry only introduces how the author feels about what he feels about life, but through this gastrocritical research researchers want to show the distinctive form of poems with food themes and as a form of characteristics and culture from the area. Gastronomy has an important role to play in conveying the history of food it originated and became more than just food. The methods used in this study are qualitative methods and careful reading methods to describe the concept of gastrocriticism in culinary and art. The procedures in data collection used to collect data are the stage of determining the source of the data, the stage of reading the whole, the stage of categorizing the concept of gastrocriticism, and the stage of describing the results of gastrocriticism. The discovery of culinary and artistic concepts in poetry on the dinner table includes, 1) the image of taste, 2) the way of presentation, and 3) the way the food is consumed. Of the three culinary and artistic concepts, the most dominant result obtained in poetry research on the dinner table is the way of presentation. AbstrakPenelitian ini berfokus untuk mendeskripsikan citra makanan Indonesia dalam kumpulan Puisi di Atas Meja Makan karya Nova. Pada umumnya puisi hanya mengenalkan bagaimana perasaan penulis terkait apa yang dirasakan tentang kehidupan, tetapi melalui penelitian gastrokritik ini peneliti ingin menunjukan bentuk khas dari puisi-puisi yang bertema makanan dan sebagai bentuk ciri khas dan budaya dari daerah tersebut. Gastronomi memiliki peran penting dalam menyampaiakan sebuah sejarah makanan itu berasal dan menjadi lebih dari sekedar makanan. Metode  yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa metode kualitatif dan metode membaca cermat untuk mendeskripsikan konsep gastrokritik pada kuliner dan seni. Prosedur dalam pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data yaitu tahap menentukan sumber data, tahap membaca keseluruhan, tahap mengkategorikan konsep gastrokritik, dan  tahap menjabarkan hasil dari gastrokritik. Penemuan konsep kuliner dan seni dalam puisi di atas meja makan diantaranya, 1) citra rasa, 2) cara penyajian, dan 3) cara makanan tersebut dikonsumsi. Dari ketiga konsep kuliner dan seni, hasil yang diperoleh dalam penelitian puisi di atas meja makan yang paling dominan adalah Citra rasa.

Abstract

YouTube plays a crucial role in early childhood language acquisition by offering interactive and engaging educational content, allowing children to learn language through songs, stories, and supportive visuals. Regular exposure to foreign languages through YouTube videos accelerates their understanding and natural use of the language in everyday contexts. This study aims to provide a detailed and comprehensive explanation of the process and outcomes of second language acquisition in toddlers whose first language is Indonesian, and who are exposed to English-language songs from YouTube channels. The method used in this study is Narrative Inquiry, which aims to provide a depiction of lived experiences, capturing the complexity and situational context from the internal perspective of the research subjects. The findings indicate that exposure to educational content does not entirely have detrimental effects. In the context of this research, the subject successfully acquired a second language through YouTube videos introduced at the age of 13 months. By the time the subject reached 27 months, observations showed that the subject had successfully acquired more than 17 vocabulary words that could be used appropriately in context. This study highlights that toddlers exposed to YouTube content can experience positive effects in second language acquisition, with various vocabulary words absorbed during the critical period of language learning. Therefore, content focused on educational material, such as Toddler Learning Videos and songs for children, is recommended as a method of language acquisition therapy for children. Educational works by Rachel and Aron, notably on the Ms. Rachel channel, or productions from the Blippi YouTube channel developed by Stevin W. John, have been proven to have a significant positive impact.

Abstract

Swearing is used in every human language activity. Swearing can be found in films as a form of literary work that provides entertainment and describes the phenomenon of social reality. The Yowis Ben 2 film is a youth comedy genre film that contains swear words using local languages, Javanese and Sundanese. This research focuses on a sociopragmatic study of Javanese and Sundanese swearing in the film Yowis Ben 2 to look at the references, functions, and implicatures of swearing speech acts in both languages. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The primary data is in the form of swearing in Javanese and Sundanese in the form of words, phrases, sentences, and scenes for each character in the film, and the secondary data is in the form of previous studies related to swearing in Javanese and Sundanese. Data collection techniques are carried out by documenting, listening, recording, and analyzing content. Data analysis techniques are carried out by reducing, presenting, and drawing conclusions and by using pragmatic equivalent studies in order to reveal swearing implicatures in two languages. The results of the research show that not all swearing in Javanese and Sundanese languages found in the film "Yowis Ben 2" encompasses the entire classification of swearing. The Sundanese language presents a more diverse variety of profanity vocabulary compared to Javanese. Implicatures from the use of profanity in both languages include expressions of feelings such as annoyance, anger, disappointment, surprise, admiration, and familiarity. This research has significant implications for understanding how profanity is used within specific cultural and social contexts, such as in teen comedy films. Furthermore, further research can explore how film translators work to translate profanity vocabulary from regional languages into Indonesian or foreign languages, providing further insights into the cultural adaptation process in the film industry.

Abstract

In the current modern era, the pace of development of the literary world becomes more varied, innovative, and creative in literature, one of which is through film media. The novel adaptation is in great demand by the millennial generation today, especially if the film is played by actors who are on the rise. It is undeniable that the selection of actors also affects the outcome of the film is adapted. Research that carried literary adaptation and the perception of readers of the Bumi Manusia novel. This research was descriptive qualitative research that explained the description of the audience's perception of the Bumi Manusia film. The purpose of the researcher using this qualitative approach was to facilitate the research carried out because the data obtained were in the form of writing. The results showed: (1) the perception of the readers of the Bumi Manusia novel and the audience of the Bumi Manusia film said that the cast of Minke, Annelies, and Nyai Ontosoroh in the Bumi Manusia film managed to play their roles well. The role of women was shown to be quite diverse, the representation of independent, intelligent, firm women was shown by Nyai Ontosoroh, (2) the audience's perception of Bumi Manusia film said that the setting of time, place, and atmosphere in the film was quite in accordance with the novel, there were also variations and additions to several scenes in the film., (3) the audience's perception of Bumi Manusia film said that Hanung Bramantyo as the director has succeeded in adapting the Bumi Manusia novel, with the limitations and advantages of a film, Hanung managed to package 19th century-era novels into films that are popular and easy to understand by today's millennials.

Abstract

Lagu permaianan anak merupakan media yang efektif dalam mendidik karakter anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai regilius dan kekerabatan yang terkandung dalam lagu permaianan anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan interpretasi makna. Data primer adalah lagu permainan anak pak opak ileng, jin anjin, dhung-endhung, ker-tanokor, dan Dhi'-dindhi' but'theng, yang mengandung moralitas. Data skunder berupa kajian pustaka yang relevan seperti jurnal, buku, maupun website. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dalam teks, dengan tahapan: Mencari, Mencermati, Mencatat. Analisis data terdapat empat tahapan: menentukan, mengelompokan, menganalisis, dan menyimpulkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lagu permainan anak Madura mengandung nilai religiusitas seperti bertaqwa dan berikan kepada Tuhan YME. Terdapat pada lagu Pa’ kopa’ eling, serta kekerabatan seperti gotong-royong ditemukan dalam lagu ker tanokor, jin anjin, dung endhung, dan Dhi'-dindhi' but'theng. Relevansi dari perspektif pelajar Pancasila menunjukkan bahwa lagu-lagu ini memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pembentukan karakter anak.Â
