Abstract

Climate change is a global challenge that requires rapid and adaptive responses from various levels of government, including local governments. In Indonesia, the role of local governments in building climate resilience is increasingly crucial as the impacts of climate change are felt in various regions. However, bureaucratic barriers, resource constraints, and socio-economic dynamics often hinder the effectiveness of climate resilience strategies at the local level. This study aims to explore the role of local governments in building climate resilience through local policies, technological innovation, and community participation. This study was conducted using a qualitative approach, where data was collected from various sources such as research results and relevant previous studies. The collected data were then processed systematically to find findings that support the development of climate resilience strategies. The results of the study show that local governments have an important role in developing policies that are appropriate to local conditions to deal with climate change. Technological innovation and the development of disaster-resistant infrastructure are key to increasing climate resilience at the local level. Active community participation and community empowerment have also proven to be important factors in implementing effective climate resilience strategies. Bureaucratic barriers and resource constraints can be overcome through cross-regional collaboration that allows for the sharing of knowledge and best practices. Thus, climate resilience strategies at the local level must be based on synergy between government, communities, and the private sector to achieve sustainable and effective results.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilakukan secara rutin dalam rangka mewujudkan nila-nilai tri dharma Perguruan Tinggi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan pada pemuda lingkungan Benggala yang berlokasi di kota Serang. Yayasan ini menghimpun warga yang kurang mampu untuk memberikan keterampilan supaya berguna dikemudian hari. Tujuan diadakannya pengabdian ini adalah untuk membantu meringankan beban kehidupan bermasyarakat, yakni seperti memberikan penyuluhan pentingnya peran ibu dalam pendidikan anak di rumah, pencegahan stunting sejak dalam kandungan, pembagian sembako dan juga pemberian pelatihan dasar mewarnai pada anak sekolah dasar dan pentingnya menjaga sanitasi lingkungan untuk kesehatan bersama. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan metode studi kasus kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data yakni observasi dan wawancara. Hasil observasi dan wawancara dengan mitra, tim memperoleh hasil dengan tujuan agar terlaksananya pengabdian masyarakat ini dengan lancar dan bermanfaat untuk masyarakat setempat. Pengabdian ini di dukung oleh tiga orang mahasiswa dari program studi teknik industri dengan mengkonversi kegiatan ke mata kuliah KKM. Pengabdian ini jug didukung oleh hibah Kementrian Riset dan Teknologi, Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Dengan harapan pengabdian kepada masyarakat terus berlanjut dan peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia meningkat.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the quality control of wood pallet products at PT. Azdhi Kayu Kreasi by using the Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) approaches. The problem faced by the company is the high level of product defects that can reduce customer satisfaction and increase production costs. The RCA method is used to identify the root cause of product defects, while SPC is used to monitor and control the production process. Data were collected through field observations, interviews, questionnaires, and internal company documentation. The data were analyzed using P charts, Pareto diagrams, and fishbone diagrams. The results showed that the main cause of product defects was wood cracking, which was caused by factors such as poor raw material quality, production process errors, and unsuitable environmental conditions. The implementation of RCA and SPC proved effective in identifying and reducing the causes of product defects. By making improvements to the production process and selecting better raw materials, the product defect rate can be significantly reduced. This research makes a practical contribution to the company in improving product quality and production process efficiency.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that provides hot metal transportation handling services and supports Blast Furnace (BF) operations at the Krakatau Posco Plant using heavy equipment, namely Multi Mover M600U. To ensure smooth production processes, effective and efficient maintenance management of the heavy equipment are essential to enhance reliability. This study evaluates potential failure modes, their impacts and appropriate handling measures for the Multi Mover M600U using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method. The result of the study shows the highest Risk Priority Number (RPN) value of 350 in the Electrical PLC component, with a total RPN of 777 for the Electrical and Brake systems. These findings indicate that the Electrical and Brake systems have the highest failure rates due to downtime compared to other systems. Through the Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) approach, this study proposes a maintenance scheduling plan to minimize the risk of sudden downtimes, and their impacts on time and maintenance costs.Keywords - Downtime, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Heavy Equipment Maintenance, Reliability Centred Maintenance, Risk Priority Number.

Abstract

In an era where digital transformation is increasingly imperative, many industries struggle to navigate the complexities of technological adoption and operational efficiency. Lean principles, which emphasize waste reduction and process optimization, provide a robust foundation for digital transformation, particularly in the chemical industry, where unique operational challenges exist. This research aims to develop an integrated Lean 4.0 readiness assessment tool to bridge the gap between leanness and Industry 4.0 readiness. The study begins with a literature review on existing lean and Industry 4.0 readiness measurement tools and integrates them to create a new framework, using the Indonesia Industry 4.0 Readiness Index (INDI 4.0) as a reference, tailored specifically to the chemical industry. Expert interviews are conducted to refine the assessment tool, ensuring alignment with real-world industry conditions and practical insights. A Delphi-based expert consensus method combined with a fuzzy approach for handling imprecision in indicator ratings is employed to validate the framework, resulting in five key dimensions and 86 indicators. By gathering expert input, the tool addresses the chemical industry’s specific challenges and simplifies readiness evaluation, helping companies assess their preparedness for digital transformation and identify areas for improvement. The resulting framework enables chemical companies to bridge readiness gaps and prioritize targeted enhancements. Furthermore, this tool has the potential to serve as a scalable model for other industries, fostering more efficient and strategic digital transformation aligned with Industry 4.0 objectives globally.

Abstract

AbstractPT Teknik Manunggal Perkasa is a company operating in the fields of general contractor and supplier (welding equipment, safety equipment, pipe fitting, and flange). The company need sustainable or permanent suppliers to guarantee availability of goods, on-time delivery, appropriate quality, and price certainty. Recently, the company does not have a permanent supplier for spare parts of 100-flap disc grinding wheel. The aim of this research is determining order of factors to consider supplier selection and choose the best supplier for the grinding wheel. This research uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The data collection technique is using questionnaire about criteria, sub-criteria, and alternative suppliers from various divisions that are directly related to purchasing process. The results of research shows that the most influential criteria in selecting a grinding wheel supplier are quality criteria with weighting 0,376; followed by the price criterion with weighting 0,355; quantity accuracy with weighting 0,113; delivery with a weighting 0,097; and finally service criteria with weighting of 0,059. Meanwhile, the best supplier is PT ST, shows highest weighting 0,419; following by PT JM with weighting 0,215; PT SM with weighting 0,202; and the last rank is PT CJ with weighting 0,164.AbstrakPT Teknik Manunggal Perkasa adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang general contractor dan supplier (welding equipment, safety equipment, pipe fitting and flange). Perusahaan sangat memerlukan pemasok barang yang continue atau tetap untuk menjamin ketersediaan barang, ketepatan waktu pengiriman, kualitas yang sesuai dan kepastian harga. Saat ini perusahaan belum memiliki pemasok tetap untuk spare part mata gerinda flap disk 100. Penelitian ini bertujuanh untuk menentukan urutan faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan pemasok dan memilih pemasok terbaik untuk mata gerinda tersebut dengan menggunakan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner mengenai kriteria, sub kriteria dan alternatif pemasok dari berbagai divisi yang berhubungan langsung pada proses pembelian. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kriteria yang paling berpengaruh dalam pemilihan pemasok mata gerinda adalah kriteria kualitas dengan bobot 0,376; kemudian diikuti oleh kriteria harga dengan bobot 0,355; ketepatan jumlah dengan bobot 0,113; pengiriman dengan bobot 0,097 dan terakhir adalah kriteria pelayanan dengan bobot 0,059. Sedangkan pemasok terbaik adalah PT ST dengan bobot paling tinggi yaitu 0,419; selanjutnya. PT JM dengan bobot 0,215; PT SM dengan bobot 0,202 dan peringkat terakhir adalah PT CJ dengan bobot 0,164.
