Abstract

The Islamic Entrepreneurship Boarding School Purwakarta Global Cahaya Nubuwah Insani (GCNI) integrates religious and entrepreneurship education to develop young santripreneurs. GCNI operates edu-tourism units, including accommodation and a coffee shop, managed by teachers and students. However, observations indicated that students’ service quality remained low due to limited understanding of service marketing and service characteristics. This community service program aims to enhance students’, teachers’, and administrators’ knowledge and skills regarding service concepts, service characteristics, and excellent service practices through training, discussions, and role-playing. The methods consisted of pre-tests, service marketing training, group discussions, and service encounter simulations. The activity results indicated that participants' understanding improved, with 80% demonstrating enhanced service skills, as observed in role, such as friendlier communication, quicker responses, and more accurate information delivery. The program also helped administrators develop more effective marketing strategies for GCNI’s education tourism units. This activity contributes to improving service quality, preparing students to become entrepreneurs, and strengthening the institution’s capacity to manage service-based businesses.

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education has created new opportunities to enhance inclusive learning across diverse educational contexts. In Islamic educational institutions, the adoption of AI presents a dual responsibility to embrace technological innovation while ensuring alignment with Sharia based ethical principles that emphasize justice, accountability, and respect for human dignity. This study investigates how AI is utilized to support inclusive learning within Islamic education settings in Southeast Asia using a qualitative descriptive approach with a multi-site case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers, school leaders, and IT developers from selected Islamic educational institutions and analyzed using thematic coding techniques. The findings reveal that AI contributes positively to inclusive learning by enabling adaptive instruction, personalizing learning content, facilitating early identification of learning barriers, and supporting data-driven decision-making. When implemented within Sharia-compliant ethical frameworks, AI enhances fairness, balanced participation, and student engagement. However, the study also identifies several challenges, including limited content filtering mechanisms, insufficient data privacy governance, and the risk of algorithmic bias that may unintentionally marginalize certain student groups. This research highlights the importance of ethical governance and value-based AI design to ensure that AI adoption in Islamic education remains equitable, inclusive, and contextually appropriate. The findings provide strategic implications for institutional policy development, curriculum planning, and the long-term governance of AI-driven educational systems within Islamic educational environments.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Sharia compliance implementation on the blessings of human resources, the influence of Sharia compliance implementation on religiosity, and the influence of religiosity on the blessings of human resources in Sharia Banking. The method used was a quantitative descriptive approach involving three variables and 90 indicators (reduced to 74 after validity testing), based on the Tawhidi String Relation (TSR) perspective. Data analysis was conducted using Factor Analysis to reduce the indicators and Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine causal relationships among the variables. The study involved 385 respondents consisting of employees, staff, and executives in Sharia Banking. The results show that Sharia compliance implementation has a positive influence on both the blessings of human resources and religiosity. Religiosity also has a positive influence on the blessings of human resources. In addition, Sharia compliance indirectly enhances the blessings of human resources through religiosity. This study highlights the importance of strengthening Sharia values implementation in banking products, transactions, and operations. Leaders are expected to serve as role models in applying an Islamic work culture in accordance with DSN-MUI fatwas and maqashid sharia. Support from shareholders and strengthening the role of the Sharia Supervisory Board are essential to ensure the consistent implementation of Sharia principles, thereby enhancing both spiritual and material blessings for human resources.

Abstract

Background: Islamic banking in Indonesia has grown for over two decades; however, its market share remains below 8%, and the spin-off scheme of Islamic Business Units has demonstrated limited effectiveness. Converting Regional Development Banks (BPD) into Islamic Commercial Banks offers a strategic alternative, yet an integrated conversion model combining technical, organizational, and sharia dimensions is still lacking, using Regional Development Banks (BPD) in Indonesia as the research object. Objective: This study formulates a holistic conversion model by identifying priority problems, solutions, and strategies for converting BPD into Islamic Commercial Banks. Methods: This study employed the Analytic Network Process (ANP) combined with the Tawhidy String Relation (TSR)framework. Internal factors were mapped using the McKinsey 7S framework, while external factors covered legality, regulation, and customer aspects. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and pairwise-comparison questionnaires distributed to seven purposively selected experts, comprising regulators, sharia banking practitioners, and academics with direct conversion experience. ANP analysis was performed using SuperDecisions v.3.2 software, with a consistency ratio (CR) ≤ 0.10. Results: Strategy emerged as the most dominant internal problem (geomean = 0.40), driven by the absence of an integrated sharia transformation strategy. The priority solution is strengthening strategy through business and market-potential studies. The top recommended strategy is forming a dedicated sharia licensing team, supported by legal consultants and benchmarking with previously converted banks. Conclusion:Successful conversion of BPD into Islamic Commercial Banks is largely determined by strategic readiness as the foundation for sustainable, sharia-aligned transformation, supported by a roadmap integrating maqashid sharia into corporate governance.
