Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Intrinsic Motivation and Transformational Leadership on Employee Performance at the Lake Toba Authority Executive Agency (BPODT). As an authority managing a Super Priority Tourism Destination, BPODT demands high professionalism and synergy in executing its coordinative and authoritative functions. The research methodology employed is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 86 BPODT employees. Instrument testing was conducted through validity and reliability tests, while hypothesis testing utilized t-test (partial), F-test (simultaneous), and coefficient of determination tests.Research findings indicate that partially, Intrinsic Motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with 27.05 and significance 0.000. Conversely, Transformational Leadership partially does not significantly influence employee performance with a significance value of 0.243. However, simultaneously, both variables significantly influence employee performance with a significance value of 0.000. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.981 demonstrates that Intrinsic Motivation and Transformational Leadership contribute 98.1% to the employee performance variable, while the remaining 1.9% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. In conclusion, although leadership does not independently drive performance, the synergy between employees' internal motivation and strategic leadership direction serves as the primary key to organizational success in achieving Lake Toba tourism development targets.

Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial factor in supporting the effectiveness of public service delivery, particularly in government institutions. Optimal performance cannot be separated from adequate work facilities and high work motivation. This study aims to analyze the effect of work facilities and work motivation on employee performance at the Medan Selayang District Office, Medan City. This research employed a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population consisted of all employees at the Medan Selayang District Office totaling 50 people, and a census technique was used as the sampling method. Data were collected through questionnaires that had been tested for validity and reliability, and then analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 27. The results showed that work facilities and work motivation partially had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, work facilities and work motivation also had a significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.752 indicates that 75.2% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by work facilities and work motivation, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that improving work facilities and enhancing work motivation are essential in increasing employee performance. The implications of this study are expected to serve as a reference for government institutions in formulating policies to improve employee performance and public service quality

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership, motivation, and work environment on employee performance at PT. Zahara Jaya Mulia. The research employed a quantitative approach with a total sample of 40 employees. Data were collected using a questionnaire, and the analysis was carried out through multiple linear regression, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The results indicate that: (1) leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance; (2) motivation has a positive and significant effect; (3) the work environment also has a positive and significant effect; and (4) simultaneously, the three independent variables contribute significantly to employee performance. The contribution of the independent variables to the dependent variable is relatively strong, as reflected in the R² value of 0.388. The practical implication of this study is that the company needs to enhance leadership quality, improve work motivation through an effective reward system, and create a more conducive work environment in order to improve employee performance.

Abstract

PT. Ukindo Blankahan Mill, a company engaged in the palm oil industry and plantations, has faced a significant decline in performance and productivity, with production achievements falling short of company targets from 2021 to 2023. This decline in performance is influenced by various factors, including leadership style and employee compensation. This study aims to analyze the impact of leadership style and compensation on employee performance at PT. Ukindo Blankahan Mill. The research seeks to understand the extent to which these two factors contribute to improving employee performance and productivity. This study employs a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. Data were collected through surveys, observations, and documentation from 119 employees of PT. Ukindo Blankahan Mill, with a sample of 54 employees selected using stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire measuring leadership style, compensation, and employee performance. Data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, as well as classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity) and multiple linear regression analysis. The study found that the leadership style variable was mostly valid with three significant indicators. However, the compensation variable did not show adequate validity for all tested items. Reliability tests indicated that the leadership style variable had acceptable internal consistency, while the compensation and employee performance variables showed low reliability. These findings underscore the importance of effective leadership style and compensation in enhancing employee performance, and highlight the need for improvements in the company’s compensation system.
