Abstract

An integrated agriculture-based agrotourism model needs to be implemented in the Carik Injeman area of Cibodas village. To date, Carik Land, with an area of 30 hectares to date, has not been optimally used. Cibodas villagers mostly work as farmers and ranchers. More than 50% of the workforce does not have permanent employment. Some previous researchers have said that with integrated agriculture, independent communities could increase their land resources and farmers would prosper in a sustainable manner. The aim of this study was (1) to identify the factors that determine agrotourism planning in Carik land, (2) study integrated farming systems as support for agrotourism, (3) inventory the various opinions of village groups and community leaders related to agrotourism development (4) formulate an agrotourism model in integrated agriculture. This research uses descriptive, qualitative, observational, and quantitative methods, in particular Likert scales. Data collection uses questionnaires through purposive sampling. The results show that the community response supported by the FGD results on agrotourism planning was very good. SWOT analysis was made to study the agrotourism planning factor. The sustainable agrotourism plan to be located on Carik Injeman’s land must have four zones, namely an: 1) integrated farming system area, 2) integrated waste disposal area, 3) environmental area, 4) and recreation and sports area. The study results can be used as a recommendation for agrotourism planning in Carik Injeman land, Cibodas village, Bandung.

Abstract

Cibodas Village, Pasir Jambu District, Bandung Regency is an Eco-village that has been fostered through the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education's Grant program. The sustainability of an Eco-village requires the involvement of a healthy local community. One of the efforts implemented through this PkM program is the utilization of Posyandu house yards through planting family medicinal plants (TOGA). The PkM activity aims to provide an example of a TOGA garden design that is beneficial for the local community to be an example in arranging TOGA in their yards. The PkM implementation method begins with a location survey and discussions with representatives of the RW/RT and PKK administrators to obtain an optimal TOGA garden design in the Posyandu RW 04 yard. The implementation was carried out with counseling regarding the design of the TOGA park and the technical construction of it. In addition, to find out the benefits felt from this PkM activity, participants consisting of representatives of RW/RT administrators and PKK administrators were given a pretest and posttest. The pretest results showed that basically the participants already knew TOGA, but did not understand the TOGA arrangement and then the posttest results showed that there was an increase in the participants' understanding of the TOGA garden (100%). However, participants hope to receive assistance in applying garden designs in their yards. Therefore, it is necessary to extend the collaboration between the Faculty of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Technology, Universitas Trisakti and the Head of Cibodas Village, which has expired.

Abstract

Tangerang City is one of the cities in Banten Province. The dense population causes an increase in the volume of waste, so an adequate Solid Waste Facility (SWF) is needed. Solid Waste Facility is the place to process and return the waste to the environment. Rawa Kucing SWF is one that serves Tangerang City with an area of 37.7 hectares, divided into four landfill zones and landfill support facilities. With the remaining land that can be used to build a new landfill, it is necessary to conduct a study on the feasibility of Rawa Kucing SWF if it is still feasible as seen by the environmental conditions or not. In the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works Number 3 of 2013, there is a land suitability assessment for taking decision of SWF whether it is to be rehabilitated or should be closed known as the Integrated Risk Based Approach (IRBA). The result of the environmental risk index assessment based on IRBA is 599.03, which means that mean Rawa Kucing SWF is included in moderate hazard category. The recommended action in this category is that the TPA is continued and rehabilitated into gradually controlled landfill. Currently, the Rawa Kucing SWF has applied controlled landfill method, so the effort to develop the landfill method into sanitary landfill method can be done gradually to reduce adverse impact to the environment. Technology such as Waste-to-Energy (WtE) Plants can also be considered to reduce the waste load entering the landfill.
