Abstract

Food security behavior is essential to be developed through continuous development of knowledge, awareness, attitudes, values, skills, and responsibility. Utilization of system dynamics methodology in educational research in the field of food security is still limited. Thus, this research aimed to develop a model of food security behavior through environmental-based learning by utilizing a system dynamics methodology. This approach starts with defining problems dynamically, developing concepts in circular causality, identifying stocks, flows, simulating, and validating the model. Through quantification of variables involved in the development of food security behavior model, the results showed that during 6 years of simulation, environmental-based learning could improve food security behavior sustainably (from 10.60 at the beginning to 74.19 at the end of simulation year) having the growth forming an exponential curve. The increase of food security behavior occurred gradually through increasing food security attitudes (from 2.09 to 7.45), food security awareness (from 0.55 to 2.34), food security values (from 0.23 to 0.85), food security knowledge (from 1.53 to 6.17), food security skills (from 0.61 to 1.83), and food security responsibility (from 0.88 to 1.67).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the achievement and improvement of the abilities gained by students with project-based learning models (PjBL). The method used in this study is a pre-experimental method with research design one group pretest-posttest. This study uses one class. The population of this study was all students of class VII A with a total of 36 students. The study instrument used was a test of creative thinking skills and non-test abilities consisting of creativity, presentation and percentage, and the implementation of the learning model. The result of this study obtained by paired t-test showed that there is a possibility of using the PjBL model to the creative thinking skills with a significance value of 0.000. These results indicate that PjBL affects creative thinking skills. In addition, the improvement of creativity based on the test of creative thinking skills has a value of 0.56 (56%) with medium category, the average value of innovative products is 85.71% with outstanding classes, and the performance & percentage are 73 with good classes.Keywords: creative thinking skills, project-based learning (PjBL), solar system materialsDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpf.v9.n2.202110

Abstract

Kurangnya pemahaman materi pembelajaran dapat menyebabkan rendahnya nilai hasil belajar. dipilihnya model pembelajaran yang sesuai adalah komponen pendukung dalam tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran yang mampu mendukung peserta didik untuk paham atas materi pembelajaran. Diantaranya yaitu memakai model yang tepat dan inovatif, seperti digunakannya model Pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII pada tema tercemarnya lingkunganku. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan menggunakan metode yaitu Quasi Experiment atau eksperimen semu dengan memakai dua kelas yaitu satu kelas eksperimen dan satu kelas kontrol, dengan desain pre-test post-test control design. Melalui tes soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 25 butir soal Hasil belajar dapat diukur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji hipotesis dengan memakai program SPSS versi 25 diperoleh nilai sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,004 < 0,05, dengan berlandas pada kriteria H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima, oleh karena itu, dapat ditarik kesimpulan yaitu model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII pada tema tercemarnya lingkunganku dengan dibuktikan dari perolehan nilai hasil belajar peserta didik yang diterapkan dengam model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E  meningkat secara signifikan.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the increase students' communication skills using bilingual preview review with setting jigsaw learning in the class VII SMPN 1 Tangerang on the concept of environmental management. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental research with one group pretest posttestdesign. In this research, the sample was class VII I, there are 30 student participant by purposive sampling. The instruments used the observation paper and written communication ability test. The result of the research is t-test result get tcount= 11.41 and ttable at α = 0.05 is 1,69. tcount= 11,41 > ttable=1.69 which indicates that there is an increase students' communication skills using bilingual preview review with setting jigsaw learning in the class VII SMPN 1 Tangerang on the concept of environmental management. Keywords: Bilingual Preview Review Learning, Setting Jigsaw, Students’ Communication Ability Abstrak  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kecakapan komunikasi siswa menggunakan pembelajaran bilingual preview review dengan setting jigsawkelas VII SMPN 1 Tangerangpada konsep pengelolaan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest posttest. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII I berjumlah 30 siswa yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi dan soal kecakapan komunikasi tulisan. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa hasil uji-t didapat thitung = 11,41 dan ttabel pada α = 0,05 adalah 1,69. thitung = 11,41 > ttabel = 1,69 yang menunjukan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kecakapan komunikasi siswa menggunakan pembelajaran bilingual preview review dengan setting jigsaw berpengaruh pada konsep pengelolaan lingkungan di SMPN 1 Tangerang. Kata kunci :  Pembelajaran Bilingual Preview Review, Setting Jigsaw, Kecakapan Komunikasi Siswa

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the level of validity of 3D teaching aids with solar system material, and to analyze students' responses to 3D teaching aids using solar system material to train concept understanding.  The research carried out is a type of research and development using a 4D model. In this research, instruments were used in the form of interview instruments, validation questionnaire instruments and student response questionnaires. The research subjects consisted of three media experts, three material experts, and three practitioner experts (science teachers) as well as 30 class VII middle school students. The results of the validation of 3D teaching aids on the solar system material as a whole obtained a validity percentage from the three experts (media experts, material experts and practitioner experts/science teachers), namely 91.25% in the "Very Good" category and the results of student responses obtained a percentage value of 90. 05 in the "Very Good" category, so that this 3D teaching aid on the solar system material can be a medium in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of AI-assisted tools on paragraph writing for foreign students learning English and Indonesian. Writing proficiency is a critical component of language acquisition, and AI offers innovative solutions to enhance this process. This research has demonstrated the significant positive impact of AI-assisted tools on enhancing paragraph writing skills for foreign students learning English and Indonesian. Using a mixed-methods approach with combain boyh quantitative and qualitative research methods, the study provided both quantitative and qualitative evidence supporting the effectiveness of these tools. The instrument used was a standardized writing test designed to evaluate grammatical accuracy, syntactical complexity, and vocabulary range. For English Language Learners (ELL), there was a notable improvement in writing skills, with average test scores increasing from 65 to 80. Additionally, there was a 40% reduction in grammatical and syntactical errors and a 30% enhancement in vocabulary usage. Similarly, Indonesian Language Learners (ILL) experienced a rise in test scores from 60 to 75, a 35% reduction in errors, and a 25% improvement in vocabulary usage.These results underscore the benefits of AI tools in language education. In conclusion, AI-assisted tools have proven to be highly effective in improving paragraph writing skills for foreign students learning English and Indonesian. The combination of quantitative improvements in writing proficiency and positive qualitative feedback from students highlights the transformative potential of AI in language education. By providing personalized, real-time, and contextually appropriate feedback, AI tools can significantly enhance the learning experience and outcomes for foreign students.

Abstract

Fruit plants are commodities that can improve people's lives in the long term. One of the problemsin the cultivation of fruit trees is the provision of quality seedlings. Based on these considerations,community service has been carried out under the title "Empowerment of the Cikuya villagecommunity, Serang Regency, through improving the quality of fruit plant seedlings with the Minigrafting method". The Seedlings quality can be obtained through grafting techniques, but theobstacle is the length of time to get the rootstock ready for grafting. The alternative is a minigrafting. Mini grafting technique that is trained for participants is one of the reproductivetechnologies to produce quality seedlings through early grafting techniques. This communityservice program has been running successfully and has contributed 1) giving new insights to theCikuya village farmers group 2) giving participants insights on the basic theory of mini grafting 3)participants can independently supply fruit plant seedlings 4). Abstract

This study aimed to determine the extent of research using TPACK on Mathematics Learning. This Systematic Review  used the PRISMA method and, with the help of the Publish or Perish and VOS Viewer software applications, obtained 142 articles from journals sourced from Scopus. The article journal is related to using the TPACK method in mathematics learning. It was found from the results of the literature review that the study of TPACK keywords could be categorized into (1) TPACK on the use of teaching/learning devices/tools and the development of learning innovations; (2) TPACK in learning planning; and (3) TPACK in evaluating teacher competency. The author believes that applying TPACK in mathematics learning requires careful planning and clear output/outcomes, so using tools can also provide optimal benefits. However, it must still be coupled with qualified teaching teachers' competence.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan yang ditemui dalam dunia pendidikan selama proses pembelajaran adalah miskonsepsi. Miskonsepsi sangat mungkin terjadi di berbagai bidang dan mata pelajaran, tidak menutup kemungkinan pula dalam mata pelajaran IPA. Pembelajaran IPA mengandung banyak konsep dan hingga saat ini masih banyak siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi maka dari itu siswa harus memiliki pemahaman konsep yang baik untuk menghindari miskonsepsi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis seberapa besar miskonsepsi siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA SMP di Kota Tangerang pada tema pemanasan global. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian campuran (mix method) dengan instrumen penelitian lembar soal pilihan ganda yang dilengkapi dengan skala CRI (Certainty of Response Index) dan wawancara. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 29 siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 18 Kota Tangerang, 30 siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 24 Kota Tangerang, dan 29 siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 32 Kota Tangerang. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa presentase pemahaman konsep siswa pada tiap butir soal dengan kategori paham konsep sebesar 42.27%, kategori tidak paham konsep sebesar 26.70% dan kategori miskonsepsi sebesar 31.02%. Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa secara keseluruhan miskonsepsi yang terjadi pada siswa kelas VII SMP di Kota Tangerang pada tema pemanasan global termasuk ke dalam kategori miskonsepsi sedang dengan presentase miskonsepsi ≥31% yaitu sebesar 31.02%. Miskonsepsi yang terjadi disebabkan oleh dua faktor yaitu faktor internal yang berasal dari dalam diri siswa tentang pemahaman konsep awal pada tema pemanasan global yang mereka miliki dan faktor eksternal yaitu kejelasan buku teks hingga konteks lain seperti pengaruh teman.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh instrumen soal evaluasi pembelajaran daring yang kurang menarik dan belum berbasis HOTS. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini yaitu mengembangan dan menganalisis tingkat kelayakan instrumen soal HOTS (Higher Order Thinking Skill) berbasis Quizziz pada Pembelajaran IPA Daring Tema Hipertensi untuk SMP Kelas VIII yang telah dikembangkan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) yang mengacu pada model prosedural 3-D dikemukan oleh Thiagarajan (1974) yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), tahap perancangan (design), dan tahap pengembangan (develop). Penelitian ini menghasilkan produk berupa 20 butir soal pilihan ganda bertipe HOTS yang dikembangkan berbasis Quizizz dengan tema hipertensi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa prototype memiliki tingkat kevalidan sebesar 85%  (sangat valid) pada aspek materi, 84% (sangat valid) pada aspek konstruksi, 91%  (sangat valid) pada aspek bahasa dan 87% (sangat valid) aspek media. Sehingga jika ditinjau secara keseluruhan aspek, prototype yang dikembangkan memiliki tingkat kevalidan sebesar 86,7% termasuk kategori sangat valid sehingga desain produk intrumen soal HOTS berbasis Quizizz dengan tema Hipertensi yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa.Kata Kunci: Instrumen soal, HOTS, Quizizz, Hipertensi.
